Chambersite was feeling a bit better as he was rubbing the man's face against the brick wall in the alleyway. Unfortunately for the would-be robber, he had chosen the wrong man to try and attack, and Chambersite had quickly reacted, powering up and then knocking the man unconscious. As he was draining energy he kept the thief pressed up against the wall, wondering if he shouldn't just slam the other's head again. Chambersite was not happy after being randomly attacked, and on such a nice night with no school now that it was all over, well, he had nowhere else to be.

Suddenly, he felt a blip of an aura somewhere and groaned, dropping the man and pocketing the energy that he had taken. There was an Order person around here, not one that he wanted to deal with tonight.

But he was feeling up to a fight. He was still angry at the failure after all. Maybe it would be good to throw his fists around for a bit, even if he ended up losing in the end!

Jaw still sore and discolored from her last encounter with a person sporting a Chaotic aura, Nis almost spun on her heel and headed in the opposite direction. She was more than tired of coming off worst in the more violent encounters she'd had. But her pride chose that moment to be prickly.

But if I run, I'll never get better and I'll keep getting turned into a punching bag for assholes.

The thought was unbearable. And therefore, with pride taking the wheel, Nis walked firmly in the direction of the aura she'd felt. If it was another girl, at least she knew that hair pulling worked!

Chambersite was still trying to pinpoint the direction of the aura that was nearby. He could feel it getting closer, but the buildings surrounding him made it hard to tell which direction they were from.

He kept his back to the wall, hoping that the Page wouldn't be able to punch or go through it somehow to hit him in the back. That would be weird. Was there a Page that could do that? He would have to check the database.

It wasn't until he thought he saw the shadows moving that he could see where the Page was coming from, and, if he had timed this correctly, when they just stepped out to be able to see him, he threw his "weapon" at the Page, hoping that it would distract them enough to not see his next "attack".

Nis moved carefully as she got closer to the aura. She didn't want to end up with her back against anything that could prevent a retreat if needed. Nor did she want to give whomever-it-was a chance to spot her before they knew where she was.

Unfortunately, she failed at that last and yelped as something was thrown at her. Jumping a little and moving to avoid, she scanned the area, trying to figure out who or what was there.

"Seriously," she muttered, "we're throwing things like five year olds now? Are you kidding me?"

Chambersite had expected the Page to do... something other than stand there and look around. He sighed and walked closer to her. He thought he heard her say something, though he couldn't make out what it was. "I don't like it when Order folks interrupt me." He said, trying to be a bit threatening. "But if you want, you can just walk away and let me finish. Not like I'm killing anybody." After all, energy was a lot more convenient. And he didn't like pulling starseeds all that much.

He used one of his hands to make a "shoo"-ing motion at the Page. "Go on. If you don't want a fight you can just move on." He said, trying to make her leave. If she didn't though, he wasn't afraid of using his fists to try to convince her. "I'm not the type to attack just because. But if I need to I will."

Oh, you are ******** kidding me. Nis watched the officer step into view and then proceed to expound at her. Rolling her eyes she bit back a sharp reply at the notion that she should just be a good little girl and walk away because the man said so. Even better was the shoo-ing motion. Because that was guaranteed to make her comply.

Not.

"Yeah, I don't think so. Maybe next time try to not act patronizing. Or have drained bodies laying around."

She paused for a moment, wanting to goad him. Lips twitching in a half smile, she picked her mountain and braced herself.

"Also you? So very not threatening. I've seen guppies scarier than you."

Chambersite could feel his eye twitching. He wanted to say how dare she, but they were both on the same level at this point. He was a lieutenant with no weapon, and she was a page with no weapon. It's not like he could be very intimidating with a toy-turnip after all.

"Good, that just means you underestimate me then." He sneered and summoned his weapon again. He threw it once more at her, this time aiming for her legs, before rushing her. He hoped that it would distract her, at least for a little bit.

Taking small comfort in the fact that she knew the very junior officers had weapons that weren't terribly harmful, Nis stood her ground, summoning her own honeysuckle vine and wound the ends around her fists. She winced as the lieutenant's weapon hit hit leg and hard, but refused to give him the satisfaction of seeing her jump and scream like a little girl. She was doubtless going to get hurt, but be damned if she let this one get away without getting a couple licks of her own ******** sake, stop talking, y't**t," she snarled. "It's boring."

Doing the best she could to brace herself, Nis only hoped that her poor jaw would be spared this time.

Unfortunately, the Page didn't look down like he wanted, so he had to come up with a new plan. When he got close to her, he quickly moved to the side and decided to shove her shoulder instead. If he got her off balance, it would be easier to fight her, right? Unless for some reason she had some weird magic up her sleeve or something.

He used both of his hands, trying to shove her. If only he could throw her off...

Shoving? Really? What was this guy? Twelve? She couldn't help but stagger off balance given how forcefully he'd pushed. And given that she was in heels, she knew that she was going to go down unless she grabbed something to help her keep her balance.

It was a pity that the only thing to grab within reach was the lieutenant's arm.

Doing her best to latch onto his elbow and remain upright, Nis hoped that gravity wouldn't end up pulling them both down. Though if it did, she was going to slap the boy silly for putting both of them into such a ridiculous situation.

Should have figured that would happen. He thought as he felt the Page tightly grip his arm. He moved one of his legs to balance himself better, and wondered what to do now. Since it's only one arm... He kicked out one of his legs at her stomach. If he hit her, they would both go down, but he figured he would be less likely to be hurt than she would be. Still, this wasn't the greatest position, and it would be best if he could figure out who to get out of her grip.

When it came, the kick was surprising and unpleasant. Grunting as her fingers spasmed on the officer's arm, Nis let herself fall. As she fell, she reflexively kicked out her own foot, hoping that it would catch the little ******** where it would hurt the most.

Though really, she'd be satisified with landing any kind of a blow on him that would make him cautious about coming at her while she tried to get her wind back.

Victory! He had managed to knock the Page down! Unfortunately, with that also came a counter-attack that he wasn't ready for and it caught his knee, making it straighten and almost bend the way back a bit. Luckily he had been pretty stable, but he knew he wouldn't be able to fight that well for that leg until it healed. Seriously though, wasn't this the second time or something that someone had kicked that knee? He was only lucky that he could heal slightly faster than normal humans, or else he was going to have some serious knee problems in the future.

He took a few steps back, wincing as the knee still felt uncomfortable to use. He didn't want to leave himself open for another kick! Especially to that knee again!

Yes! Gasping slightly, Nis rested a moment. Then, once she felt like she could breathe, she rolled to her feet and crouched, watching the officer. She might not have caught him where she wanted, but it seemed her kick had done some good at least. Rising slowly to her feet, she winced as the muscles in her abdomen protested. Okay, yeah. She was going to be sore and nearly useless for a few days at least.

Now all she had to do was figure out how to take the lieutenant out long enough for her to make a solid getaway. She could try for the knee that she'd hit, but he'd be watching for something like that. And useless as both of their weapons were, his had the advantage of not being super delicate.

She really should have just ignored the dude's aura when she'd first felt it. Someday she'd learn.

Chambersite watched as the Page got to her feet, though it was in a crouching position now. For a moment he thought that she was lucky that outfit managed to cover her midsection.

She then rose up and he could definitely see that she was hurt too. Good. She deserves it. He thought as he tried to figure out what to do next. He thought of summoning his weapon and throwing it at her again, but since she didn't react the second time, he doubted she would react the third. Apparently it was one and done with this Page.

He couldn't rush her either considering the condition that his knee was in right now. He would have to keep it bent slightly, which would mean some lopsided walking and no kicking attacks, but he could still use his arms! He walked toward her and sent a punch straight at her face!
