Aletheia had just gotten away from yet another discussion with a higher up who didn't think she was doing her best and wanted a giant piece of cake in her mouth as soon as possible. However, she wasn't exactly anywhere close to home right now and, therefore, had to settle for whatever food the castle's mess hall could provide her while she waited for her escort back to Earth to get done with whatever it was they were doing.
"Whatever this is..." She muttered, poking the cup on her tray with her finger. "It sure isn't banana pudding."
She licked the tip of her finger shortly thereafter and had to restrain herself from gagging. Oh, Lordy! What was that texture? Someone in that kitchen need to be fired and pronto! She set the tray down on a table, turned her nose in the air, and turned to head right out the door.
Then, she spotted something fluffy out of the corner of her eye. She paused, her mouth tugging up into a massive grin, and couldn't get over to the table fast enough.
"Look at how precious!" She squealed, practically rocking the entire table as she placed her elbows down on the table. Forget cake, a sweet little kitty like this was far better! "God, if only I had your job. I bet you could get away with anything with that adorable face of yours!"
Tolin Kalin I'm not entirely sure how she got there either, but I'm rolling with it? LOL.

Though the sound of a very pleased voice was what woke Chip, it wasn’t until the thump on his table that he blinked his eyes open and made a point of stretching slowly, tiny limbs sticking out and up ever so slightly, before he shifted into a sitting position to gaze up at the senshi that just turned up, his tail flicking slowly from side to side behind him.
“Maaaaybe,” he drew out with a catty little grin. “I dunno if I could do aaanything, but,” he rocked from side to side a bit, head tilting with it, “Nobody’s ever told me not to nap where ever I want, so...I must be doing something right!” He giggled, eyes closed briefly, and then looked down at the food that was placed there.
He sniffed at it. “Oh,” he said, nose near the ‘pudding,’ “I didn’t know humans ate watery chalk!”

Oh no, those little legs! Those big green eyes! Aletheia could have melted right then and there had she not been leaning on this table. Someone out there in this universe was looking out for her today if she was being blessed with something this cute.
"Oh, you should be allowed to nap anywhere you want!" She declared, waving her hand about dismissively. "And if anyone ever gets mad about it, just let me know. I'll set them straight about a thing or two."
Well, unless they were someone who could punt her across the Negaverse. There were limits to how much peril she was willing to put herself in. She made a little face at herself and directed her attention to the 'pudding.'
"This? It's pathetic." She grumbled, nudging the tray with a pointed finger. "The person who made it should be demoted. Calling it a pudding is an insult."
She looked off to the food line as she thought and wondered, just for a moment, if she would be allowed to go back into the kitchen and raise a little hell without getting into too much trouble. No, that would make everything worse for her right now. She set her focus back to Chip.
"So..." She began, tapping her fingers together. "Do you like being pet or is that a universal no-go?"

Her support of his napping habits pleased Chip, and the grin and flick of his tail reflected that feeling.
“Hmm, so, not good food, then,” he nodded, sniffing again. “Good to know!” Human tastes mental record: Updated. Admittedly, it wasn’t a surprising piece of information, but still. Every little bit.
To the question of petting, he stepped his tiny paws a little closer and purred out, “You may pet me...Aletheia.” He grinned a little. “That’s your name, right?” Cat-knowing-senshi powers were exciting things, and something he needed to practice some, he figured. “My name’s Chip!”

“We Guardians can sense things about Senshis like you,” Chip explained, purring softly at the petting, his eyes half closed. “And we’re definitely smart,” he added agreeably.
“I like to explore,” he offered. “Around the castle here, mostly, but also out in Destiny City, too. And, of course, I build stuff!” He shifted a little bit closer, letting the petting continue. “It’s my job, I guess, but, oh, I do so love building new things for people.”
That most of his inventions thus far were...incomplete at best was beside the point. Some time soon he was sure he’d make something incredible.

Chip took a moment to reply, clearly enjoying the pettings as he purred along with them. Finally, though, he said, "Oh, I make all kinds of things!" He stretched a little and continued, "I really like making machines that spin and crank and look flashy...but sometimes that doesn't really fit."
He looked around briefly, but then scooted in closer. "I'm working on a really fancy coffee fabricator, though it doesn't quite work yet..." In fact, it may have been a whirling deathtrap. That couldn't be confirmed, though.

Ooooh, so it was just a regular coffee maker. Aletheia let all of her wild little fantasies fade away and settled back into reality. Going after the perfect cup of coffee was a valiant task, espescially if it could be mass produced. She could see why he'd put so much effort into making a machine like that. She moved to rub under his chin.
"I have to admit, the name does sound cool now that I understand what it's for." She laughed, pouting a little as his ears drooped. However, his confidence brought her right back to smiling. "Exactly! You're a very smart kitty, I'm sure you'll get it to work the way you want it to one of these days!"
And, hopefully, she'd be able to do the same with her quota and get these higher ups off her back. Wishful thinking for now, but if Chip could get his coffee fabricator up and running, she could learn to gather energy without second guessing herself.
"You know..." She hummed, smoothing her hand over his ears and back. "I would love to be a taste tester for your machine, if you're ever looking for one! I happen to enjoy creating delicious things of my own and I'd like to think I have a good idea of what the perfect cup of coffee would taste like."
