It was slow. Elpis has managed to escape from computers and her home business to do some patrolling, and with Miss Kitty choosing to stay at home with her human family, Elpis was out alone for the night looking for things to do, maybe some chaos to bust -- although, mostly, Negaverse Lieutenants. Coirrupted Senshi were a bit horrifying, despite the Eternal's power, and she didn't really feel up to enduring the fighting associated with trying to deal with chaos as it was, so she was alert, but not actively seeking a fight. Instead, the senshi was taking a moment to sit, toying with her phone as she considered going to check in on the dead and petrified landscape of the city she found on her world. Sure, petrified wood and stone was creepy, but she'd found her....

Hmm.

Elpis tugged gently on the ancient fabric of The Warlord's proposal. While it wasn't active presently it was a piece of ancient history she felt she owed the fallen son of another world to wear, and gods knew what else was on her homeworld. Styill, she wasn't sure, and the presence of another4 Order aura drew her from thought.

After all, she wasn't hiding from her own faction, and the senshi looked up to follow the sensation, waving as she spotted another senshi.

"Hey!" She greeted. "What brings you out so late?"

Kami hadn't expected to meet anyone else tonight. He had gone patrolling alone as a way to take a break from his finals studying. Well, to be honest he really hoped that he wouldn't get into a battle that would require time to heal from making him miss class. It would terrible to go through the whole semester only to fail all of his classes because he had his arms broken or something.

So he was surprised when he felt an aura of another Order Senshi, he was glad that he wouldn't be having to deal with any chaos tonight. Yet. Hopefully.

He waved back at her when he saw her and when she was finally close enough and asking him questions he responded, though with a bit of apprehension in his voice, only because he hadn't yet met the Senshi before. "Taking a break from my civilian life and thinking." He shrugged. It was true after all. "I keep looking up into the sky and during the night there are just, so many places out there. I still haven't visited my comet, and I was lucky enough to have someone else take me to theirs, but I still want to visit a lot of others too, you know?" Well, that was kind of random and came out of nowhere. But it was what he was thinking about at least.

"I'm Takamizawa, though you can call me Kami." He said, holding out his hand. "What's your name?"

Elpis liustened, surprised the other Order Senshi was so forward with information, but also so curious. The Eternal senshi decided this senshi wasa good egg, and nodded.

"I get that. Civilian life's rough sometimes. I like keeping my family safe." The Eternal motioned, and beamed, nodding some as she offered a handshake.,

"Elpis. And I understand. I actually haven't been more than two places." Her homeworld, and her Court's... Base? Something? "Actually, I was thinking of poking arouind my world. If you're curious about places, you could come. Last time I found this. And sometimes I get weird memories too. It's not awful, seeing a new place. You learn more that way."

She smiled encouragingly -- it was up to him, but treat new senshi? Why not?

Don't feel bad Kami Elpis seems to bring out good things in people.

Kami was surprised. Mostly that a complete stranger was offering to let him see her homeworld, but he certainly wouldn't pass it up! "Yes please. I have to admit, that as much as I want to see my homeworld I want to experience others before going to it. I hope to get an idea of how to maybe fix mine up." Though he doubted that he would be able to do it without any help. Encke had told him what he had done, and he still didn't believe the Transcendent entirely.

He took a look fabric, wondering what it was about, but figured that it might be better to ask once they were on her homeworld. "I have time to go now if you want." He was still nervous though, but felt better about not going alone. Still, he wondered about these "Past life visions". He was pretty sure he would freak out a bit when or if he had his first one.

"That's probably a good plan." Elpis said calmly. The senshi motioned upwards at the stars, squaring her shoulders faintly as if addressing a group.

"I'll warn you, it's quiet up there. I haven't seen anything living except a bunch of plants nd you'll probably see those when we get there, so it'll be really quiet, asidfe from the two of us." Elpis cautioned gently. She didn't want him alarmed -- and even though it wasn't sensory depravation exactly, it was unsettling only hearing one's circulatory system.

"Ready?"

Kami nodded. He was ready. And he had just gone to the other homeworld. This one couldn't be too different, right? Though he did hear that there were plants. "That's okay, as long as they aren't the human-eating kind." He said, trying to inject some humor into his words, but was also serious at the same time. He did not want to be battling a bunch of giant plants or get eaten by one.

"I'm ready whenever you are." He declared, a bit more confidently than he felt about the entire thing.

....Elpis wanted to keepo this one, he told good jokes. The Eternal grinned, chuckling.

"Nah, they seem mostly harmless. Definately not like Earth flowres though." Elpis nodded, before lightly placing a hand on Kami's back, preparing to take him along.

It was certainly different from taking Miss Kitty in terms of energy use, but she supposed that was why the shrug-like Warlord's Proposal worked so well -- she sighed a bit as the city disappeared, and slowly Elpis faded into view. The sky was brightly illuminated compared to the night Elpis was accustomed to -- pleasantly confirming the plants got sunlight. Fields of flowers greeted them where they stood outside of an ancient ciuty. The flowers were, themselves, visually similar to Earth's, however, they seemed almost porous like a pumice or other stone, harder, and yet should they touch pliable. It was a cross between stone and flower, many resembling tulips or lilies. Elpis sighed, motioning patiently.

"So these're the flowers, but the city is." Elpis motioned in the direction of the citythen, nodding. "Well, I can't remember her name, just that it was the capital, based on what I know. There's a lot of petrified wood, though. And art." No, she didn't deny the frescoes were interesting, if weird to see. The Eternal hummed then, looking over.

"What do you wanna see first?"

"It'll be interesting to see the different flora at least." He hoped that his homeworld had some plants. Or perhaps a place to put them that he got from different homeworlds to be used in miniature zen gardens if he thought they would fit. Of course, he would have to ask first!

It took a few moments of blinking before Kami was able to open his eyes fully again, and he realized that they were no longer on Earth. Which meant that they must have been on Elpis. "Well, this is the first time I'm visiting a homeworld while there's daylight." He chuckled lightly. It was nice though, to see it with the full light instead of in the darkness.

An eyebrow rose when the eternal couldn't remember the name of the city, but he figured that she would just have to write it down someday. He shrugged at her question. "Whatever you think would be best. I don't have a preference, but I would like to see as much as possible." It was true at least. He wanted to see as much as possible, but if they did get to any plants, he didn't want to be rushed when he looked at them.

Elpis let her eyes adjust to the sudden day, wincing. She actually hadn't planned for day, used to walking through at night herself, but the sunlight did make some sense -- it wasn't Earth. The orbit was different... And Elpis needed to remember that she supposed. The Eternal hummed thoughtfully, letting Kami speak before motioning.

"Might be fun to go bythe library or Academy for the art." She noted. "Books are illegible, but I do have to admit, seeing the frescoes in daylight might be fun."

And unique. She could check things to see what happened _after_ dying, perhaposd.

Ha. Weird thoiught. Dying up here... Another hgand touched "There's a lot of stuff. However long you're down. I dunno about sleep so..."

"I'd rather go and see the frescoes first. I mean, books are great and all, but if one can't understand them, then there isn't too much you can gain from them unless they have something besides text in there. But I don't have a time to go back, so if you want to go to where the books are next, I'll follow." He shrugged. They currently weren't on Earth anymore, and while he wished that time would stop while he visited these Homeworlds, it was still better than hanging out there, even if it meant he was going ot stay up later.

"I can tell you when I start to get tired and want to go back. I won't force myself to stay here to the point where I fall asleep. And I'm sure you'll want to go back sometime too. At least to drop me off." He didn't want to imply that she wanted to get away from this place, but as of yet it didn't seem like she was living here. She probably had a life back on Earth too.

"Since it's your place, I'll follow you while you lead the way." He chuckled. Of course it shouldn't be left up to him, but it would have been kind of funny if he was the one to lead them.

"Fair point. I'm fairly sure the books are in dead languages anyhow." Elpis nodded, and moved to begin guiding him into the deserted ghost town. "I'm not offended either way. I mean, there's crashspace in the barracks if we need it, I just don't know if we CAN sleep ir if I should be awake. No big regardless, and no rush. S' nice to share things with someone."

The Eternal grinned to Kami over her shoulder, and moved forward. Entering the city, it was clear the plantlife was in cracks and crevices. There were ivies with yellow star shaped flowers in walls, trying to reclaim ancient sone and petrified wooden buildings, most stone chiselled brisk with glassless window. The road was overgrown in grass, leaving little to show what originally composed them, minus a few stones here and there. Some buildings bore signs in indecipherable text, however every so often a spot of color would be easily seen in public areas. The city seemed almost frozen in time, if damaged before or after the wood had petrified -- as if something had torn throgh, and some walls looked like figures were chiselled out. Elpis seemed to be assessing these, frowning as she sighed.

"Sorry it's somewhat messy, I'm usually here at night, so...." How disappointing, she felt' to see public art damaged. A twinge of a past memory nudged the edge of her eyes, but fleeting -- her people must have been so disappointed. She'd need to talk to Miss Kitty later...

Kami nodded and followed the Eternal, looking around as they went. It was interesting to see. He had never explored ancient ruins, well, except when he had gone to other Homeworlds and Wonders, but it was still interesting to see. It was unfortunate however that they were unable to decipher any of these dead languages. Either they were so complicated that they would never be solved, or there was something like a rosetta stone, where if they could figure out one language, then they could figure out another, and so on.

He shrugged when she apologized to him. "It's not your fault. I can't imagine anyone being able to fix these places up so quickly by themselves, even if we do have some magic." When he had gone to the transcended's homeworld, he figured that one was more "awake" because of the connection between the two. Since Elpis hadn't transcended, then it still looked pretty, well, ruin-y.

"I haven't even seen my comet, I'm sure your's isn't as bad as it is." He said, trying to lighten the situation up a bit.

"Doesn't help I think Past-Me ticked off other cultures, I think." She made a face. Recalling the reason she had the shrug... Coiwl.... Thing alone was purely awkward and strange, and the Eternal still felt horrible she'd been an idiot, especially now, fingers lightly touching a wall with a wince.

"Kind of a pity I can't find out how the art was made at least. Though, I'd need to find a magic artist anyhow." She chuckled, then nodded politely, leading Takamizu into the Academy eagerly. Luckily, the damaghe was less within, the building in-situ as it ever was, silently awaiting a new class of students... Eternally, for now. Desks rest in the classrooms, petrified and hardened, the metal bars and braces somehow unrusted. Frescos of combat lewttered the building, lit through the windows at present, shafts of light illuminating points and rooms along the way.

"There's storage in here somewhere we can look in, but it's mostly just old battle supplies and only good for looking at." A sigh. "Found this in there." Elpis motioned to her cowl-shrug, the Warlord's Proposal ever shimmering in the shafts -- Elpis had to wonder how ancient cloth could even stand up to the rigors of time, but, that meant nothing now.

"Pretty sure this place connects to a palace somewhere, too."
PostPosted: Mon Jun 10, 2019 7:57 pm

Kami was surprised that she would know such a thing about her past life. Or at least, seemed pretty confident of it. "Well... I suppose not all of us had the greatest past lives. Not everything was hunky-dory all the time either. Though it feels weird you know? Like we know how we are now... so our past lives feel both familiar and completely strange. Though I should talk. I haven't even checked out my place yet." It was what he was thinking though. After all, their past lives were completely different. Not all, or even any, of them could have realized that they would be reincarnated into one type of race and into the type of person that their future lives would eventually be.

It was a shame that they couldn't learn everything about the art, how it was made, really a lot of their past lives. Even archeologists and historians on Earth could only make inferences as to how ancient cultures worked, and they seemed to be changing those at least once a decade!

He followed her into the Academy and was quite amazed by it. Sure, it looked old and dilapidated and totally "stoned" but it was a piece of history, and just getting to be here was a chance that most people would never be able to do.

He listened to her and nodded when she motioned to the cowl-shrug that she was wearing. But when he heard that there might be a palace, he was a bit more intrigued. "A palace? Really? That's awesome! I'd love to try and find it with you, but if you want to leave or we get tired, then I won't force us to stay either. It would be an incredible thing to find, but I don't want us to collapse from exhaustion!" If need be, perhaps they could come back later with the right supplies such as food and fresh water and supplies to stay overnight. "It's fine if you want to show different places though. We don't have to look for it." It might be better to do anyway, when they were both fully awake and not just wanting to get away from Earth for a few hours or a day.

"Most of my memories so far relate to thius. It's called the Warlord's Proposal... It was... An engagement gift, and let's just say I lost it on accident." A sigh, the Eternal shaking her head. She didn't know if her warlord too, was reborn, but he may yet deserve a better future if so, forgiving he'd seemed when things fell apart. She supposed a compilation of memories tying to why she'd died was SOMETHING, however. The senshi hummed then, listening intently.

"I've never explored outside of the city. It might not be here. Finding it does sound like a good idea though -- for all we know there might be something new." The senshi seemed thoughtful.

"I'm alright looking for it any time, though -- now or later. I'm my own boss back on Earth, so I know actually working isn't a problem. What about you? I mean, I dunno about food, but all this greenery means there must be water, so...."

She hummed thoughtfully. "I doubt there's edibles in the supply chjambers, though."
