Several weeks had passed since his first mission which had ended in partial success. Adamantine and Strengite were successful in apprehending Striker, an Eternal Senshi involved in the uprising here in Witzend. Unfortunately the Super Senshi both he and Leifite were trying to detain decided that death was the preferred alternative to being captured and in turn used her magic to blow herself up. It was clear enough that her intent was to take at least one of them down with her, which she nearly succeeded in doing had Dravite no of let go of her in time to shield his face from the explosion.

In the days that followed after Striker’s interrogation, Isaac had been taking it easy, or trying to at least, while his injuries healed. However, every time he closed his eyes, the events that lead up to, and including the moment when their captive took her own life, kept replaying in his mind which triggered similar events that happened overseas. Luck was the only reason he made it out alive, nothing else; simply luck.

As a means to keep his mind otherwise preoccupied, Isaac scouted out some of the notable location hubs, such as the hat shop he had briefly read about in a newspaper article, while keeping up to date with the reports that were posted especially those relating to their own missing agents. Chase was able to shed more light on the situation in their last meeting which painted a rather daunting picture.

It was for those reasons that he had taken a day to buy a few key items, purchased along with various pieces of hiking gear such as a sleeping bag to seem less suspicious, in order to better equip himself for his next mission. Without his gun, Isaac felt naked and exposed, but he understood why it was important to leave it behind; not only would customs have taken it at the gate, but it would also raise an eyebrow and possibly expose their mission if he were to be perceived as a potential threat before even leaving the states.

A retractable metal baton hung from his hip which was easy enough to conceal with his jacket along with a Gerber all in one toolset in his back pocket; which included pliers, mini scissors, a file and screwdriver head among other useful tools. In one pocket he had about six feet of solid wire, similar to his powered weapon which he had been practicing with over the last several months, although this one would hopefully be a bit more durable given that it wasn’t small chain links holding it together. Lastly, tucked into his boot, there was a Gerber automatic knife. More than likely he wouldn’t get a chance to use it before being forced to power up but it was better to go into a magic fight with at least a knife rather than nothing at all.
