Flanked on either side by tall deciduous trees, Lavendulan took a seat on an empty bench along the interurban trail. Her glamour had prematurely worn off but not before she was able to have a brief lunch as well as retrieve a suitcase full of belongings from her apartment that she wanted to bring with her to the rift. There was more she wished to get but had to leave it for next time.

Unfortunately the little predicament also meant that she had to wait for her partner, Lopezite, to power up so she could let him know that their meeting location had changed. With her communication crystal in hand she had been about to contact him when an odd aura flared up nearby. It wasn’t as strong as her Captians’ but felt wrong just the same as it seemed to oppose her very nature.

Lavendulan rose from her seat, a curious if not wary look on her face while waiting to see if the owner of this signature would leave her be or intended to confront her for god knows what reason.

Cygnus had been doing his best to stay in shape recently. Sure, he was just a kid, but he was getting older and his focus had shifted considerably in the last few months. Now, all he wanted to do was be strong, so he could crush anyone that tried to take anything from him. So he could defeat everyone that had anything to do with his brother being taken away.

And so he could make anyone he hated pay.

It seemed like they were pretty normal, simple goals. He was causing his family a lot of grief, while focusing only on his own goals. It was never really in his nature to be the most observant, thoughtful kid around, but now that he had entered his young teens, he was in full on rebellion stage. Thus he was out and powered up whenever he wanted to be, not caring if his parents found his room empty or not.

Or maybe he did care, but he was just burying all those emotions with all the other trauma that came from losing his brother.

Feeling chaos, he was glad for the distraction from his thoughts. It took a little navigating to find the right trail, but he spotted a... nega? standing near a bench soon enough.

Folding his arms over his chest, he frowned at her.

"What are you supposed to be?"

Lavendulan nearly balked at the question but instead raised a brow in the kids direction. Such a rude thing to ask. Then again, given her current appearance, could she really blame him?

“An unfortunate product of circumstance.” She replied. Crossing her arms over her chest she shifted her weight on to one leg. “A half-youma.” Laven then added after a moment’s pause. “As for what kind, your guess is as good as mine.”

Together with Lopezite, they had spent some time debating that topic and narrowed it down to a few possible options; sea elf of some sort, naga perhaps, maybe even a water dragon or sea serpent because of the horns. Hell, chances are she was probably a good mix of a few different things. All Lavendulan knew was that she definitely wasn’t human any more, not fully anyway.

Cygnus did not look impressed at her explanation, frowning at her and crossing his arms over his chest with renewed annoyance. He had experience with youma, yes, but not with 'half' youma. It was not a concept he had ever entertained before, either: how on earth did someone get themselves fused with a youma? A dance?

Earrings?

"So, what, is your mom a youma or is it your dad's side?" He said, rather snidely. Clearly, he thought he had hit the pinnacle of malicious comedy with that one, and was rather proud of himself. When he thought he was about to hear crickets, he cleared his throat and continued. "But you're still a Nega, so I still have to fight you, huh? That's no problem. I'm too old to be scared of monsters now."

Big lie. He was still very much afraid of monsters, especially ones that could fit under his bed, so he was hoping she would get scared and run off. Avoiding a fight with something he was scared of was always good in his book, even if it meant letting a bad guy get away. He already knew he was a pretty shitty super hero, anyway, so for now he was fine with just trying to get by.

And finding the people responsible for stealing his brother, of course.

The kid was probably braver than she was in that regard since full youma still made her uncomfortable. It made no difference if they were tied to an officer as their personal monstrous pet they were creatures, and now… so was she at least half of one anyway.

Two months wasn’t much time to get used to any of this but she was still slowly learning which is why she really had no concrete answers to offer the child. But the accusation of her parents being anything but the human did make her a bit annoyed. “Neither of them are youma, thank you!” Laven bit back.

“And I’m not interested in fighting a child, even if you need an attitude adjustment.” There was a darker part of her that stirred with the thought of putting the senshi in his place but Lavendulan stamped it down before it could take hold and do anything rash.

"You might not wanna fight me, but I sure want to fight you! I don't care what you are: if you're evil, I'm going to destroy you! I won't ever forgive Chaos for what it's done, and what it takes from people, and just being a part of that makes you something that needs to go! I'm going to get rid of all of you!"

The Chibi Senshi talked a big game, particularly now when he was so wrapped up in his anger and hatred, and had no other way to express his loss. He punched one fist into the palm of the other hand, cracking his knuckles and scowling at the strange half-monster with a forced determination.

Following through on his threats was always the tough part. Ultimately, he was really not that strong, and no one ever really wanted to fight him anyway. He had to prove himself somehow, no matter what.

Even if that meant fighting like a street thug, and throwing the first punch.

So he charged at her, even though she was still sitting on the bench, pulling his fist back and swinging for her head. Not her face, or her jaw, or her cheek, but her temple.

Lavendulan sighed and as the kid ran at her she closed her eyes and allowed her body to shift into that of water. He was quick, but while in her metamorphosis state she was quicker, something she had learned durring her spar with Lopezite which was fortunate enough to say.

His aim had been true but rather than his fist connecting with the side of her head it passed through it instead. There was no pain but the sensation was still something she was getting used to as her body just reformed around him like a river or stream bending around an obstacle.

Standing up, Laven moved swiftly behind him “You’re not going to get rid of anyone if you charge in like that.” Between her hands, she formed a globe of water which she tossed at him when he looked her way. However, rather than allowing it to hit him she dispursed the ball and instead showered him, and his uniform, in droplets of water. “You’re likely to get yourself killed.” If any other officer saw what she had done they would likely reprimand her for not fighting back or refusing to drain the kid's energy.

But he was just a child who was hurting inside for reasons she did not completely understand but a part of her could at least relate to. “I never asked for this, to be turned into a half youma. This wasn’t a choice I made for myself and I may never find out who made that decision for me. You still have a choice on how to live your life kid, so don’t go throwing it away so haphazardly.” She had claws and teeth and abilities that could knock him around a bit but that would only add fuel to his fire.

“I’m not evil,” hell she had never even stolen anything with the exception of some energy but it was never enough to leave the person completely drained, but that was the expectation that had been placed upon her for a job she never even applied for.

1) Physical: Draconic-Water
Lavendulan's youma side is that of an adolescent water dragon. As such her draconic aspects have altered her physically which also grant advantages while in aquatic type environments. Among these changes are her claw-tipped fingers which have webbing between them allowing for quicker movement speed while swimming in water. Her claws are sharp enough to tear flesh and fabric, but not pierce through thick armor or metal but can scratch it. The scales cover approximately 25% of her body most notably around her neck down her upper back and over her shoulder blades as well as on her hips and down the side of each leg. These scales act like armor and the skin there is more durable, however multiple strikes to the same area may loosen the scales, leaving sensitive, raw skin underneath. Being merged with a water dragon type youma grants movement speed while in water due to the webbing between her fingers as well as the ability to breath under water (which will probably never come in to play outside of a solo).

2) Magical: Water Metamorphosis
While still retaining her actual form Lavendulan's entire body transforms into water.

When in this form she is one with her element; physical attacks pass through her unaffected like putting your hand into a flowing stream her body morphs around it. Her movement speed is increased, like a river upstream weaving through rapids, but not to exceed the next highest stage allowing her to change location quickly. While metamorphosis is active Lavendulan can bend water around her in a 7' radius. It takes one of two shapes; a sphere similar to size and weigh of a medicine ball or a thin whip. Both are used more defensively like a harsh shove to push someone over or a snapping sensation. At most there might be a bruise in the morning unless the character she's attacking lands on something unfortunate.

Duration: 20 seconds
Usage: 3
Note: Certain magic attacks still work but will need to be discussed before a battle. At general stage the movement increase while in water form will not match that of a General King or Queen.

"I'm not going to be lectured by a monster!" Cygnus said, stumbling as his hand passed through water, pulling away and growling. So she had powers like the less cool wonder twin. Would that protect her from his smoke attack? He was not sure: it was magical, after all, but he had never tried it against a monster before.

He growled, not in the mood to have yet another person trying to tell him how to live his life. What was with these bad guys? why did they all feel like they had some sort of right to preach to him, when they were the ones stealing energy and killing people for a living?

"Just because you think you're a good person that doesn't mean you'll stay that way. Chaos ruins everything, and you'll be ruined too! I don't care what you think, or if you think I'm throwing my life away. If I can take at least a couple of you Chaos monsters out along the way then it's worth it. Keep you from stealing any more family!"

Not having many other options, the pig headed boy charged again. Maybe if he kept breaking the water apart, it would stay that way.

Just because you think you’re a good person that doesn’t mean you’ll stay that way. His statement rang true in her ears. He wasn’t wrong in saying that considering there were times where even she wondered the same thing.

For now she only looked like a monster, how long until she started acting like one too?

It was no secret that Lavendulan was soft, and not in the literal sense. More so in the fact that she wasn’t much of a fighter. Even before Lopezite had tried sparing with her he knew that she’d be hesitant in hitting back. She had been hit a few times by her Captain and supported a few bruises aftermath of their training session but through it all she almost refused to take a swing or use her claws.

Even when face to face with one of the White Moon senshi he had talked about, her upheld belief against violence remained the same. “I get it. You’ve had someone important taken away.” With each swing he took Laven jumped backward away from him. “But I had nothing to do with it.” She had been trapped in the Dark Kingdom for so long that there were times she actually forgot what natural light looked or felt like.

Laven could feel her metamorphic form was about to end and so she formed a new globe of water and tossed it to him like a hot potato in hopes of making him flinch so she could just put a little bit of distance between them. “You’re angry, and by the sounds of it, you have every right to feel that way. But if you keep this up the only thing you’ll earn yourself is an early grave. Do you think that’s what the people you care about want? What about those that care about you or who are no longer here, do you think they want you acting so carelessly in their name?”

Sailor Scout Attack: Feel My Fear
Cygnus creates a cloud of smoke that evaporates in the air. The area around him becomes infected with this gas, which makes a person's body react like it is experiencing a strong dose of fear. The effect radius is immediately around Cygnus, branching out to about five feet in any direction, and lingers in the air for ten seconds before it vanishes. If breathed in, the effects of the gas last for up to twenty seconds.

"I don't know who took him, and I don't care! Chaos did it, so Chaos has to pay! If I can't get him back, then I'll make sure you guys don't take anyone else from their families!" There were tears in the still rather young boy's eyes. Yes, he was old enough to join the ranks of 'real' senshi, but he was still very young in spirit and heart. He was immature, hurting, and not sure how else to deal with his emotions than to yell about it.

And swing his fists as hard as he could.

He was deterred by the water ball being thrown at him, backing up and taking a few ragged breaths from his onslaught. He was miserable, embarrassed that he was crying again, and still very, very angry.

"You have no idea what it's like. But you will. FEEL MY FEAR!"

It was a little cheap, calling his attack when she seemed to be letting her guard down, just trying to help him, but he was done with people who had no idea who he was or what he was fighting for trying to tell him not to fight for it. Yeah, he was a kid, but he still cared as much as any adult possibly could. That had to count for something, didn't it?

Confused, Laven watched as the cloud of smoke expanded around the young child before evaporating into nothingness. It was strange and she, against her better judgment, tentatively reached a hand out towards him.

Like a cresting wave crashing down upon her, a rushing of fear washed over her. It felt as if the air had been ripped from her lungs as her mind was once more thrust back into the moment she had fallen into the icy lake. Her pupils pulled into such thin slits that it almost appeared that her irises had swallowed them whole.

Laven took a staggering step backward.

The sounds she made shifted between a warning growl and a quiet whimper just before her body shifted once more into the watery state. “You already killed me once,” she snarled and without warning, she spun around on her heel. One arm slashed at someone, or something, that obviously wasn’t there while the other swung out, not with the orb as she had done before, but with a thin whip that cut through nothing but air.

“I won’t let you hurt me again. I won’t let you hurt him...” Even if the senshi was an ornery brat she still believed he deserved the chance to live as close to a normal life as possible. The one thing she could never have because the day she fell through the ice was the day she had drowned. Marissa was dead and all that remained was the memory of the life she once had and the sheet of ice that had been her grave before Lavendulan was born anew.

Cygnus watched in confusion as she reacted to his poison, stepping back and then tripping over his own feet and falling flat on his butt. It was always startling, seeing how effective fear could be against someone. It was a cruel power, in a way, but he had never really seen it in its true light before now. Before he understood what the pull of darkness felt like.

Before, he believed in super heroes. He believed in the chance to be more than he was, more than his friends and family and all the kids at school thought he could be. He was given that chance, to follow in his brother's footsteps. Except now there were no more footsteps to follow. He was gone, and Cygnus was lost.

It was fear that never went away. Though the smoke would fade in a matter of moments, and his enemy's senses would be restored, his own racing heart would never slow down. He bit his lower lip, trying hard to stop his tears, rubbing uselessly at his eyes before he got scrabbled to his feet. It was his chance to run.

"I- I'm sorry."

Though he was full of anger and pain, he was still just a kid. All bravado and big ideas, but when it come to following through... he was not sure he was ready to hurt anyone. No matter how their aura felt. She had done nothing to him. He was scared of himself in that moment, and he turned and ran as fast as his legs would carry him.

It felt like minutes had passed before the blurred form of the faceless agent smiled down at her. The memory she had of the man, or woman, was looking up at them through cracked ice and freezing water. No true definition other than the uniform colors black and green; however, this time she could have sworn she saw the color of their eyes before their form disappeared.

Perhaps it was just her imagination trying to fill in the gaps of her memory, or maybe…

Laven turned around in time to see the fleeting form of the young boy running away. In her frantic mind, his quiet apology didn’t register as her back had been turned towards him when he’d said it but was glad to see that he was not inclined to continue the fight. He was just a kid, with a future ahead of him, whoever had awoken him was certainly cruel-hearted for bringing him into this war between factions.

Before anyone else could happen upon her, she turned to gather her things and let Captian Lopezite know where to find her so she could go back to the barracks in the Dark Kingdom… the prison the Negaverse kept her in for being well… different.
