Three years of participation, and this was the first time Idrialite made it past the opening round of a tournament. It was a strange feeling, success, and one he hoped to keep chasing.
Briefly, he gave a polite bow to his opponent--as unfamiliar this time as last, and he noted to himself that perhaps he needed to get out more, besides these little battle excursions.
All things considered, that was probably why he was still a Lieutenant, three years in.
Once the "go" was sounded, Idrialite leapt forward and swung with his rifle, aiming for the midesction. He'd had much success that way so far, and if he could set this opponent off balance too, he'd be well pleased with himself.

HP: 17 Damage: 0 If she was being completely honest with herself, she was surprised that she had made it through the first round of the tournament. While her first opponent had put up a hell of a fight and she was a little worse for wear, she was ready and now excited to get to her second round. Leaning onto the balls of her feet, Tyrellite bounced in place, a mixture of nerves and the thrill of it all. An eyebrow raised when Idrialite bowed, then a grin spread across her face and she bowed right back. The “go” sounded and Tyrellite hadn’t even had a chance to summon her weapon (or even move, for that matter) before he was on her with a blow to her midsection that immediately knocked the wind out of her. She stumbled backwards with a grunt, then blew the bangs from away from her eyes unsuccessfully. “********,” she breathed as she took a second to allow her lungs to refill. “G’damn,” she added with a half-laugh. “You waste no time, eh?” Noir Songbird I'm happy to get the rolls out of the way!

Idrialite laughed a little himself. "Hesitation won't get you anywhere but killed, in a serious fight." Not that that was a danger here, but still. He shifted his stance, to allow himself to defend from her next hit, and...admittedly, he sort of contradicted his own words, because he hesitated himself, not wanting to press the attack.
This was, after all, not a serious, life or death battle, just a friendly spar.

HP: 17 Damage: 5 Lips pursed as she considered his point, and the validity of it. Quite frankly... He was right. While she was eager and excited to have this new-found power, she needed to make sure that there was no hesitation. The enemy won't hesitate, after all. Foregoing the weapon for now, she shifted, dropping a shoulder and putting her weight on one foot to push herself off and slam her body weight into her very dreamy, English-accenty opponent.

Idrialite gasped as she slammed into him, stumbling backwards a little bit. Sure, she was smaller, but with enough force, that almost didn’t matter. It took him a moment to catch his breath, but when he did, they were close enough that he could bring up his knee to drive it into her gut. Keep focusing a fairly tender area, and he was fairly certain he could bring her down.
