HP: 20While the first fight had been rough Uvarovite had been on the edge of the ring to provide him with an energy orb to crunch down before the second round started. He'd been mad at himself how close the fight had been but seeing the look on Uvarovite and Tourmaline's faces has been worth it. He'd still won. The second round though was going to be interesting. He and Cursa trained together often so it was either going to be a curse or a blessing. "Alright birdy, you up for this?" He grinned as they faced off, not really giving her much time before he lunged in and cuffed her on the shoulder. She was faster than him so he expected some quick retaliation but at least he could have fun.

HP : 19[ 0 dmg ] She swatted his hand away with a scowl, eyes narrowed in his direction. He wasn't supposed to be in such a good mood about having to fight against her. They did this often enough that it wasn't anything new and they would've had better odds of someone from their team making it to the top if one of them wouldn't be eliminated by this match. "At least try to act like you're not going to have fun with this, Lala. We could wind up with people watching -- we should at least give them a proper show."

HP: 20Lalande laughed softly as he put a bit of distance between them. "I'm going to have fun either way Cursa. If we can't enjoy our work what's the point!" She had a point though. It was quite likely that their entire team would show up to see how they fared. If they were play-fighting they would get an earful from their Generals and that wasn't something he wanted to deal with. "Sure you're ready birdy?" He knew she would be, they were trained to be ready for anything. He set his feet in the dirt of the arena, knowing she had the ability to knock him on his a**, and decided he should just go for it. Sometimes he wished he had more dramatic flair but it couldn't be helped. "Bone Crusher..." He smirked as he purred the words. Quote: Attack #1a - Bone Crusher[ Lalande calls out his attack and his target suddenly feels an immense and sharp pressure on one of their limbs as if the limb is trapped in the beak of a giant bird. The target will feel that if the pressure does not release their bones will soon be broken. HP : 13[ 5 dmg ] No amount of 'ready' could have prepared her for the almost instant agony that shot through her arm. It centralized itself around her elbow, the pressure firm and wrenching as everything compressed with the intensity of the magic. She could feel the point where the beak clamped down and wanted nothing more than to scream out that it was enough. She knew better. The pain was real but the rest was an elaborate ruse brought on by Lalande's magic. No matter how much she thought he might be edging dangerously close to breaking her arm she knew that would not be the case. She'd felt his magic before and she knew that the sensation would pass and if she could push through it... Holding the 'injured' arm close to her body as though that might somehow protect it or shorten the duration of Lalande's magic, Cursa let out a furious cry as she lashed out at him with a right hook, aiming right for his jaw.

HP: 15Lalande did hate using his magic on friends but the Generals had taught them that they had to do what was necessary. Everyone knew what his magic felt like and he knew what theirs did as well. It was easier that way, safer, meant they were better prepared for dealing with the White Moon bitches. He was still not quite always prepared for physical violence though and still wasn't fast enough on the draw when it came to that. Cursa's fist connected with his jaw and it was enough to rattle his brain and drop him to a knee while his head rang. <********>." He spit out, grabbing a handful of dirt and grave and throwing it in the direction of Cursa's face

HP : 11[ 4 dmg ] "Damnit, Lala, not my face," she whined as her arm came up to deflect the fist full of dirt, but not before enough of it had already made it past her attempt at a defense and into her eyes. She was going to add 'goggles' to the list of things that she needed to keep in her subspace pouch. Goggles or safety glasses or anything that might better prepare her for a dirty, fist full of dust. In response, Cursa kicked dirt back at him while rubbing at her face with the back of her glove as if that would do anything to help her see a little bit better. "Are we going to actually do this or are we just going to play around? I can't actually hit you while you're down there.... I refuse to have a repeat of my last match, rolling around in the dirt. Get up."

HP: 11"As if rolling around in the dirt is all that new for us." At least for him it wasn't anything new. He'd had to do it enough times dealing with Uvarovite and Pet and their training he was getting rather used to it. He didn't reall have it in him to attack her back as he pulled himself up and readjusted. He didn't really want to fight Cursa, knowing she had just the right abilities to floor him if she got a good hit in. "Come on then...." He settled himself back on his feet, waiting to see waht she would do.

HP : 11[ 2 dmg ] Cursa stepped forward, closing the distance between them to give Lalande's chest a shove. "If you're not going to attack me again we can turn this into a game of rock, paper, scissors -- best two out of three? Loser gets to clean the cages." The last bit was murmured softer than the rest, but she was no less serious about it. Neither of them really enjoyed lab duty when there were creatures in the cages. Their presence was infuriating to the lesser youma making them far more active when the two of them were present than at any other time. "Let's just get this over with, Lala. I'm bored with this. Attack me."

HP: 9"Sounds like it might be a better use of our time." He muttered to himself as he dusted off his uniform, glaring at her as she shoved him a bit. "If I break your nose that's your fault." He grabbed her arm, slight smirk on his lips, and called out his attack again before using his grip to spin her away from him. If he could at least get her disoriented then he had a better chance of her magic not working as well. Cursa hadn't ever been relly good at targeting it so the less she could tell where he was the better. HP : 6[ 3 dmg ]This time she anticipated the pain and while nothing could have prepared her for the sudden change of pressure that came along with his grip she could at least do a better job of focusing through it. Or she would have been able to had he not spun her away from him. Cursa was used to compensating for spins and twirls, but it was an entirely different beast when combined with near excrutiating pain. She teetered, losing her footing and stumbling back into Lalande and falling back at his feet, clearly disoriented.

HP: 6Lalande smirked, glad he at least did something but Cursa knocking into him unbalanced his footing enough that he had to shove her and stumbled back a few steps. His joints were starting to hurt from all the movement and getting knocked about a bit and it didn't seem like it was going to end well. He tried to brace himself but wasn't sure he was going to be able to well enough to actually handle another of her attacks if she tried.
