The tournament is taking place in the Castle in Negaspace, in a large room that has been designated towards the event. It is very spacious and there is a ring where the participants will fight, as well as seats around it for viewers. You are greeted by General Aurostibite and General Xenotime standing off to the side to monitor
The rules are simple: fight your opponent using whatever methods you have available to you - physical strength or magic - and whoever is left standing at the end is the winner! Aurostibite adds, in a tone of voice that doesn't quite indicate whether he's joking or not, to please try not to kill anyone.Quote: OOC RULES:
- Battles must be completed within 72 hours. If you are unable to do so, or something happens that prevents things or slows you down, you can just roll the dice without adding in RP to determine the outcome. However, please do your best to RP out the battle, this option is only for those situations where it becomes necessary to do so.
- Dice rolling is mandatory! I know it can be frustrating but this keeps everything fair and even.
- Anyone is free to pop into a battle RP, they are open to spectators, whether you are participating in the tournament or not! Any Negaverse agent or Corrupt or Corrupt Cat is free to view the battles, regardless of whether or not they were in signups.
- If you have any questions, please contact kuropeco or Beejoux through Discord or PM! Quote: THE MECHANICS
There will be 2d20 rolled in each intro post. The person with the higher number is the first to attack!
Lieutenant / Basics - 20 HP / 1d8-2 attack (a 0 is a miss) Captain / Super - 30 HP / 1d10-2 attack (a 0 is a miss) General / Eternal - 40 HP / 1d12-2 attack (a 0 is a miss)
( how it works: roll the dice - if you get a 4, subtract 2 = your attack is 2! and so on and so forth. If you get a 6, subtract 2 = your attack is 4! )
Roll dice -> RP out attack -> wait for opponent to attack back -> roll dice again until someone's HP is depleted first!
The person the higher HP at the end of the battle (or the one that does not reach 0) is the winner! Quote: DEFENSIVE / HEALING MAGIC
For healing magic: roll 1d4 (first stage), 1d6 (second stage), 1d8 (third stage); whatever number you roll is how much HP you gain back. This takes the place of your attack roll for your turn.
For defensive magic it must be rolled PRIOR to the next attack. Roll the same dice as above, and subtract that amount from the damage done by your opponent.
i.e. :
- Person A rolls a 6 instead of rolling for an attack - Person B attacks with 7 damage - Person A receives 1 damage (7-6) xSylent Nyte Tyrellite will be going first!

HP: 20/20 Attack: 5 This was probably a bad idea, the very very green Lieutenant couldn't help but think as she stepped into the ring. A gloved hand tightly held a small piece of carnelian before tucking the crystal into a pocket to keep her motivated and brave. How could she not participate when Xenotime was one of the people organizing the event? Yellow-green eyes stole a glance at her General, who was standing next to an equally impressive other General - Aurosomethingorother, she was told. But this was what she wanted - the ability to hold her own in a fight, to protect herself, to stop being a pushover. And if the Negaverse could give her that? Then in a tournament she shall fight. Tyrellite gave the much smaller girl a once-over before muttering "********' yolo," and getting right to it. Long legs moved her forward, her hands curling into fists and raising in front of her. Someone had to be the one to throw the first punch, it may as well have been her she figured as she swung at the other girl with a jab to the face.

HP: 15 DMG: 2 For one reason or another Agrellite hadn't expected the the other lieutenant to start so strongly. She seemed new, very new, and Aggy had assumed that might also mean new to any sort of fighting. Apparently not. A pale fist connected with Agrellite's cheek and she staggered back with a startled, pain filled yelp. Damn, that hurt! She rubbed at the point of impact with the heel of her palm, massaging the side of her jaw as she looked up at the pink haired girl she'd been paired with, and wondered briefly if her ******** flash cards would be useful in all this. Probably not. They never were. Her fingers curled as she dropped her hand again and she lunged forward, body turning to throw a punch of her own, but she didn't have the range the other girl had, and she knew her hit fell a little shirt. s**t.

With nothing better to do while he waited Natrolite decided to enjoy one of the fights. One particular fight in general caught his ear as the name was announced. Tyrellite, during the time catching up with his general the name had been mentioned along with a few other things. Grinning he headed for the newbie's fight. This was someone he ought to be familiar with so what better chance to get acquainted than now?
Sliding into a chair at the start of the fight, if you could call it that, he watched. Blue eyes focused as the two fighters started going hand to hand. He grinned a little as they fight picked up and rocked forward on his chair. A first blow delivered he wasted no time in jumping up like an embarrassing parent. Yelling out in the stereotypical that's my boy voice, "WOOO GET IT TYRELLITE MESS THA s**t UP!"
Grinning the Captain settled back into his seat happy to cheer the entire fight because this was his duty as a teammate right? Besides, it beat waiting around until his own fight started because gods only knew how long that would be. At any rate here he was to enjoy the show and be supportive to a new member of his team. The plastic folding chair was already a pain in his a** though so he didn't know how long he would be hanging around here.

HP: 18/20 Damage: 1 Tyrellite's eyes widened as if she was impressed with her own punch when the other girl yelped. Okay, this isn't so hard, she thought while also feeling a little bad that she actually hurt another human being. The guilt slipped away fairly quickly when the other Lieutenant threw herself at her, fists ready. For once, the coral-haired girl was glad to be so tall when the punch landed awkwardly. Grunting at the discomfort - she had never really been punched before - she summoned her belt from her waist to her hands. Not entirely sure what to do with it, she swung, hoping for the best. Unfortunately, a teammate was screaming in the stands and she turned to look at him as she was swinging, her aim completely thrown off. Pale cheeks flushed at the Captain's boisterous cheering, making a mental note to make sure she repayed the favor when it was his turn.

It was wonderful to see the team spirit between her agents. Those who weren't busy with their own matches making time to sit in on the others. It had her grinning widely as she slipped over to stand beside Natrolite in the strands, hip bumping into his side as she folded her arms across her chest.
"Don't be afraid of getting hurt," she called out to the pink haired woman she'd drawn into the Negaverse literal days ago. "Use the pain, channel it into retaliation!"

Captain ChrysopraseChrysie cheered as loudly and shrilly as she could from her spot near the front of the spectator stands. She lacked pompoms in uniform, but enthusiasm and a little bit of Negaverse ingenuity made up for that. What she held in her hands as she shook them in the air were two overly large chinchilla-like youma that she plucked up from an earlier Rift trip. Even now, they made offended squeaks at her for using them like this. But that's what youma were for, right? Basically whatever she needed them for at the moment. And at that moment, she needed pompoms.
The squeaking, put-upon youma continued their dog toy antics while Chrysie shouted one of her favorite cheers. "One! Two! Three! Four! Let me hear you hit the floor!" She stuck her tongue out at Tyrellite in case she hadn't figured out who that was for yet.
"Come ooooon, Agrellite! Show us your enthusiasm! Woooo!" Chrysoprase stomped her feet against the floor, one-two-one-two-one-two-one-two, until she was sure she got her point across. Now weren't these sorts of things so much better with a good rabble-rousing spectatorship to them? Chrysie thought so. But she wished Stellarite could've joined them to watch Agrellite in action.
She'd just have to cheer enough for the both of them, she decided. Agrellite had to win this one!

Well, that had been painful, for a split second there he thought that Tyrellite might actually be doing something. Turns out she half did it but still. On a chuckle, he called out, "Honey I know I'm handsome but you are in'ah fight, FOCUS GIRL." With a snort of amusement in that his distraction had worked on the wrong person, he shut up. It probably wouldn't make him friends with her if he kept shouting, at least not right now, maybe in a little bit if she shaped up. Besides he needed time to think of some good material.
Something caught his attention and the Captain looked towards it, noting a familiar form starting towards the stands. Uh-oh was he in trouble, he couldn't help but wonder. Suddenly the boss lady stood tall next to him turning on that charming intimidation. Natrolite took a moment then grinned and tipped his hat back in greeting, "boss." For a moment silent watching the area. This one was fairly new if he remembered right from the generals talk with him. It was strange to see someone in a position he had been in what felt like a million years ago, he had to wonder if they thought as he had. If they had any troubles adjusting.
On a tilt back of the head he finally looked directly up to the standing General and spoke softly for her to hear, "..what do you think about em so far?" He was making a point to be interested like she asked, trying to be more involved with the team.

HP: 14 DMG: 3 Agrellite wasn't exactly seasoned as an agent, but she had been around the block a time or two, been on a number of missions and seen her fair share of danger and crazy s**t. The girl she was currently facing off with seemed very, very new. Like, slap a 'Hellow my name is...' name tag on her, because this might have been the first fight she'd ever been a part of. That should have put things in Agrellite's favor. Should have. But that was assuming she kept her wits about her and didn't get overly cocky or start underestimating the other girl just because she seemed inexperienced. What she needed to do was take advantage of any openings, and shouts and cheers from the sidelines pulling Tyrellite's attention created the perfect opening. With a sudden flash of an excited smile the petite lieutenant darted in again. She planted her heel as she came in close, half turning and arm coming up so she could aim the point of her elbow directly at the taller woman's stomach before a flash of auburn hair and beautiful face in the stands demanded her attention. Color rushing to her cheeks, Agrellite flashed her bestie an almost shy grin before wrenching her attention back to the fight.

HP: 15 Damage: 5 Don't be afraid of getting hurt.Well, that was easier said than done for a girl that had never been in a fight before, let alone against a fellow super-powered person in a ring. "Retaliation, right," she repeated to herself as she glanced over her shoulder at the other officer that was clearly cheering for her opponent with... What the ever-loving ******** was she using for pompoms!? She made a face at the other girl's cheer. FOCUS. Yes, yes. There was so much going on--- the thought was cut short when a elbow hit her in the stomach. With a wince, and a hiss between clenched teeth, Tyrellite pulled her attention back to the fight, to her opponent. Using Agrellite's close proximity to her advantage, Tyr grabbed a fistful of the other girl's fuzzy jacket to tug her downward and put her strength into her right knee going into Aggie's gut.
