Shelby bounced her foot, deep in thought to herself with a cup of coffee between her paws. She had invited her friend Aiyana to join her for a quick chat at the cafe as they often did, but today for whatever reason she had not gotten much further past their usual hellos.
"Aiyana," the Grimm finally asked after a long while, tipping her head to the side. Her plump lips fell a bit open, looking a bit like a dead Skyfish for a moment. "I want a pack," she admitted sharply, dropping the words with all the heaviness she could muster. "How... do I catch a mate so I can have some pups?"
Her seafoam colored eyes flipped to her friend, staring down Aiyana with a harsh intensity. They were both apart of the early bloodlines in Below but yet... she most definitely assumed her friend would have all the answers for her. Aiyana had a big family at least. She had to know what having a pack was like. Shelby never knew that, having popped out on her own.

Aiyana met up with her best friend, much as she always did. However, this time Shelby seemed a but off. She wondered if something happened which concerned her. Her fur fluffed a bit as her friend said her name, bringing her back into the conversation. "A pack?" She mumbled, repeating as if not computing. "Oh... Uh. I'm not sure I'm the one to ask .. I mean... I don't have a mate either." She mentioned, sheepishly rubbing her neck.
"I bet if you just be yourself... You'll catch a good match for you. You're smart, pretty and very kind... Who wouldn't like that?" Aiyana assured Shelby. "As for pups... If you want them that bad... I could always imbue with you and be their aunty Ai!" She offered with a grin.

Shelby reached out across the table, putting her paws on top of the others. "Yeah, but you have family for a pack!" the brunette pointed out with a smile. "That's close enough. I've never had family, at least I think."
Her tail swished from side to side behind her, knocking against the chair. "I always make such a fool of myself," the girl lamented with a sigh. Her ears suddenly perked up though as Aiyana said the key words. There was clear delight behind her eyes, but Shelby was ever obligated to be polite. "You would? That's a really big commitment, I don't want to make things weird for your future pack or anything!"

Aiyana laughed a bit, "You can be a bit of a spaz but... You are wrong about not having a family or a pack." She told her, placing her hand on Shelby's. "You are my best friend... My sister's love you... I love you. I've always considered you as part of our pack." She explained, smiling brightly. "So if you want to make our pack bigger by having pups then I am one hundred percent excited and honored to help." Aiyana looked to her friend, "The real question is... How many stones are we getting?" Her tail swished excitedly at the thought.

"Aw, you big stuffed animal," Shelby teased in good nature, her ears perky and her face rather happy. "Okay then, it's settled!" The Grimm's tail continued to thwack about under the table.
"I don't know a whole lot about imbuing... let's try one to see, and if it's easy we can do another in the same go. Maybe we can swap and with one I can be the Auntie!" Shelby babbled happily. "Explain to me how we do this!"
