Though she always carried her drum, Verona played many different instruments and enjoyed giving shows whenever possible. But today was different. Today she was teaching. A friend of hers had called her to substitute for a sick teacher at her school and now she was standing in front of a classroom of about ten freshlings.

"Uh, hi, I'm Verona," she said, fidgeting with the little drum she carried. "Your regular teacher is sick today so they called me to fill in. Do you guys want to pick an instrument? I can come around and show you guys how to play them." She relaxed when the kids seemed enthusiastic about that, so she let the kids pick an instrument and spent a few minutes telling each of them the general idea of how to play their chosen instruments. Once everyone had gotten the hang of it, she let them make as much noise as they wanted to.

It wasn't until parents started coming to pick up their kids that Verona started feeling like she might want one of her own. A blush colored her cheeks and she smiled, thinking about having a kid or two with the love of her life. She was so lucky to have found Eirlys.

The more she watched how excited the little ones were to tell their parents everything they had done and learned about their instruments the more she wanted to go home and talk to Eirlys about having some of their own.
