Jared sighed as he finished cleaning up dishes they had messed up by eating lunch on them. And by "they" he meant himself and Katie. It had been a bit fast, but after some time and a few more dates they had decided to move in together. And it had finally been around a year, a bit after their first date anniversary, and Jared wanted to have the... talk with her.

And so, after finishing up and cleaning his hands, he wandered into the living room where Katie was sitting and sat down on the couch next to her, giving her a smile. He wasn't sure how to start this conversation, and he was incredibly nervous doing so, but he wanted to do it. "Katie... I know it's only been a short time but uh..." He made sure to give himself a pause to compose himself before he spoke again so he wouldn't stutter. #edbfc0"Have you ever thought about having... kids?" There, it was out in the open now.

Jared could feel a blush slowly covering his entire face. He should have known he needed to be more direct. He caught himself though and managed to reply. "Well uh it's just that I..." really, this was going to sound completely awful and strange and she would probably just kick him out immediately which he would totally understand-

"I was wondering if you wanted to have a couple of kids together with... me." And now was the time. He would soon feel a knife in his chest, whether a metaphorical one or a real one for suggesting such a thing but he just couldn't help it! He really wanted to take this next step with her, though he knew it was quite fast.

He nodded his head a few times, unable to look at her face, and missing her blush entirely. "Y-yeah. I would want to have kids with you. I mean I DO want kids with you. I know that it's only been a short time, but I mean... I do want kids, and I think we would make great parents."

He moved to put his head in his hands out of embarrassment. "But it's totally okay if you don't want them!" He said, holding a hand out. "Or if you don't want them now or whatever! I just... wanted to try." He wanted to crawl under a rock now. Did they have holes under rocks that were big enough? Did they have internet?

He looked up from between his fingers in his hand-covered face and looked at her, before finally sitting back up, the blush still as strong as it was before. "W-well yeah. I mean, I think we could both do it." His blush somehow became even darker when she said that they could try. "R-really!" He took her hand in both of his. "I know this is a really, REALLY big step, and I certainly don't want to pressure you into doing it if you don't want to. But if you truly do, then I would love to do it with you. And then we can look at stones to imbue if you want or we could take a bit more time." He truly meant it. He really didn't want to make her feel as though they had to have kids, whether it was right now or never.

Jared felt his blush lighten up significantly, though he still felt a bit hot. "Right. Thank you Katie. And don't be afraid to tell me you want to stop too. Thank you though for hearing me out and being okay with it." He said, just happy that she was willing to agree. He quickly went to kiss her forehead to give her some reassurance. If she had any objections, even just a noise of nervousness, he would stop immediately. He may have wanted children, but he would in no way ever try to guilt someone else into it.
