Crocus had been interrupted the other night as he was trying to gather energy for his court. He really had very poor luck these days. He had been avoiding powering up after what happened in the park and then on his first night out. Bam. A Squire wanted to pick a fight with him. She hadn't even bothered trying to get any information from him, talk to him, or anything. Just an outright rage thrown at him for being what he was. It wasn't like he hurt people, at least not to the brink of death, or anything.

sadly, he avoided going to his usual patrolling spot. In the event that she would skulk around there, hoping he'd return so she could finish off what she had started. He was by the lake this time. It was the weekend and classes would be wrapping up soon. Which meant end of year parties down by the lake. Lots of college kids getting wasted that he could siphon bits of energy from while staying safely hidden within the trees.

At least this time he was more aware of the pings of order around him. He had just drained enough energy to call it a night when he felt another Senshi nearby. It was too close for him to shift back to his civilian form and blend in. Maybe they wouldn't just outright attack him, but either way he tried to head in the opposite direction of it. Away from the lake and further into the trees. He knew where mirrors were hidden, but there wasn't one particularly close to this part of town.

"Sometimes I wonder how I ended up in this mess." He mumbled to himself as he made his way through the trees. It seemed like he was being followed. How annoying.

Gelria was seeking chaos once again. He had taken a somewhat extended break from really hunting down the enemies that were involved in this war, but now that he was engaged, and now that things with Benji were set on a much more solid path, he was all for it again.

Hopefully, there would be blood tonight.

As Gelria carefully made his way after the chaotic aura, he had to smile. The fool was helping him out by going somewhere where there were considerably less people. If he hadn’t done that…well. The senshi of cinnamon most likely wouldn’t have caused a scene.

But now that his prey had escaped into the woods…well.

He hurried after and when he spotted the senshi ahead of him, he snorted softly. What a lot of useless whispy yellow fabric. Quietly he sped up as much as he could and reached out, grabbing a handful of it in his fist. “Oh, so that’s what it’s good for, I see now.”

His voice was cold and mocking and he hoped the male would turn, as he threw a punch for the back of his head. It would be even better if it were to collide with his face instead.

It didn't seem like he was going to get away that easily tonight. He was maybe hoping that if he stopped gathering energy and just left the area the Order aura would just leave him be. In his time in the Court, he found that a lot of Order members were iffy about the DMC, enough that they either wanted to talk a bit or just leave them be. Did they have other things to worry about? Well, things had changed a bit after Altea had tried to swallow up everyone in the city.

Admittedly he wasn't running away as quickly as he could have. He wasn't familiar with this area, he was patrolling somewhere else to avoid being predictable. That wasn't saving him from the headache that was about to happen tonight. He sensed a little late that they must have picked up their speed.

So they weren't just out to run him off either. Whoever it was, they were making it obvious they were out for a fight. He was yanked back suddenly. That stupid overlay, he knew it would get in his way sooner or later. It already had a bit of getting snagged on things. At least he had enough brains to not fall for the other Senshi's taunt. Instead he ducked down to avoid an attack he thought might be coming his way.

"You must think yourself a clever boy. How about we just call it a night? Hm, isn't it past your bedtime?" He was lower then his opponent now, so he swung his free arm back, hoping to catch something with his elbow. At the very least, maybe whoever it was would let go of his uniform. He wasn't much of a fighter. He could dodge a thing or two, but wasn't great at attacking back.

He missed. Gelria felt a flood of anger filling him as he coldly looked at the black clad senshi. Well. Call it a night? What kind of a fool did this creep take him for? “Past my bedtime? Oh, what, are you tired? Because I’d be glad to call it a night so long as you go to sleep and don’t wake up again. I don’t take kindly to people who wear black.”

His voice was an angry hiss and he held his hand out. “Cinnamon Storm.”

He wouldn’t be kind. Not anymore. He wanted to make sure that this was taken care of. He couldn’t allow for mistakes. Couldn’t let this chaotic a*****e live.

“If you just make it easy,” Gelria said softly, voice almost edging towards something sweet. “I’ll make sure it doesn’t hurt for long.” If he could just get his hands around this guy’s neck. If he could just squeeze long enough…that combined with his magic should be more than enough…should do the trick nicely.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Cinnamon Storm
Gelria holds out his hand and a puff of ground cinnamon comes out Visual. The cinnamon causes irritation to the eyes, nose and throat. The puff of cinnamon can reach out up to a radius of eight feet, and affects everyone in the area except Gelria himself. The attack can be used twice per battle, and the cinnamon puff lasts for twenty five seconds before dissipating.

A wave of panic rushed through him at the Senshi's words. If it wasn't obvious before, it was very obvious now that he was going for the kill tonight. The knight he had fought before, he had been able to reason with. They had more hate for the Negaverse than they did for the Dark Mirror court. His court didn't harm people the way they did. Sure, they took some energy here and there, but he had never once killed or left anyone dangerously drained before. They were just trying to create a refuge for those caught up in a war they had nothing to do with.

At least his elbow connected and he could move his arm freely again. He didn't turn around to actually see who was attacking him. He needed to get away, he had little doubt this person could kill him if he gave them the chance. That didn't spare him from his magic though. The cinnamon dust swirled around him and caused him to cough and his eyes watered. Cinnamon. Even without turning around Crocus knew who he was up against. Someone that had very, nearly killed Kiuchi before.

The cloud of cinnamon around him made it very hard to see where he was going. He had his hands out in front of him and that was the only reason he noticed he was walking smack into a tree. Stupid forest, he shouldn't have run this way. How much further until he hit a road or something?

"Saffron Starving Call." Crocus managed to gasp out the name of his magic, hoping it might buy him some time, though at the cost of having to breathe in more of the cinnamon around him. It was so irritating.

There was suddenly a strange, wonderful smell in the air, and Gelria paused, sniffing. Was this his magic? What a lame excuse for magic…smelling like some wonderful…food stall…

He sniffed the air again and his eyes flickered around, wondering if this was just some sort of strange trick of his mind and there wasn’t actually anything there…or…maybe there was someone cooking something and just watching them fight…

The senshi felt almost muddled, and more than a little confused, though shook his own head, trying to clear it of his thoughts, and clear his nose of the smell and just get back to business. His hands were itching to be around the pale throat of his enemy, wonderful smell or not. “…I don’t know what you’re trying to pull,” He muttered, shaking his head again and then glancing back up to where Crocus had been. “But…I’m not…falling for it.”

Yeah so, Crocus' magic wasn't exactly something to be proud of, but it was an effective enough distraction. One couldn't help the thoughts that different through their mind because of the sweet scent. Maybe if he started carrying cookies with him, he could throw them at an opponent for an extra bit of distraction.

At least he had finally made it out of the cinnamon cloud, though his eyes still stung and his throat felt very dry. he thought about using a wraith or calling for help, but without a voice he couldn't command a wraith or get a message to anyone. He heard the other Senshi's comment from a distance, and he only muttered to himself in return.

"Just trying not to die tonight..." He was recently engaged himself and the idea of not making it back to Nischal was heart-breaking. It had only been a week and here he was running for his life. Which, the cinnamon in his lungs was not making it easy for him to catch his breath as he did just that. He had to slow own and try to clear his sinuses out, fully aware of the order signature still out there.

What could he do? Talking was out of the question. He had to get away somehow, but running hurt and he was definitely wheezing now. Any moment Cinnamon-boy would be fine and after him again. Crocus braced himself, he'd bee to kick-boxing classes with his friend before. She taught him how to throw a punch in middle school when that nasty bully had started to target him. There was no reason he shouldn't be able to think of some way out of this.

“Well, that’s a stupid wish, you know.” Gelria murmured, still trying to get his head clear from whatever magic the senshi had used. “It would be easier on both of us if you’d just shut up, and kindly let me kill you, that way we wouldn’t have to keep doing this stupid dance.”
He worked hard to clear his head and finally looked back at Crocus. “Well. Let’s just go ahead and finish this.

Reaching up, the senshi made to grab a hold of Crocus, anything. He wanted to get his fingers around that pretty little neck. “I do promise, if you stop fighting, I’ll make it quick.” It was all he wanted to promise. All that he could promise. All he wanted to do was see an end to all of those who wore black, and if he could just finish one of them…it would be so much better for everyone.

Mostly for himself, but. Everyone would benefit.

Chaos was a canker, and there was no cure but death.

Crocus had to pause to cough up some of the cinnamon in his lungs. That was apparently all the time cinnamon boy needed to catch up to him. He spun around, figuring it would be better to face his attacker, rather than be grabbed from behind again. At least this way he stood a fighting chance. He swatted the hand away that came at him, remembering in the moment some of that self-defense that he'd been taught.

"The world isn't as black and white as you think it is." He had never killed anyway, in fact he had even saved people as a Dark Mirror Senshi. Yes, he was guilty of stealing a little bit of energy here and there, but that energy came back in time. After a good rest or some food.

“Black and white? I think that’s a pretty great way to describe things, don’t you? After all, you’re in the black, and I’m in the white so. Obviously you’re on the wrong side of everything. And it’s up to me to stop all of you.” He watched the male and gave what almost passed for a smile, though his eyes and expression were cold enough to freeze the blood.

“If you’re so far gone that you can’t even see that…it’s sad. I can’t understand it. Why would you ever align yourself to the darkness?”

He seemed surprised at the spark of fight that still resided in the Dark Mirror senshi, surprised and more than a little annoyed. “I don’t understand why you’re bothering. Just let me end this.”
