It was with a sleepy rumble in her chest that Meera made her way through the steep terrain in front of her, brain still a little bit fuzzy from her nap. She wasn't really sure where she was now, but it sure was... empty. Maybe it was a more abandoned section of the rogue lands? She had no way of knowing that she'd wandered into a pridal area, let alone one that was on edge from the supernatural activities going on, but then, that probably wouldn't have stopped her regardless. She might have been a little more cautious, but she always loved visiting new places.

Giving herself a shake, the cheeton paused to look around her again. She was kind of thirsty too, but she couldn't see any water around her. Oh well, she could last a little while without drinking.

She turned her attention back to her path and, with a little wiggle of her behind, hopped forward and slid a bit more down the slope.

The lions who had elected to dedicate their lives to the safety of the N'ezi's borders had been doing quite well as of late. Despite their reservations about outsiders it seemed that they weren't being as hostile as Itiri had initially feared. After all, there were those who were traditionalists and had had genuine reservations about allowing any outsider to expose the pride to the dangers that had befallen them before...

Credit where it was due though, each of those guards had demonstrated a hospitality worthy of more than just his respect. Quite frankly, they had his gratitude as they could make or break the N'ezi if they really wanted.

Nevertheless on this occasion the peculiar feline had caught his attention first; he considered this pot luck and had no doubt that others would have sighted her soon after but for now he had the opportunity to investigate their new visitor personally.

...That might have sounded more menacing than it actually was but he was really quite harmless and for the most part he was genuinely curious as to what she might be. Having only crossed paths with lions up until this point he was rather curious to find out what she was.

Fortunately it wasn't long before he was within her sights, though at a lower altitude than she as she continued her descent. He'd opted to wait at the bottom on this occasion as it would do him no favours to spook her and have her come tumbling down in a heap. Harming someone's dignity was one thing, causing them significant physical damage was a touch more serious.

She hadn't noticed him upon reaching the bottom - at least, she hadn't noticed him at first. The cheeton was a little distracted by her thoughts of 'this is actually really fun, I should try doing this when I'm more awake'.

Of course, once that thought had passed, she looked up to see which direction she wanted to go and finally noticed the lion waiting for her to finish her decent. Oh yay, a new person! Hopefully a friendly person too; sometimes lions weren't the nicest. Trotting closer, she let out a greeting, "Hello!" Meera's head tilted as she noticed his necklace. The green was pretty, though she wasn't entirely certain why he was wearing what looked like... bones?

Then again, she'd seen lions wearing skulls before. This was kind of an upgrade from that.
