Basic Information

The weapon is designed to function as a light-weight PDW, using a lightweight low recoil round with roughly the same recoil and weight as a pistol round, but the ability to get out to further ranges of most submachine guns, have more stopping power, and pierce armor. The weapon is only 5.2 pounds and 20 inches long, roughly comparable to a P90, but fires the 5.56mm x 45mm NATO cartridge, which is approximately 3 times more powerful, with a higher velocity, heavier bullet. This is achieved by using a relativity light bullpup variant of the M1 carbine gas tappet system, which had extremely low recoil and was very lightweight. Using a 13.5 inch long barrel and the enhanced M855A1 round which achieves a higher velocity from a shorter barrel using faster burning gunpowder, the weapon is capable of producing energy levels roughly on par with an M4 carbine, but is much smaller, being just 20.5 inches long. The combination of the bullpup design and short gas operated system has allowed the weapon to be unusually lightweight rand small, and the inherently low recoil of the cartridge makes it controllable under rapid fire, with the felt recoil roughly on par with a .45 ACP. The weapon also makes use of a muzzlebreak, recoil buffer and rear-heavy design which reduces the felt recoil less and makes the weapon more controllable.
