[ 🌕 Back-log to Sunday, August 26th, 2018 ] Connie walked along the sidewalks of Destiny City with a bit of speed from the anxiety building up inside as she walked ever closer to the house of Danielle Bones. She wished she wasn’t. She currently wished she was a snail, if she was honest with herself. Connie had went from ignoring to avoiding the poor young girl. After losing her long hair that she had been growing since she was a child, she had went into a bit of a depressive and rebellious phase, not reaching out to many people. Now that she was slowly coming down from that and trying to get back to a normal life Connie felt regret and sadness that she had cut off the other girl. Knowing that they looked to each other a bit like sisters, or at least that’s how Connie felt, she knew it was most likely heart breaking to the girl.
She had even already changed the date from Saturday to Sunday at a later time in case it ended up being too much and she needed to bail suddenly. Connie slowly came to a stop and rubbed her hand across her face, letting out a groan. She was here.
Connie looked towards the Bones’ place, biting her lip a bit. The hot August sun seemed to be trying to beat her, she swore. Sighing, she pulled out her phone to text Dani but stopped, pausing a bit before shaking her head. “Now or never..” She said, mostly trying to push herself but also thinking of just ghosting her whole civilian life at this point.
Connie ran up to the door and gave it a knock, hoping that someone inside would hear it and answer before she decided to just run off.

Dani heard the knock of the door, that she had been for waiting for, for so long. She missed Connie so much. She ran to the door and threw it open. "Connie! I've missed you so much!" She grinned at her friend. She gave her friend a hug. "You've cut your hair! It looks okay. Where have you been? Never mind don't answer that. I'm just glad you're back. Come in, come in" She let her friend in. "If I remember correctly, you like latte's right? I made you one. I hope you like it. It's in the kitchen."

Connie was looking around and fiddling with her thumbs as she awkwardly waited, counting the seconds as she waited to run. But her attention was gathered as she heard Dani's foot steps as she ran for the door. When it flung open, it felt like a cage dropping around her. Though Dani's hug brought a welcomed warmth that she was more than happy to return. She was sure to listen to ever word, though there was a awkward chuckle to follow. "Y-Yeah, it's a big change huh?" Connie smiled half-heartily and followed Dani in. Though was able to give a real smile when Dani brought up the latte, surprised that she remembered or would even go through all that trouble. "Oh! Yes, thank you! I bet it'll taste great." "So how have you been?" Connie asked, hoping to bring on a light subject to talk about, though she quickly realized the back fire if Dani asked it in return. Hopefully the coffee wouldn't make her anxiety worse either.

Dani hadn't been sitting on her hands, when her friend disappeared from her life. Sure, she had let her have some time to herself, but she'd asked about her, her other friends, her family, her parents. She'd learned of the depression and anxiety. Which was one reason the Latte was decaf. She brought it out to her friend, calmly answering her questions, that she was now in middle school, and doing well. She missed a lot of her friends, for many of them had disappeared from her life. She handed the latte to Connie and let her answer the question.

Connie took the latte gently, frowning as Dani filled her in. At least middle school was interesting right? Though it was not a good time for herself either she remembered. She wanted so badly the tell Dani everything but knew even if she could tell her about her job as a Senshi, that it wouldn't be a good idea and that it was nothing Dani should worry herself with. Her hand going up to her hair again. "I um, honestly this was..done against my will." Connie said her words slowly, unsure were she would even be going with this. "Someone was jealous of it, but.." She shook her head, trying to claim herself. "It's ok though. I'm getting better and I don't want to hide from my friends anymore. I'm sorry you had to deal with all of that by yourself.." Sailor Hawk Hope this old replies' ok too. crying No pressure tho!

Dani stayed quiet. Her friend was keeping from her, there was something she didn't want to tell Dani. Something that hurt. Dani guessed it was only right, there was something she hid from Connie. She smiled a wan smile. "You know right, that if you ever need to talk, that you can come talk to me, right?"

"I know, thank you.." Connie smiled softly, looking down at her drink before finally taking a nice sip and letting the warm feel her up. She found it funny how a simple hot drink could remind her of transforming and the warm she figured overtook them all during the process. Thinking of the pen she held in her jacket pocket. "I know I haven't been here long compared to others but I really want to protect this city.." Connie slipping, almost pouting into her drink. "Is that a stupid goal?"

Protect? Could Connie be a Senshi or Knight, or perhaps something else protecting the city. Thinking of the pen in her pocket, she knew she needed to be careful, but at the same time, Connie was her friend. "No, it's not." She replied softly with a tone in her voice, that she didn't mean to be there, but clearly said she had experience in this matter.

Connie looked at Dani sadly, hearing her pinged a feeling in her heart. She sighed, putting her head on the table with a little thud. Am I crazy? she thought, "I just want to be stronger." She sighed.

Leaena averted her eyes. "I have a slightly different problem. I know I can fight, I know I can make a difference. But others say I'm too young and I get relegated to back up and triage...." Leaena's eyes went wide... had she just said that? She was dangerously close to spilling the beans....

Connie gave a thoughtful nod, unable to keep herself from smirking slightly. "Yeah, I was told the same when I first moved here.." She shivered but shrugged it off. "Just gotta keep at it so you can prove them right, right?"

Leaena gave her a thoughtful look. "What are we talking about again? Who are we proving right about what?"

Connie sat back up, looking from Dani and then back into her coffee. "For her right..?" She whispered before realizing what she said and cutting herself off, brows crinkling before she continue, "No- I mean, for us. I guess." "Better to self reflect than to let others cast doubt, right?" She smiled, before adding. "If we want to be stronger, then we just need to get there."

Dani just looked at her friend for a moment. They had both said too much tonight. "You're right. Strong for ourselves." Dani said listlessly. They were both keeping secrets from each other. Dani didn't like it. But she couldn't help it.

Connie drank the rest of her coffee and stretched a bit, deciding to bring up a lighter topic. She didn't like seeing Dani like this, feeling like she was projecting her own troubles on the girl. "How about we go to the movies tomorrow?" Connie suggested with a smile.
