Tsubasa was one to always find trouble. This more or less due to the fact that's what he was paid to do. 'Go find my treasure, Tsubasa.' 'Go fetch my lost family heirloom, Tsubasa.' 'Venture into this ancient tomb and bring me that lost tablet, Tsubasa!' he mocked as a gust of wind whipped through his hair. He angled downward, hoping to fly under the gale and conserve his energy versus fighting with nature. Today he was performing his most recent contract at Mobius' neutral grounds, Neutrum Pax. He wondered how legal the job was when taking it, but when was a mercenary's work always law-abiding?

Glancing down as he passed over an open-field, one brilliant flower stood out amongst the others. The sight startled him, but it didn't surprise him that she would be where the ruling monarchs were gathering to discuss trade among the kingdoms. Dipping toward the ground, he prepared for a cool landing in front of the beautiful flower. As if to spite him, though, the wind picked up, pushing him into descent faster than he anticipated. Plan A flying out the window, Tsubasa more or less performed a "tuck and roll" landing. He rolled to a stop a short ways from the Elven Princess. The tall wildflowers hid him quite well, he believed, and he debated laying there and pretending he'd never heard of flying before.

Tsubasa heard the princess laugh. He'd been caught, but no matter. He sat up and flashed a grin to Hana. "Seems I can't help but fall for you, Princess," he joked with a chuckle. Rising to his feet, he approached the princess, plucking a flower that was caught between his wing feathers. "For you, my dear." He offered her the flower before taking a seat in the grass beside her.

'I know why you're here,' he almost said, but held his tongue to keep from alarming the princess and blowing his own mission. "So what sort of 'princess thing' is this sweet flower doing today?" Tsubasa had a charming smile on his lips as he admired the princess' profile. Her long lashes and the way her hands mindlessly played with her braid were especially alluring to the beastman.

Tsubasa smiled sweetly to Hana. He loved seeing her shy side, the pink tinting her cheeks complimenting her purple hair. "The only sunset I see is in your eyes," the beastman started, realizing the princess's usually green eyes were in fact reflecting a beautiful orange light. Tsubasa blinked and looked to the west where sure enough the brilliant sun was melting into the green horizon. Slowly, the cogs clicked into place in his brain. Not only was the princess to be late for the meeting, Tsubasa was going to miss part of the information he was specifically tasked to acquire. He panicked for a moment, but held his composure. "Oh, how about I escort you, princess? It's not safe to walk alone in this hour, especially on peaceful grounds where anyone can roam." He stood and offered his gloved hand to her.

"And I will meet you anywhere and anytime you wish, my flower."

Tsubasa watched Hana in awe. Each passing day, he grew more amazed by her ability. He almost envied the Elves and their natural attunement to the magicks of the world. He himself hadn't had the means to learn nor the will.

He was surprised when she pressed the apple to his lips, but happily accepted it and took a bite. "Sweet," he commented with a charming grin, lacing his fingers between hers.
