✭✭✭ It had been a couple of days since the attack on both the castle and the nearby village and things were as hectic as ever. Talk of war was everywhere, but there had been so official declaration that Mari had heard of yet. As cold as it may seem, Mari really wasn't that concerned about war. She was just glad that her brother was safe.
When she returned she made it a point to find him. He was in the kitchen, cooking as if nothing had happened. She pulled him aside and questioned him as if it was an interrogation which got on his nerves, but he understood Mari's concerns. Khal had admitted to helping the Lunar Guard Mahanon kill a demon. He didn't use any magic but he did show off his physical strength which he wasn't supposed to do in order to maintain their cover. Honestly, Mari wasn't worried about being caught. She rather bother her and her brother be thrown in prison for their lies to the royal family than have him die from keeping their secret. Preferably, neither situation would come to pass, and to make sure of it Mari planned to talk to Mahanon later. She wanted to be sure that he wasn't going to mention her brother's skills to anyone ever.
Now as morning arrived, and all the other Lunar Guardians headed off to bed, Mari found herself unable to rest. She was mad at herself for not being present when the demon attacked and was full of worry for her brother's future. She had been unable to find Mahanon the past few days and could only hope that where ever he was he was keeping quiet. "He seemed like a nice guy... But I will do what I must to protect my family..." Mari whispered to herself as her mind went to a dark place. She wondered if it came to it if she would kill one of the other Lunar Guardians in order to keep her brother safe? The scary truth is, yes. And the fact that the answer came to her so quickly made it all the more frightening. ✭✭✭ ═━┈┈┈━═ ✭Mari's Love Interests: No one specific

Things around the castle have been a little chaotic these passed couple of days, Maya only hoped nothing major would occur, too many lives could be at stake, and that was enough to keep her from sleeping for days. All she could do was become worried more and more each growing day, hour passing, it was a little stressful on her mind. Maya had walked through much of the castle grounds, checking every aspect to make sure it was all nice and safe. She also had a tendency to check on everyone's wellbeings. Yawning, she tiredly turned one corner, slowly noticing Kamari whispering something, though she didn't hear what. With a friendly smile and a wave, she would greet her. "Hey Mari, you're up late. Has everything been okay with you on your end?" She asked, checking on the girl. Last time she saw her, she did seem awfully worried, and she just worried for her all the same.

✭✭✭ Turning her head upon hearing a voice, Mari found the girl that she had met a few days prior standing before her. "Oh, Maya, are you on duty?" Mari asked as she turned to fully face the girl. "And I'm fine, just a little disappointed that I missed all the fun a few days ago. Luckily my brother turned out completely fine. Got his @ss saved by a fellow Lunar Knight," Mari said, completely lying about what really went down. "Seems like tensions keep rising between us and the demon kingdom though, so I'm sure I'll be seeing more action soon enough," Mari said with a confident grin. "Until then I'll have to make my own fun. What about you? How have things been with the Emerald Knights since the attack? Maya shook her head sideways, indicating she wasn't on duty at the moment, just wandering until she was needed since it was fairly quiet for the time being. "Nah, I'm just checking up on everyone after these few crazy days." She listened to Mari explain she was fine, she was glad to hear that. Days ago, she had thought something terrible had happened to her, and couldn't help but worry until she got answers. "I'm glad to hear he's alright! At this rate, a war could breach at any moment." She said with a heavy sigh, this wasn't something she exactly predicted, and not certainly something she ever thought would get this far. She'd smirk though as Kamari stated having her own fun, she was truly a fascinating individual. However, her smirk dissipated as she questioned how she was after everything that went down. "Yeah, sadly few soldiers were lost in the attack. All we can do is keep moving forward. Other than that, it's been alright. But whomever killed those knights ever tries to show themself, I'd be damned to let them live any longer." Maya spoke, wanting to end their very existence for the slaughter of her knight kin. A subject she didn't take very lightly. None the less, she continued to smile. "So, what's your brother like?" She would ask out of curiosity and nothing more.

✭✭✭ By the way Maya spoke of the attack on the knights Mari could tell that she was fiercely loyal, a trait that was both admirable but could be restrictive. Having once been loyal to the wrong kind of people Mari knew that the price of loyalty could be high, however, Maya seemed to have a good head on her shoulders. She just couldn't help but wonder if perhaps she shouldn't allow herself to get to close to Maya considering that Mari didn't feel the same way about this kingdom. She was here for protection from her family, that was it. It is true that since her arrival she has grown to like many things around here, but she'd leave them all behind if it was necessary to keep her and her brother safe.
"Trust me, I'd be right there with you fighting if another demon like that dared to show its face around here," Mari replied with a confident grin as she leaned against the cool marble wall. From a nearby window a slight breeze came through, blowing Mari's long, silky hair to the side. When the wind faded Mari simply brushed a strand of her hair that had fallen out of place back with a gentle touch. She figured maybe later she'd go outside and put in some extra training hours. As strange as it sounds, training was kind of relaxing for her.
Then Maya decided to ask Mari about her brother which made one of Mari's brows rise up as she gave her an amused look. "My brother? Why so curious. You want the wonderful me to play matchmaker?" she said as she wriggled her eyebrow in an insinuating manner. Mari then quickly laughed her own joking question off and said, "I'm kidding, I'm kidding! Although I do think it would be good for my brother to start playing the field. He's such a shy guy at times. So let's see... What can I tell you about him?" Mari when silent for a few moments as she pondered the best way to sum her brother up. "Well, he's my little brother, but he's also my best friend. He understands me like no one else ever has. He's patient, a good listener, caring, and kind. Dare I say he can be all those things to a fault at times. He always puts everyone else before him which makes me worry about how he's doing. He's the kind of guy who likes to suffer in silence you know? But luckily I can usually see right through him. Can't hide anything from a big sister's eye can you?" Mari said with a small laugh before asking Maya a similar question. "And I believe you mentioned having a sister right? Is she cute?" Mari asked, once again teasing Maya. "DOn't answer that. If she's your sister I know she has to be cute. But what is she like? Does she also work in the castle?" ✭✭✭ ═━┈┈┈━═ ✭Mari's Love Interests: No one specific

The anger in her tone had been clear for a few seconds, these knights were her family, her kin, it was like one big giant happy family. And no one should get in between her family like that, unless they had a death wish. Maya would simply find herself smiling upon Mari agreeing with her words, that spoke truly about her and made her out to be so genuine. "You're a good person Mari! Don't ever change." She said genuinely, taking a moment to cast a glance outside the window, it certainly was quite a nice day. Maybe things would continue to stay at peace, at least for a little while.
Kamari had gotten the wrong idea about her questions on her brother, pushing her hands out forward and shaking off the very thought. Of course, Maya's cheeks had turned bright red before she had stated she was just kidding, joining in with her laugh but it was more of an awkward one. "Shy? Soo, opposite of you." Maya said teasingly right back, he sounded like a good person though! Just the same as Mari. Loyalty was quite hard to come by these days, but to have them among you truly felt nice. She would listen quietly as Mari told her about her brother, all the while a smile was forming across her lips. The way she spoke of him, it was very sweet. She could tell he was everything to her, maybe even the world. Just as her sister was to her. "He sounds amazing! I hope one day, I could get the chance to meet him. I agree with you! Big sisters see all." She spoke with a light hearted laugh, before Mari asked about her sister as well, though she was already on to her cute joke, continuing to laugh but silencing herself to explain. "She doesn't work in the castle no, and probably will never. I'm the oldest sibling. She's the type to hate fighting, and just she's always avoiding it. She's sweet, and takes others words and feelings into account. She can be a little prankster, but will stop if it's really irritating someone. She can get a little crazy though, being a little hyper jumping bean. And sometimes, she's hard to control like that. Even for me. She likes to call herself the animal protector, she's always wanted a job like this but looking after animals in place of. Maybe you two can meet one day." Maya smiled, thinking how wonderful that would be! Just as she really wished to meet her brother all the same!

✭✭✭ "Oh don't go flattering me Maya... But then again I do like feeding my ego so keep it up if you please," Mari said in response to Maya's compliment. When she pointed out how her brother seemed like the opposite of her Mari nodded and said, "It does seem that way, but we do have certain similarities. We are both strong just in different ways. And when it comes to fighting-" Mari paused. She couldn't believe that she almost went into how talent her brother was on the battlefield. Was she an idiot!? He was supposed to be sick. "He really loves watching people spar and train and all that. If it wasn't for his condition he would definitely be a warrior. He still is able to get in some physical activity, but not enough to meet the standards of a Lunar Guardian unfortunately." Honestly, he could probably take on most of the Lunar Guardians by himself. He's kicked my @ss on occasion, Mari thought as she spoke her lies.
"Your sister sounds energetic. I feel like her joyful attitude would do wonders for my brother who, while he may not seem like it, can be a bit of a downer at times. I'd love to get to meet her one day as well. Perhaps we could all hang out as a group if we ever get some time off. We could all go down to the tavern and drink, eat, dance. It would be fun!" Mari suggested. She did love a good party and it had been so long since she has gone out. Maya laughed awkwardly at Kamari's witty response, unsure of a proper answer but could only chuckle it off. Despite commenting about their differences, the girl had admitted to having similarities as well. "Condition? Is he chronically ill or something?" Maya asked with concern in her tone, she didn't know her brother had some sort of sickness. That would genuinly make her feel bad for her, it must be hard knowing your little brother has a sickness if he truly does. If her sister had a sickness, she'd probably never let her be alone. But he seemed to be fine for the most part, as he was described by her. If he could become one, she was quite certain he would make a fine lunar guardian! Comparing her to Kamari of course! "I'd love to see his fighting ability, who knows maybe he secretly has what it takes to become one!" She said wondering how he took to fights, being sick could certainly slow you down but it didn't mean you couldn't have hidden potentials in being strong.
Maya wondered if maybe his sickness went hand in hand with that gloominess, but she smiled at the thought, it seemed wonderful. Maybe she could help in cheering him up whenever he felt down. "Maybe she could help somewhat cheer him up, or cheer him on if he feels down." She nodded, very much liking the thought. And the idea Kamari came up with, that sounded amazing! It would most defiantly be a lot of fun, getting drinks would be one of her top favorite things to get at a tavern. "That sounds like it would be a whole lot of fun! Well than, I sure hope things settle down quietly soon, I'll be holding you to that offer." Maya said while grinning, she had already been anticipating the fun, it had been a hot minute since she got to settle down and have fun!

She told all staff and guards to leave, merely giving an excuse of wanting to redecorate the halls. x x x x Blink. Blink. Blink. His left eyelid rhythmically fluttered, open to closed. It would seem the time had finally come, the young princess of 'Iilhi had finally arrived at the west wing, and alone at that. He preferred she come alone, but had expected company. How naive of the kingdom's Flower to have thought coming alone was a smart idea, thankfully for her, he had no intention of killing her. His eye stopped blinking, he watched the princess take position in front of a window. As she stuck her head out the window, he walked through the wall directly to the right of her. His figure appearing out of thin air from the stone bricks while her attention was directed towards the apple. His steps silent, his presence hardly noticeable, he positioned himself in front of the next window to her right.
x x x x As he took place in front of the window, he looked out. His head straight, his arms at his side, his right eye staring straight forward, his left eye blinked. Blink. Blink. Blink. The distance was just enough to hide his features.
"H e l l o..."
x x x xA quiet, but harsh voice spoke out in a tune that felt almost mechanical. Unreal.

She was very strong in her own right, a princess who will gladly uproot the world to protect her kingdom. She bit into the fruit then. "You are the one who sent for this meeting. I request you get to your point instead of any idle talk." She spoke to him.
She didn't know how he entered. As long as he left right away afterwards. She was ready incase he wanted to try anything aswell. She was a peacekeeper. But she was not weak.

"W o n d e r f u l. I've never been one for small talk."
x x x x His voice gently rang throughout the stone halls as he spoke, sending small reverberations out into the stony silence until they wheedled away into nothing. There was much to talk about, but he wouldn't be able to tell her everything, he didn't think she'd see the world the way he did. His eyes slowly lowered until he could see the ground below the castle walls, so far down... He was entranced, fascinated.
"Your brother is an idiot."
x x x xHe spoke, then let the words hang in the air, he knew his sister would defend him, but Oracle wasn't the kind to sugarcoat things.
"As we speak he is committing atrocities. Sending this continent into a frenzy, of which it may never recover..."
