There must be a bug in the trade recovery tool that did not omit existing trades. We will have that fixed later today. Once we have the bugs sorted out we will make it a more permanent option.

So right now we have three options to log in. Username, user ID, and email.
I suggest that you move to email only. It would further secure accounts as it would require the attacker to know something that is otherwise not public information, in combination of the password.
It would also separate account credentials from the username allowing you to more easily release usernames. By shifting to email only you can release a username of an inactive account and then when that person signs back in (with the email address), that person would then be required to register a new username. Accounts with released usernames would just be something their user ID prefixed with a U, so in my case U7944809, that way there's at least some name present.

We actually discussed this a while back. I do agree that it's a better way of handling login. I did get some negative feedback at the time, but maybe it'll be something that will be enabled by default and Gaians can disable email-only login in the options screen

Cleanup Inactive Accounts?
Have you given it more thought about cleaning up accounts that have been inactive for say 5yrs?
You could target accounts by years of inactivity or never validating the email, or the email address no longer existing (any emails bounced). You could send out an email months in advance (if it bounces put that account on the list). That should give people plenty of time to reactive their accounts, but I mean if they haven't been on in 5yrs, what are the odds that an email is going to make them log in.
There was a thread that popped up in the SF the other day that I disagreed with the original idea, but the thought of cleaning up inactive accounts as a whole doesn't seem too bad.

That's something in the back of my mind, but I think the next big project would be related to platinum conversion, unless there is something specific with inactive accounts that's causing issues will be something we can look at.

Old Station/Old Tutorial Comeback Update
Will the Old Train Tutorial be available to those who didn't start and haven't seen the Train yet when it comes back? Will the staircase on the Sewers leading to the Old Station be opened soon and be able to see Frank and board the train again?
Maybe the problem with the Old Station script kicking players back is because it is dependent on TC (Total Charge)? A friend mentioned that when you start fresh off zOMG, you start with 0 TC, so maybe removing that in the script might make a workaround and finally get it back to the game? Also, a nice idea would be have the NPC Frank give the Integrity Ring Recipe Quest and an option to do the Old Tutorial inside the Train again?

Some players are reporting about having a blank Server Screen with no Servers in the list to be found and Forced Kick from the Brain Clam server after the server cycle. Is this true? If then, a quick fix would help and forced dc would be better to be removed because it hinders progress of instance runs. sweatdrop

Anyway, I think it has been forgotten already but there used to be zOMG scripts that was released from previous Dev Meats for everyone to see and try to understand. Not every Area Scripts was released (Only for Barton Town, Village Greens and Bills Ranch) and I was wondering if every Area Scripts could be uploaded ? As well as for Rings and Player Stats and User Interface scripts?
It would be nice to make all of zOMG's code open-source and free for all now and release them for viewing for all Gaians to see? Thanks! It would be helpful for finding out and understanding zOMG more! whee

What is going on with Team Fondue? We recently received a pm saying we received too much platinum but it doesn't make sense for everyone.

Due to a recent erorr in the Valentine's Day event, 285000 platinum had been granted to your account. Thank you for your patience."

I have been earning platinum through my art shop, through the market, through games, through posting, and selling my Gcash items. I had 60-80k plat after the event and had earned up to 287,000 plat by yesterday (3/26/19). Whatever happened, I am really frustrated and upset. I just wasted a lot of real money that was essentially taken away from me. The platinum I had after the event was not 285,000 and to me it feels that a VERY big error has been made.
After the event, I was granted exactly 1,000 platinum for being on team Fondue. I remember this very clearly. I was not granted any amount above 1k.
Some users claim they were granted trillions and trillions of gold. I was NOT one of those people that ended up with a huge amount.
Therefore, Gaia has wrongfully taken away platinum from my account that was not received as an error, which includes platinum I made from spending real money. It seems that some users received a huge inflated amount while others did not.
There are also some team Fondue members who didn't have the inflated gold amount taken away as well. I heard some were told to just keep the extra amount.
There was a brief moment after the event where my platinum balance magically went up some ridiculous number (it happened to several users but I'm not sure if it was the entire site) and I remember it was adjusted within a matter of a few hours. I vaguely remembering thinking that I had seen an announcement about it too. THAT amount was already previously taken back away though.
I feel whatever is happening right now is really unfair.

Any amount that was deducted should only have happened after the system had granted an amount higher than that in the history data. If you believe that a mistake had been made I will double check and fix any errors.

I would get error message when purchasing Gaia Cash through mobile, despite my Paypal account said it's been paid.

Why not re-release the name flairs into a cash shop after their initial release?
That way people who can't do the direct payment can still use their gaia cash that they paid for in order to pay for them =D
I also know gaia cash is still inflated, so it would be a great way to get some small payments going through! Because it's a casual enough buy, I think people would enjoy it.
You can keep the price point the exact same [250gcash]
However I think a very small price hike would be just fine [300gcash]
That way, if you do the direct payment, you get it SOONER and CHEAPER
But the price hike isnt so much that it would be unheard of or unfair.
This way people who support gaia by buying gcash, don't have to choose between buying gcash, or buying a flair. Because let's be honest there is a definite disparity in those choices, most would go for the gcash. But then it would be useless towards a flair.
Dont make users choose how to support you.... if theyre supporting you, it should be enough! why turn down people using your premium currency???

^^ my setting on Gaia upgrade using firefox browser and don't use google chrome because I'm unable to figure out how to set it to where I can go in towns so I don't use any other browser

for some reason, the market place is acting strangely. every time I go to list an item it's still set to the default time "7 days x hours x mins" but in Gaia upgrade, I have all of that set to 14 days and the sorting for the wish list seems to be broken as well. I sometimes can't sort by alphabet or prices because the options are not showing and I'd have to refresh more than 3+ times to try and bring the options back. I also notice that sometimes when it reappears the entire wishlist is without the names and in icon boxes but then it will revert back to the original format but again with no options. I don't know if it's because of all the payment changes on Gaia OR something to do with gaiaupgrade itself. please help! can provide screenshots if need be!

It is still not possible for people who are not part of a guild to look at threads which have moved subforums even if the guild is public. There are several guilds which host various kinds of guides and this makes those guides inusable as not everyone wants to join yet another guild

I think it's a problem related to loading amulet info. It's on my bug list but it's a more difficult one to fix so it's taking longer, sorry. I should have a fix in a week or two.

So... I kinda noticed a hiccup here the other day (that has been pointed out in the Bugs forum), where wishlists were changed to private without users making them private on their own. Figuring that I made a mistake in how I'd marked items, I popped over to my wishlist page, and noticed that all my previously visible wishlists were marked to be private -- something I didn't do. I reverted them to be visible, but within the hour, they were all private again. Any idea on what's causing that to happen?

PS - your settings have not been changed, it's just how the options are displayed on screen.

Are the items from the glitched trades going to be returned soon? Because myself and so many others who, either choose to cancel a trade and start over again or completed trades well, the items are not in our or the other person's inventory and that is very frightening.
Yes I will work on this soon. All items have their individual serial numbers and never get lost, they just sit at different containers during trade, so they will definitely be recovered.

Can you please fix the Mothership fourm and make it accessible? There are some very important user guides/archives on the event in there; and It's just not user accessible.
I don't think that was an intentional thing. The Event foums are supposed to be archived, all the other event forums were moved to memorable threads, so people could read through them.

In the early days there were fun races to see who could equip the most items. I often sat around 126 or so, but others were closer to 150.
Then it seemed around 07/08? that it became a hard limit of 100.
I would like to be able to equip my gift items, but dont want to break my 100 doll avi to do so. Is the limit a moveable thing?

The hard limit is set by a memory size in character limit, as newer items have larger item ids and serial numbers also gotten larger, each item take up more characters. As a result the same memory could hold less items. It's something we can look into expanding, earlier if the demand is high.
