{PRP}Flamethrower Troubles {Karunia x Vosin}

Vosin had been working on her flamethrower all morning. It had started out as a simple cleaning task and had quickly devolved into a fiasco. She'd taken it apart ok, and cleaned everything as she was suppose to. When she'd put it back together and tried to work it though, nothing happened. With a sigh she'd taken it all back apart. Vos examined it carefully. Nothing seemed out of order.

Once more she put it back together, but when she tested it. Nothing. A useless flamethrower. Vos groaned to herself, and dismantled it further than what she usually had to do. "This is a job for smiths," she muttered to herself as she fiddled unsuccessfully with pieces. Once again she'd jumped from the frypan to the fire. She sighed. If Vesin had been free she could have called her twin. Surely Ves would have known what to do.

For now the flamethrower had been completely dismantled. It was not but a bunch of scattered pieces. Vos had no idea where to start or finish from here.

Playing messenger was hard when anyone with a dragon or flit did it at least ten times faster—that’s why Karunia tended to lean on people to let her do something until she was either shooed away or given a menial task. She only tried because it gave her something fun to do, even if it was as simple as “go here.” Today, however, she hadn’t been very lucky finding anything outside of her chores list, and she was lamenting that in her break when she noticed something.

Something shiny.

Recognizing the parts of a flamethrower, Karunia gleefully made her way over to watch a goldrider at work. A candidate didn’t exactly have the best excuses to be near one, so she might have felt just a touch guilty at how pleased she was upon seeing Vosin’s frustration. Still. Time to save the day!

“Need some help?” Karunia asked with a grin. Without waiting for an answer, she crouched by the disassembled parts and nudged several with her pointer. “That screw goes with the tank for air, CO2, and nitrogen. You were using the one for the fuel tank. It’s slightly different at the nozzle, so it can get confusing, it’s so annoying.”

She didn’t sound annoyed at all.

At least she'd hoped Ves would. But now that she thought about it, maybe not. Ves had her own build in flamethrower in the form of her dragon. No help there! Vos gave a sigh as she shot a disgusted glance at offending pieces of the flamethrower. She was not to be left alone (thankfully!) to her own devices by some intervention.

Vosin looked up as a voice asked if she needed help. She watched interested as the other person easily identified the parts. Hey, now she wouldn't have to go find someone! They had come to her. Vos grinned. "You make it sound so easy. I was doing basic maintenance and it wouldn't work when I put it back together. Think you could help a girl out?" She'd try to pay attention if this person was willing, but there's no guarantee it would stick this time either.

She wondered why someone would put different screws in it. Man she just didn't understand sometimes.
