Personality: Like most of the Joy family, Karen is kind, earnest, and mostly honest, but unlike most, Karen also has a temper when it comes to the shadow of her family name. Often she will throw a tantrum at anyone who thinks that she would only be good as a nurse, as she had been told that most of her life that she would be a nurse, Karen wants to do something else for her life, instead of being a nurse.
History: Like most of the Joy family, Karen was raised from a young age on how to heal and care for pokemon, but to Karen, being a nurse never sounded appealing. She never liked the idea of being stuck in a Pokemon center for your life, and always fought her mother, the Nurse that ran Seaton Pokemon Center, for Karen to possibly take over the Pokemon Center. Because of her temper, she grew to despise her family name, as people would often consider her only as a Nurse Joy and not as her own person, it frustrated her greatly. It was after one fight with her mother, that they both snapped. Her mother frustrated that Karen wouldn't take up the mantle, decided that perhaps Karen needed to explore, to possibly get her her to finally settle down for once. For once, Karen agreed with her mother, though she still said that after her journey, she still wouldn't take up the Pokemon center, but go to see what was out there in life. Gathering some items in her pack, she started her journey to see the world.

Goals/Dreams: To step out of the shadow of her families name. She wants to be known for something more then being a Nurse, and so set out to make a name for herself.
Skills: Being that she is the from the Joy family line, she is quite skilled at treating pokemon injuries and aliments. She also is good at preparing pokemon food, though when it comes to cooking human food, it not the best.
