While this ORP is specifically aimed at Maus, anybody out looking for missing felines is free to join in.
Several cats had gone missing in the last several days - including Itsuki's precious Dororo, something the man absolutely couldn't abide. While posters had seemed to be a cliche to him for all other missing felines, he himself had gone above and beyond when his own had disappeared.
Because clearly she had been Catnapped right from his home, and that alone was an absolute offense.
He'd been putting up one of his posters in an area simply full of cats rubbing their faces all over- noting several others that were up (Pretty Girl was a strange name for a cat with a star on it's forehead) from the same period of time and trying to not imagine a 101 Dalmations scenario when he'd felt the slightest tinge of something. Just for a moment, but enough to send him scampering into another form - one more spotted and with large claws and a touch more magical.
The entire area smelled wild to his powered feline body - like catnip, almost. Like something had rubbed itself all over everything recently. It explained all of the cats...but man did Leopard's Eye want to rub his face all over everything.

Enyo was a wandering cat usually, and sometimes while that might have gotten her into a pickle (or two), it also often lead her new and interesting finds. This day, in the form of a man who seemed vaguely familiar. Not that she could place from where, but, he seemed normal enough. Perhaps just someone she passed by frequently? She didn't think much of him as she say him putting up posters.
Nor would she have connected him to the leopard stalking about later on in the day. The air was not bad but not good. Strange- she rather liked it. But what was stranger was seeing the dream leopard in person, and Enyo's fur stood on end, making her look like a tiny puff ball as she stared. "Y-" She barely could speak. "You!"
Running up, and in a moment of pure and utter uncertainly in wishing to verify he was real- she began to weave between his legs, making figure eights and brushing against him- (who could blame her he was warm). "You're not in a dream!"
Haymitch loved catnip, and that is what had to be here. Because there wasn't much else that made him excited like this. Sure, a ball of yarn could do the same sort of thing, as could a good feather, but catnip.
The kitten rolled around from behind a bush and grinned up at the other Guardian cat and the giant cat. Oh man. Who got to be giant cats?! Could he be a giant cat? He wanted to be a giant cat!
He completely missed the whole point that there was at least one missing cat. No, he just wanted to be giant! Why? No idea. It just seemed like a really fun idea and made his kitten brain go burr.
Or maybe that was the catnip. That was definitely the catnip.
REGARDLESS.
"HOW'D YOU BECOME A GIANT CAT I WANNA BE A GIANT CAT!" said Haymitch, Chaos Guardian kitten and resident mail carrier. He put his front paws on Itsuki's front leg and continued to yowl loudly. How else was he supposed to get anyone's attention at all? Especially being so small!
If he was a giant cat, he wouldn't have to yowl!
"HI I'M HAYMITCH AND I LIKE CATNIP!"
Catnip. GIB CATNIP.

Mel had been out wandering as he tended to do but he was wandering with a more precise reason this particular night and that was because of the smell. There was something in the air and it got stronger and stronger the more he wandered, his nose in the air. What was it? It smelled so interesting. Mel really really wanted to find what ever was making that smell!
He had followed the scent so far only to come to a stop at the sight that was before him. A giant cat! A giant cat with a little cat currently rubbing itself all up on the big guy and another cat yowling something about catnip. Wow... that was one big cat!
Without a scared bone in his body the Savannah cat bounded over and of course the first thing out of his mouth was, "your like a the mamma cat to us little ones! Your even bigger then me!" He paused a second, his head cocked slightly to the side as he observed the spots all over the much larger feline. He twisted around enough to look at his own spots and then back at the big guy, back and forth he looked before he blurted out, "We aren't related are we? You got more spots then me but still! Will I get that big when I get older too?"

Honto Kawaii Guardian Neko Itsuki (just Itsuki for short!) was out on patrol. And by patrol, he really meant surfing for yakisoba for dinner or something similar. That in and of itself wasn't usual. What was unusual, however, was an incredible concentration of... catnip?
And cats to go with it?
The lilac point poked his head around the corner from the alley in which he'd been hiding, observing not only several cats he knew had to be Mauvians. They were talking, after all! Was this a meeting? If it was, did he miss the invitation!? Itsuki tried to be so good about that! Oh no, he'd have to report to Ash-denka and apologize for missing the meeting and---
Wait, why would a meeting be held in the city??
Wait, is that...
cat_eek
"Leopard-sama??" came the squeak, and a white-and-lilac streak of color and sound came barreling from around the corner. It was then that Itsuki realized that yes, indeed, the other cats were Mauvians. But they were also Chaos Mauvians."Leopard-sama, you're really really real! Honto real! What are you doing here, Leopard-sama??"
In his incredulity, Itsuki nearly ran over this poor tiny Chaos kitten. How could they take kittens?? "EH. Gomen nasai, Kitten-kun! Are you here to see Leopard-sama too?"

Leopard-sama??
Tama’s ears perked up as he heard a familiar voice. It was hard to mistake Itsuki for any other cat and, even though he had not seen him since not long after his awakening over a year ago, the grey feline never forgot a face.
Especially of another Mauvian.
Many things had been odd lately (the posters, the lost cats, the strange smell of catnip) and the overwelming signature of so many guardian cats in one place was just one of them now. One very curious thing. Mauvians didn’t gather for no reason, after all. And, as the violet-eyed Manx came in closer, he found something much more unusual than a gathering of alien cats.
A leopard.
”Leopard-sama?,” He replied to Itsuki in greeting and approached the lilac cat as he adjusted his glasses to get a better look at the strange scene before him. ”Is that an astute observation or are you referring to him with respect? Either way, I do think the others are confused as to what that feline is. He’s quite clearly a leopard... and a handsome one at that.”
Tama’s look was quite critical like one who was trying to solve a puzzle yet, at the same time, stay his distance.
”Perhaps you can fill me in, Itsuki-kun. What is a leopard doing here and...” You can see a flash of curiosity in Tama’s expression that was quite rare for the Mauvian. He was not so often intrigued like this. His gaze barely left the wildcat as he spoke.
There was something about the leopard that he couldn’t quite place.... Something stranger and more mysterious than even a report of a missing star-bearing Mauvian.
It was hard to ignore when crazy things happened in this City. Obie prided herself in trying to stay in the loop and when cats started to go missing, of course she was extra interested in what could possibly be happening. It was common enough to see a missing pet flyer, but less common to see them piled over one another on every power line pole, park billboard, and inside the local pet shops. It was an epidemic and she was trying to do what she could to help. Searching the city for missing cats and coming up completely empty.
As she was wandering around today the scent of something...tempting drifted through the air. What was it that had her being drawn to this particular street? Well, as she got closer she also felt the familiar sense of Mauvians. There was just enough of a difference for her to know ahead of time that it was a mixture of both Order and Chaos. But, as she rounded a corner to see what could possibly be going on, a very unique sight greeted her.
She wanted to scream (in a good way) and point and be loud and excitable, but with so many distinguished Mauvians about she tried to hide her kitten-like excitement over what she was seeing. Instead she simply wandered over toward the group and had a seat across from where the spotted Leopard was, with another Mauvians weaving through his legs, and a fellow Chaos kitten showing enough excitement over what was happening for the both of them.
"W-what's going on here?" She had hoped some of the other Mauvians might have some answers and that despite their differences, they were all probably here for the same reason. Mauvians were Mauvians, no matter whose side they were on.
"Is it the catnip in the air, or is that really a Leopard?" She tried a joke, to break the ice. Did it work?

It was the catnip that'd drawn the pale kitten, but it was the beast that'd kept her. Reven had come to investigate like everyone else, the scent of the n** driving her absolutely wild, but she hasn't even had time to enjoy it before something had snatched her up.
Now she found herself caught up, irrate and surly as she did everything in her slight power to free herself.
When she got free...

going with the already nabbed angle if that's alright!
It would have hard to miss the posters all crowding space with each other, the sight of posters not a particularly strange sight - particularly not 'missing' posters–
After all missing posters weren't exactly a rarity in Destiny City.
These particular posters had all seemed to be of cats though, which seemed a little strange - particularly as some of said posters appeared to have cats that had stars on their foreheads.
It was in fact the 'star cats' that had grabbed his attention such as the one of a cat the apparently went by 'Pretty Girl' - because Liryn only really knew of one set of 'cats' that had stars on their foreheads and he was one of them.
It was something that bore investigation, which was how the small tabby mauvian bobtail had found himself out and about, purplish eyes sparkling at the thought of poking about in the mystery–
Getting cat-napped himself had not been part of the plan, the catnip a distraction, Liryn unable to prevent the thing from snatching him up.
He had not been happy about it however and had attempted to claw swipe whilst yowling in outrage.
It hadn't helped, hadn't stopped him from being taken - but Liryn liked to think that at least he hadn't made it easy on the thing.

<3 - I went with the previously nabbed option too

*Italicized text is Leopard speaking in Japanese. I am sparing a series of translations via Google that are likely incorrect lmao*
He'd begun counting the nearby cats when a more familiar one came bounding over.
8. 8 normal cats.
Perhaps Leopard's Eye had been sensing one of the Mauvians, several seeming to come out of the woodworks when he'd gone on the immediate defensive. Some of which were familiar, at that. "Unless you're sleeping," he teased, nosing at Enyo as she made her approach to start rubbing on his legs. He whuffed loudly before sniffing at the next Mau on approach.
He sniffed at Haymitch thoughtfully, as though sniffing a kitten would tell him what it was he'd felt. No, not this one either. "I was born a giant cat," he answered, "but maybe if you eat your Wheaties you can be a big cat too." Of course, he'd have never let Dororo eat people food, so maybe that was a poor suggestion. He counted again.
7. 7 normal cats.
Leopard perked up at the approach of the Savannah cat, initially hoping and dreaming it was his beloved, sweet, perfect Dororo. Mel....was not. But still he fussed lightly over his new son. "We could be. Do you know Dororo?" maybe this Mau would know, though if he'd been asked about a Leopard at the Zoo he would have known nothing.
So caught up on Mel, it was the sudden squeak of another familiar voice that had Itsuki - no, Leopard's Eye - looking up towards...Itsuki (hoo, no wonder it had hurt his head), reaching out to boop his snout against the light furred feline. "I am taking a vacation,*" he answered, in reference to their previous conversation. "And I am looking for a friend. Do you know a cat named Dororo?"
Another Mauvian approached, this one apparently familiar with Itsuki (not..not him-Itsuki). He listened intently to the questioning, his tail flicking once. "I can answer such questions myself," he noted with a touch of disappointment in his voice, carefully beginning to step through all of the gathering felines and counting the number of head-stars as well as the number of non-starred cats that were still rubbing themselves on everything.
5. 5 normal cats...
Obie was also given a long inquiring look before he answered; "I make a very good hallucination," he decided with a nod.
Before he could speak further, however, another voice broke the gathering. If it could be called that. It was gutteral, with an intonation like a non-speaking animal attempting to mimic the speak of something much more capable than itself.
Ki̱̺̹͕͉ͅ.͏̗͙͖̹̪̜̩.̮͠.̠͎̹͎̦͕t̝̖̗̞t҉̖͔̞͍̘̪y̵̼̭̭̱̙
Leopard's Eye immediately bristled, head spinning around to try and spot the speaker (if it could be called that), a sudden yeowling drawing his attention up the way where something oozed along a wall, amorphous limbs holding onto the stone desperately as something very brown and very curly and very much looking like a 'Pretty Girl' screeched in her attempt to clamber out of it's flesh - along with others who were in it's depths.
It quickly pushed the head of the distressed Mau back into it's blobbish body before carefully reaching out and grabbing up another cat that had drawn close in to it, the obvious scent of catnip wafting off of it like a teenage boy who had dosed up too hard with the Axe Body Spray in the locker room.
Then, the sudden movement of something - a bicycle, it seemed - sent the creature skittering over the wall...and away.
She floofed at being touched but warmed quickly to the large feline. She was very much certain she was awake- if she'd fallen asleep she'd not want to intrude upon him again, though Destiny City wasn't on fire so... as good as could be dream or not. "Seeing you in the flesh has caught me by surprise. One would think the warmth of your domain much better to here. At least there the scent wasn't so... chemical."
Being low to the ground didn't have many perks. "But today.. something smells nice. It's why I came and-" She smiled at the chaos kitten that arrived. "-it seems why others had as well." Going over to the smaller mauvian she looked him up and down and promptly made a decision to adopt him. Never mind she didn't know him, he was a chaos Kitten. And that was what was important.
"Haymitch, was it?" She gentle spoke. "It's impolite to climb on others. Paws on the ground." Her admonishment didn't last long as more cats arrived- order included. "Oh my. This is.... a few of us." It made her nervous. One or two might be not so sought out but this many? It was asking for youma.
"As.. oh yes, as good as the catnip is perhaps we ought to not linger? Youma tend-"
And then the voice broke through and Enyo's ears went back, sighing heavily.
"And of course, a youma would appear." Watching it, tail flicking in aggitation she did not like what she saw. Not a bit.
"I... Oh my goodness do NOT tell me that is why you are about? You're not going to run and fight that are you?"

More and more cats were showing up, not that Mel really cared. He was more or less focused on the big cat who was talking to each as if he knew everyone. Was he the god of Mau? The great grand daddy of them all? "Dororo?" The name didn't ring any bells and caused the large guardian cat to shake his head. "Nope. Don't know no Dororo. I know about Doritos though but that is a snack. Well more like a chip. They come in lots of different flavors and shapes and bags. I'm partial to the normal cheese ones but the cool ranch ones are really good too. You just got to be careful when eating them cuz the powder gets everywhere, and I mean everywhere! I once had a whole bag by my self and ended up finding Dorito dust like three days later. Its almost as worse as glitter or Cheeto dust!"
Mel started to ramble, going on and on about a snack food and not the cat that the leopard had actually asked about. Luckily for all involved, because seriously who wanted to learn where Mel found the cheese dust days later, no one thats who, the cat's meandering train of thought was abruptly derailed by a creepy a** voice that spoke from the shadows.
The savanna cat's fur bristled and stood on end at the sound, golden eyes going wide at the appearance of the apparent owner of said voice. The scent of catnip got stronger and stronger to the point it was nearly cloying, it made Mel gag a bit. The cat who tried to escape from its gelatinous shadowy figure didn't help matters either. "What is that thing!?!?!?" He yowled as he took a step backwards. He was all for a fight but that thing looked more like the Blob then something he could fight. Would claws even work against that thing?

Chip didn't get out much... That's not to say he didn't like the outside, he just didn't go there.
Honestly, it was mostly because nobody bothered to tell him about the teleporter that could take him to the normal, not-scary world.
He'd found it quite by accident but was quite pleased about it after he did...so was happily strutting his tiny way through town. He knew, of course, that people might try to snatch him up, being a tiny kitty walking around, so mostly did his best to avoid people—it was actually rather easy.
It was while he was dodging some screeching girls that he’d noticed a simply wondrous smell. So, naturally, he semi-cautiously came closer, only to spot a bunch of cats, and one really big one! He gawked, astounded for a moment, before charging in to properly enjoy the smells…and possibly trip up some of the larger cats around (‘some’ really meant ‘nearly all of them’, since he was quite small).

There really was starting to be a decent number of Mauvians gathered in one place. So many new faces and she wanted to know every one of them better. Including the large Leopard that was in their midst. She actually laughed a little bit when he replied to her, but it didn't really clear anything up. So, wait. She wasn't hallucinating right now, was she?
A confused look crossed her face for a moment, but just then something more pressing called out to them all. She had been sitting before, but now she stood, alert as she scanned the area and found the source of both that creepy voice and catnip smell.
Was that a youma? Or something else? Just as quickly as it appeared it skittered off and over the roof of the building. Well, at least she knew what was happening to the cats of Destiny City now.
"I think that thing is something we all need to take care of." It wasn't something that could be ignored, that much was for certain. Mauvians were Mauvians, she didn't care what side of the 'war' they were on, they didn't deserve to be digested by that thing.

An aggressive flick of the Leopard's tail was the only warning before he approached the wall, sniffing it for a moment...before the utter smell of it twisted his senses. He butted his head against the place the Youma had perched, almost purring before pulling himself away, ears flattening back.
"There is no room in my city for it," he rumbled in affirmation. "I bet...I know where my cat went." Oh, his dear little Dororo. Was she nabbed by that...thing?
"I'm following," he announced, "come or stay," he added, the authoritative tone he usually reserved for dreams plain in his voice. Leopard's Eye would wait only long enough to help any who would struggle with making the hop up over the wall with getting over before he crossed over himself into what looked like somebody's back yard.
The entire yard smelled like a trail of catnip had crossed through it and off to the other side near the storm drain. Was there anything else to check out over there? Perhaps a drain?
