User ImageName: Michelangelo Ziegfried duPont

Nickname: Michel is the most common one. He’s also gotten Micha or Milo a few times. Please don’t call him Angelo or Angel.

Gender/Pronouns: cis man, he/him

Age: 31

Birthday: March 21st, 1988

Sign: Pisces/Aries Cusp

Gemstone: Aquamarine

Blood Type: A+

Fav. Food: Michelangelo is definitely a bit of a foodie and will likely eat most anything put in front of him if it was prepared well-enough (and probably if it wasn't, realistically). That being said, he has a love for burritos, beef, bean, and cheese his favorite variety.

Hated Food: Frankly, he doesn't understand this new quiche fad and would like to avoid it whenever possible. Are they supposed to be tasty? Because they taste more like mush to him.

Occupation: Michelangelo has an MBA because his grandparents told him to get one. He doesn’t use it. He honestly doesn’t do much of anything.

Hobbies:
“Lemme Get My Sax.” - When he was younger, his grandparents began harping on his father to make Michelangelo a little more cultured. Not particularly wanting to lose his access to the inheritance, his father reluctantly agreed and signed up Michelangelo for music lessons. He didn't actually expect his son to latch on to it in any capacity, the boy rather lackadaisical even in his youth, but it turned out that Michelangelo took to the saxophone like super glue to a finger. Thoroughly enjoying it, he kept with it, and he's extremely proficient with the instrument now. Finding it relaxing and enjoyable, it doesn't bother him the same way other high-effort activities might, and Michelangelo will put forth the daily effort to play on the sax.

”Five More Minutes...” - It’s hard to make a hobby out of lounging, but Michelangelo’s figured it out. One of his favorite pastimes is simply to let time pass. Going out and doing things without an obvious benefit tends to be met with groans and moans and other signs of disapproval, but lazing around in his house? He adores that. It isn't necessarily uncommon to find Michelangelo in his jacuzzi, or on his bed, or basking in the sun, just utterly relaxed. He usually tends to rope others into relaxation time too, just fine with sharing his space so long as everyone--and especially him--is enjoying themselves.

”Party, You Say?” - For all of his lounging around, there is a rather easy way to convince Michelangelo to go elsewhere. Michelangelo loves social gatherings in general and is a rather large fan of parties. They energize him. Festivals, celebrations, pool parties with music, personal parties with silly games like truth or dare, he’s a fan of it all. The exception to this tends to be noisy, incoherent places like clubs; Michelangelo wouldn’t be caught dead in such a place. When there are too many people bustling about, it’s also hard to just get some private conversation in...

Virtues:
“Oh, I Can Tell.” - Michelangelo is highly astute. He spends a lot of his time observing people, and as a consequence over time, he’s gotten quite good at picking up feelings, interactions, emotions, inclinations, and more of the other people around him. When he can be arsed, and especially when he intends to get out of something or into something else, Michelangelo can use this ability to weave himself into conversations seamlessly, appear to actually have been paying attention when he most definitely wasn’t, and even, on occasion, convince other people that they should be doing something instead of him. He’d probably make a good businessperson if he could actually be arsed to do so.

”Yeah, Sure.” - Is there something specific someone needs to make the situation more to their taste? Michelangelo’s got it. In general, Michelangelo is a rather accommodating person. Whatever someone else needs or wants, so long as it fits within Michelangelo’s paradigm, he’s willing to get or adjust to. He’s generally fairly amenable to most things except those that require a significant amount of effort from him specifically, and he’s most definitely indulgent. If someone’s in his presence and suggests they want something, he’s likely to go get it for them. … Or possibly have someone else go get it for them, anyway. Semantics.

”It Goes There.” - Everything has its spot. Some of his things are useful, others are sentimental, yet others are expensive, but either way, Michelangelo needs to make sure they stay accessible or at least in an obvious location. Over time, it became obvious that the simplest and easiest way to accomplish that was to have a system. It meant he never had to think too hard about where something might be or waste time looking for it. It’s either where it belongs, or perhaps where he set it down earlier in a rush--which has its own set locations, too. This sense of organization generally leaks into other areas of his life; not only is it easy to find things in his house, Michelangelo generally has a fairly predictable schedule, and even though his instinct is to laze, he’s always on time.

Flaws:
“Nah, I’m Good.” - Michelangelo is accommodating, but that doesn’t make him not stubborn. He’s perfectly willing to roll with what other people want so long as it follows with his expectations, but expecting him to change? Expecting him to do something different than his typical mode? Ah, funny joke! He doesn't bend very far when it comes to getting him to do things that may personally inconvenience him, such as actually needing to do something himself that requires physical labor, or being expected to do something that isn't somehow fun without it being previously scheduled. Michelangelo is also highly resistant to change, especially on a personal level, and will grouse all day long if forced into something that doesn’t fall in line with what he wants to do or what he expects to do in any fashion. He might need to be dragged kicking and screaming.

”... Do I Have To?” - Michelangelo cannot be arsed. In general, if given the option, he won't. And it’s nothing personal. Why would he even bother when he could have someone else do it for him? Certainly, there’s someone else better suited. Maybe hire a maid? Getting him to do anything is a challenge, and he’s highly reluctant to put an effort into much of anything unless there is a clear and obvious immediate benefit. Even then, Michelangelo’s preference is to lounge or partake in more carnal pleasures, and he’ll typically make every excuse in the book before agreeing to do something.

“It’s About Me.” - Michelangelo is innately selfish. Most of his life focuses are narrowed in on what he wants and what he needs--though mostly on what he wants, let’s be real--and it’s rather hard to get him to focus his desires outside of that range. He’s altruistic until being so would inconvenience him, he’s friendly until someone suggests doing something he’s not already into, he’s accommodating until the efforts to be accommodating would take more effort than he’s willing to expend. For the most part, he does a fairly good job of disguising this selfishness under his charisma and his astuteness, but there are times it rears its ugly head and other people may not want a damn thing to do with Michelangelo in this state. It’s hard to summon the effort to care or the effort to change, though. Besides, other people enjoy him.

That’s enough, right?

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Eyes: Narrowed, orange-red. Thin, expressive eyebrows accentuate the look.

Hair: Longer hair is in fashion these days, and Michelangelo is fine with that. While the length fluctuates, he generally lets his hair drape very slightly over his shoulders, falling from a left side part to surround his eyes and cover his ears. It’s a lavender purple in color.

Face: Michelangelo’s facial features are just on the masculine side of androgynous. He’s got a long, straight nose that’s rounded at the end, a narrow brow bridge, moderate cheekbones, and full lips.

Skin Tone: His skin tone is a medium cool brown, with rosy undertones. He’s rather proud of how it makes his hair and eyes pop.

Body Type: Michelangelo is short for a man, though not embarrassingly so. He stands at about 5’6”. His body build is lithe, generally, and has on occasion given him boy band vibes. It’s obvious that he doesn’t take too much effort to keep himself thin beyond what he has to, though, and he’s a bit squishy, especially around the middle.

Clothes: Michelangelo is surprisingly trendy, concerned enough with his appearance that he shines at it. Always on the cutting edge, from jackets to tighter pants to the right colors for the season, Michelangelo is bound to turn a couple of heads from sheer wardrobe alone. If left on his own, he will tend to go with colors that accentuate his appearance, preferring reds, oranges, and browns.

User ImageKnight Title: Abzu, Page of Neptune

Challenge: “Do you really wanna do this?”

Uniform:
Top -- Abzu is wearing a tuxedo coat in a style similar to the one she’s wearing. There are Neptunian symbols on the turned out parts of the coat. Underneath the coat, he’s wearing a light blue button-down collared shirt.
Bottoms -- Pants, slightly on the wide leg side.
Gloves -- No gloves.
Belt -- The pants he’s wearing seem rather high-waisted, with a large, sparkling belt between the pants and the shirt.
Shoes -- Formal shoes, pointed with a very slight heel.
Shoulders -- Nothing special on his shoulders at first stage.
Accessories -- Bowties are cool. Abzu wears a bowtie under his shirt collar with Neptune symbols on each side.

Weapon & Magic
Page Weapon: A sopranissimo saxophone. It makes pretty music, but it’s pretty useless in battle.

Squire Weapon: A soprano saxophone. A little bigger, a little less convenient for carrying around, but it’s a little easier to play, at least? At this stage, the design seems a bit more ornate, with hints of Neptunian motifs.

When Abzu channels his magic by playing his saxophone, up to two targets will suddenly feel far more generous than they had before. If they had stolen something, including energy or a starseed, they may feel more inclined to give it back. After all, they should be more generous, and that person likely needs it more than they do! It is possible to fight this sensation off with a strong enough will, though this may just result in them being inclined to give something else less important instead. He can channel this magic for a total of 30 seconds.

Knight Weapon: A tenor saxophone. Though he probably wouldn’t want to, clobbering someone with it would definitely hurt! It has ornate carvings of the Neptunian symbol and seems to be made of blue metal.

When Abzu channels his magic by playing his saxophone, those enemies within a 10 ft radius will suddenly feel far more generous than they had before. If they had stolen something, including energy or a starseed, they may feel more inclined to give it back. After all, they should be more generous, and that person likely needs it more than they do! It is possible to fight this sensation off with a strong enough will, though this may just result in them being inclined to give something else less important instead. He can channel this magic for a total of 60 seconds.

What a lump oh no i love him.

The First Bet tm
Everything looks good here!

Hobbies
Looks Good!

Virtues
Looks good!

Flaws
Nah, I'm Good: For me, this flaw is in conflict with his "Yeah, sure" virtue. However, it can work with just a little rewording. For instance, I am a mostly accommodating person, but there are some things that I won't budge on. You nodded to this with the statement "He’s perfectly willing to roll with what other people want so long as it follows with his expectations, but expecting him to change? Expecting him to do something different than his typical mode? Ah, funny joke!" Maybe if you can clarify what things he is stubborn about regarding himself and his ways?

Powered
Name: Since rings aren't on the planet you can't use the ring of Neptune as a wonder. Lassell was stamped before the 2k16 rule change, and so has been grandfathered. I looked for other things named Le Verrier, but the only things were an asteroid which isn't available for knights, a crater on the moon which is also not available, and a Martian crater. If you wanted to use the Martian crater, you would need to change him to a Martian Knight, OTHERWISE, you will need to find a new wonder. Sorry about that ;; .

ahh I'm glad you love him * A*

I added a line to "Nah, I'm Good" to clarify further what I named in the first part of his trait, hopefully that'll be good now! It comes down to the fact that he's accommodating but also sometimes he's kinda stubborn and lazy, basically.

That's disappointing to hear, but I do have a few backups? I swapped his name over to Abzu which is the Sumerian and Akkadian mythological name for the primeval sea.

Let me know if everything looks good now~

This is a neat idea! While Abzu has a few potential meanings, I think that as the mythological ocean underneath the earth/underworld it is a great wonder for a Neptune knight!

Additionally, the rules on Knight weapons are that they should be something timeless; after some consideration and consultation with a few other stampers, I think a saxophone may only be a few hundred years old but the idea behind these instruments expands longer than that. These instruments do not offer any technological advantage and instruments make perfect weapons for Neptune Knights. So, a saxophone would be fine for a weapon but we recommend that you work with an artist to maybe simplify the design or make it clearly oriented with Neptune from the get go.

Until the slot is obtained, the name isn't locked so please double check when you acquire the character to make sure it's still valid. Good luck!
