Since her visit to the dream world, Nereid realized she was sorely lacking on the....powered up front. She needed to get stronger. Better. Faster.
But mostly stronger. There was a level, she found, on the phone app that told her the extent of her strength! While she could never become a princess, she definitely could become an eternal with the butt wings and all! She knew some eternals, and that corrupt that like....yeah! With his body and whatever, she knew him...pretty sure he was an eternal now!
She didn't want to fall behind and so she was out to stop the evil beings and gain that mass EXP. Maybe she'd get a good EXP boost and just go for it.
And it seemed to be a good night cause she caught 'aura' of an enemy mob, dropping down on Sylvite as she did whatever she was doing to the civilian.
"I AM NEREID OF WATERFALLS." Nereid proudly proclaimed, "I am challenging you to a battle Captain...." Whatever their name was.

Sylvite felt the aura, too, and it was making her excited. She hadn't found any senshi for a little bit now, and she hadn't found any that she was actually ready for in longer. It seemed like tonight was gonna be the night, though, 'cause pretty much as soon as she powered up she felt the aura and then it was heading towards her. It was actually moving almost too fast, which meant she had to act quick. She didn't get to be picky about her starseed target, either. The first person she saw alone was some business suit looking guy, and even then she barely had gotten her hand in his chest before she heard footsteps from above, and then there was someone dropping down and yelling stuff. Important stuff. Like her name. Sylvite twirled around, which left her ripping the dude's soul out while he was still standing up and he kinda fell in a heap. Oops. Still, she had bigger problems now. "What?" Sylvite blinked. "But I was gonna- whatever." If this girl was gonna be so determined to fight, then Sylvite could fight, at least long enough to figure out what she was about. "Okay." She summoned her knives, although she tucked one in her belt quick so she could keep her fingers wrapped around the starseed. The other knife got pointed right at the senshi. "I'm Sylvite. Let's go."

Oh s**t, she had knives. Knives were terrible. She didn't want Slyvie to get away so she moved around. The businessman wasn't lost.
"That's a nifty little item you got there, just so you know!" Nereid didn't like that the equated value of a soul was literally in a small seed, but she didn't make the game rules....she just followed them.
"How about we settle this without the weapons?" Nereid held out her arms. "Waterfall Barrier*"Stari_maga Waterfalls Barrier! Nereid calls the name of her attack, and holds out her arms. A thick circle of 8 feet water appears over her intended target's head and then comes crashing down. It acts as a wall between the target and everyone else, and last for 35 seconds. Anyone in the circle of 8 feet cannot move outside of it until the attack is over, and vice versa, anyone outside the circle cannot force themselves in. She can use this attack twice.

Sylvite glanced down at the starseed for just a second with a big grin. "Yeah," she said. "It's pretty cool." She still didn't love the idea of randomly stabbing people, so she did hesitate, maybe a little too long, since after a attack yell of waterfall barrier, which went in her mental notes, there was a literal waterfall. At least, she was pretty sure it was a waterfall. She couldn't, like, actually see since she was kind of in the middle of a downpour. She sputtered, coughed, and lunged towards the edge, only to find that she couldn't go any further. Most of the hints of the bouncy teenager were gone, including her carefully curled hair which was now plastered flat to her head. "Hey! That's a weapon," she said, smile replaced with a very annoyed frown. She tried to pull it in a little. She could still salvage this, maybe. "If you want the starseed," she said as best she could when water was trying to get in her mouth, "What are you gonna give me for it?"

Nereid struggled at first to think of a plan to get the starseed back. She had the agent trapped but what happened when like....the waterfalls fell? She didn't have enough time to check the body, attack the woman as soon as she came out AND try to get the seed back.
Augh, why did Nega's make things so hard? Was she on hard mode right now?
She looked around the alley, eyes settling on a thrown out mop as a weapon and taking it. It would last her a couple hits she was sure, but other then that.....
"How about I don't keep you trapped in endless waterfalls all night?" She could summon a lot of waterfalls...if need be!

Was that a mop? That was a mop. Sylvite let out something between a whine and a squeak, honestly pretty intimidated, which felt stupid because mops weren’t scary. Still, Sylvite was very quickly starting to hate the getting soaked thing and the being trapped thing, and she really, really didn’t wanna stay trapped while Nereid had a big stick to whack her with. It made her think of that time in the warehouse, and deep inside, she shuddered. She might have shuddered a little bit on the outside, too, but it could’ve been a shiver since the waterfall was also kinda freezing. A good soldier would suck it up and learn how long her magic lasted. Still, she didn’t have to be happy about it. “Yeah, that would really suck,” she snapped back, the earlier playfulness completely gone now. “It might suck so bad I have to eat the starseed to keep my energy up.”

The waterfall barrier came down, releasing the captain from its hold and Nereid aimed her mop right at the starseed hand that held it.
"No time for snacks! We're in a battle after all!" Nereid grinned, shoving the dirty mop head towards the woman.
"Now....Unhand that item please if you will!" she nodded. "OR ELSE THE MOP WILL BE YOUR END."
Wait she could do better.
"Wait no, I'll mop the floor with you!" Okay better. cause the floor was wet....and she had a mop.
