Status Effects The Dormouse Cafe: Quote: 1: You and your companion(s) have ordered the advertised speciality drink. Upon drinking it, everyone begins to sound a little squeaky...as if a mouse is speaking. Even your own voice sounds too high-pitched for what it should be. While annoying, it doesn't seem to detract from your experience. 2: Biscuits are provided, for no charge, on every table and upon eating one, you find that you're suddenly very sleepy. In fact, you feel like you're constantly going to doze off. Strange, you were feeling full of energy just moments ago! 3: The cafe doesn't seem to care much about sticking to health codes. More than once you swear you see a mouse skitter by and at some point, one runs across your table but it seems like no one notices. Soon it's distracting enough that you can't seem to focus on anything but the pitter patter of tiny mouse paws. 4: After eating anything from the Dormouse Cafe, you find yourself irrationally frightened of cats, even the mention of the word draws a terrified squeak from you. (Carries over into your next 2 RPs)
Prompt This is a DAY prompt only: Rumor has it that the Dormouse Cafe is the place to go if you're looking to trade secrets or information. Therefore it's an appealing location to pop into and visit but it's tricky to navigate how to barter with someone for secrets so, as one of your first ventures into the cafe, you try to watch and observe. People are definitely aware of you, so you probably want to watch what you're saying.
As "fighting" wasn't exactly her preferred method when it came to her involvement in the Negaverse, Prissy had taken it upon herself to investigate some of the local spots around Witzend to do some information digging. And shopping. But, of course, mostly digging.
She was far, far too above being a nerd and checking out places like the local library and whatnot... but the cute little cafe around the corner had been rumored to have a wealth of information so she'd decided it was in her best interest to check things out... and maybe grab a sweet or two, while she was there.
With Chase being far too busy with his grand scheming and plotting, she'd taken her faithful companion along for the ride -- a "date", as she called it, with her favorite candy prince.
"If you're a good boy, I'll even get us some sweets to eat back at the hotel," she purred softly, yet loud enough for the Persian in her purse to overhear as they walked through the cafe's doorway.
Not that she wasn't already planning on nabbing a few sweets for the road anyways...

Theodore was ecstatic.
Not only had he been allowed to accompany his mistress on the trip, he had been chosen and stupid Silk had been left behind. Plus he was getting to showcase how wonderful and great he was to a variety of people.
He hadn't deemed any of them worth his affection, like Miss Prissy and Miss Regan (whom he definitely intended on getting pictures with just to rub it in Silk's face), but maybe he'd like one or two of them enough to convince them to leave their superior officers and come beneath his perfect senshi's wing.
"I am always good Miss Prissy," he preened, poking his head up out of her purse to take in the cafe.
Being on a 'date' with his favorite person was exciting. The only thing that would make it better would be him having thumbs but...that would have to wait. If there were senshi around he couldn't risk altering them to the fact they were here!
"Do you think we'll find anything?"

"I'm sure we'll find something," she assured him, fingers moving down to gently scritch behind his ears, mindful not to disturb his lovely, perfection positioned hat.
Truth be told, she didn't really mind if they didn't find any information or not - a nice break from all the seriousness was in order and it was a nice change of pace to be waited on in a cafe as opposed to being expected to wait on people.
"Do you want something to drink in particular, my love? Cocoa? Tea? Milk?"
As she approached the counter, she glanced down at her furry companion expectantly while the attendant continued to help the people in front of her. She was probably going to help herself to some coffee but if anyone were to dare question why she'd brought a cat into the place, they'd surely get an earful about being questioned over her "emotional support animal".
She'd gotten used to having the argument, after all.

A nice, throaty purr rumbled from his chest when she scratched him behind the ears. Any time his mistress was giving him attention, he was a happy mauvian.
"Chocolate milk please," he requested, blinking up at her with big pink eyes. Cocoa sounded lovely but too hot for his personal preferences right now. He did however, clamp his mouth shut as the approached the counter, not wanting to draw too much attention to them just yet.
Instead, Theodore bumped his head against her side and nuzzled his face into it.
If anyone tried to touch him he'd hiss, but for his mistress? She got nothing but absolute adoration.
"Ey, what can I get ya miss?" The man at the counter said, once it was finally Prissy's turn.

Fingers continued to idly scritch against his sweet little head as he nuzzled her hip, a position she had quickly grown used to over their years together. Well, year and eleven months, if they wanted to be precise -- Prissy, despite her constant need for people to do things on her behalf, had a fairly good memory when it came to anniversaries. She'd already ordered a few things to arrive back home upon their return to shower upon her companion in celebration of their two years of almost-inseperableness.
After all, only special senshi had Mauvian attachments and any cat worthy enough to partner up with her deserved all sorts of celebration in his honor, as far as she was concerned.
When the man behind the counter with the strange accent asked for her order, she ordered a fancy drink for herself and a large glass of chocolate milk for her empty hand. If the barista questioned her for buying two drinks he didn't say anything, Prissy retreating to one of the more reclusive booths to slide into with the drinks. Sandwiching Theodore between the wall and her seat, she glanced around to ensure the coast was clear before sliding the glass of chocolate milk over in his direction.
A quaint little basket of treats sat in the middle of the table -- sat in the middle of all of them, she soon noticed -- and Prissy was delighted at the idea of free snacks to go with their drinks. One was set next to her sweetheart's milk while she cracked one in half and slid a portion into her mouth.
"So -- is there anything you'd like to do while we're on our trip together, Teddy m'love?"

Whilst Aaliyah wasn't someone who considered herself much of a party-person, the Dormouse Cafe was still somewhere that she enjoyed dropping by from time to time, even if a lot of said drop-bys tended to happen when she was meeting up with Jane - as it was pretty much the place in which to pick up on information. Or at least the frequency of said drop-bys had happened after she had met Jane. But even when she wasn't meeting up with Jane, Aaliyah had come to appreciate the Dormouse Cafe because they had a nice array of teas and a set of biscuits on the menu that were totally moreish. She was actually on her own today, sipping at cup of tea whilst absently leafing through news websites on her phone and hadn't thought anything of the pink-haired woman that had walked past her table with a drink in each hand in the direction of one of the nearby booths– At least not until she had looked up from her phone and spotted the cat. It wasn't the hat that drawn her attention, because she knew that there were cat owners out there that liked to accessorise their felines. Instead it had been the star. At least the very brief glimpse that she had caught of the cat seemed to suggest that the cat had a star, although it wasn't as if she could get up and walk over to the booth in order to better verify it– And so she had pretended to dial a number on her phone and held it to her ear before saying loudly "Did you hear about the strange lights over at the tea house?" A pause "Yes, that tea house. Apparently it was a couple of nights ago." A second pause, as if she was listening to something someone said to her before continuing "Of course I'm sure, it came up whilst they were mentioning those people squatting in that new build that they're putting up." A frown, "No, no, not sure what it is - but lights over at the tea house when it's outside of opening hours are kind of strange don't you think." xxxNuxaz let me know if this works Nux <3

Theodore was delighted to have his milk and immediately took advantage of their seating to crawl into his mistress's lap and place his paws on the table. His tongue darted out to lap at the chocolatey milk, smacking his cops as the taste settled on his tongue.
It was purrfect.
"Well," he started, keeping his voice low just in case people were listening. He didn't want to draw much attention to them especially in a place where everyone was eyeing everyone else.
His ears twitched when he heard the green-haired girl chatting away.
"Do you hear that?" A tea shop with strange lights and...squatters?

She had heard the other woman, being a woman who was prone to gossiping herself, Prissy always seemed to have an ear out for juicy tidbits or scandalous information.
The pinkette waited until the woman was finished saying her piece on the phone before crunching down on the rest of the biscuit. The flavoring was lacking, but her drink made up for the difference.
Lights... tea house.... very interesting.
Sadly, it meant cutting their shopping time short on their adventure but wouldn't her "boss" be pleased with the details they'd uncovered! Leave it to Prissy and her noble, handsome kitten to figure out a lead already!
"I'd say we found some juicy little intel, sweethe---"
Her words were cut short by a sudden yawn, Prissy frowning as her hand flew up to cover her mouth.
Well, that was odd.

Aaliyah had pretend-chattered a little more about the tea house but had tried not to go on too long, because her goal was to try and make the fake conversation seem believable, to try and make it seem like she really was just simply chattering away. Another pause as if she was listening to someone talk to back to her and then she nodded absently, "Yes, yes we totally should" she said, trying to make it seem as if she was agreeing to something "I have some free time at the weekend, how about 1-ish on Sunday? I could look up cinema ticket times." Another pause and then she smiled "Oh? Okay lets make it half one and you can tell me all about it then. I should probably get going for now as I have homework but I'll text you in a couple of days with some times." She pretended to hang up at that point and set the phone down, absently reaching out to pour herself another cup of tea before frowning slightly as she realised that it had gone cold. Another cup seemed in order, but mayhaps as per her words it would be prudent to get it to go. She suited action to thought, slipping her phone in her rucksack with the cheerfully dangling book charm and slipping her purse out before making her way leisurely towards the counter. "I'd like to pay please" she said with a smile "And another cup of tea to go." Maybe later on she would try and catch up with Jane - although any such catch up would have to be much, much later on - and it would have to be somewhere that was most definitely not here. Nuxaz Apologies for the delay and I'll probably let this be Ali's exit unless you need her for anything else in this rp <33

Theodore's maw opened, a long yawn escaping him shortly after his Mistress yawned too. He was straining to hear what the green haired woman was saying. There was a time, he got that but he couldn't focus on much else. Instead, he had crawled onto the top of the table and curled up tightly, nestling his head on his paws and wrapping his tail around him.
"Keep listening Miss Prissy..." he started to say before another yawn got him. "We need to.."
Theodore had trailed off, his head on his paws and his eyes drooping closed. He couldn't keep himself awake and it would up to his mistress to deal with her now asleep cat.
Whoops.

Watching the small Persian curl up on the table and drift off to sleep didn't help her own weariness, Prissy's eyelids growing dreadfully heavy as she did her best to listen in on the details of the phone conversation going on nearby.
Blessedly, it came to an end, the pinkette repeating the information over and over again in her tired brain to try to keep it to memory. A quick jot on her phone for a reminder was the last thing she did before scooping up the sleeping candy prince and cradling him against her chest. Fair legs slid their way out of the booth (because Prissy was not about to let herself doze off in public) and she made her way out the door and beelined back to the hotel.
It seemed like a good time as any to take a quick little cat nap before figuring out what they needed to do with this new information.
