Baby brother and sister were sleeping, her best friend was with Ros everyone else was busy, what to do. Corazon was 'watching' her, best time to go find some fun. Nabbing treats from the Big Kitchen, one little girl raced towards the wrong direction.
Ahead, the Forest she must Never, Ever, Ever go. To be honest, it unnerved even her. However, between her and it was the marsh. The marsh had a friend!
Getting her little toes almost to the water's edge--another no-no--the child called out with all the voice control of her age group, "Asy-run! Ms Asy-run!" Sure she'd have time to play!

The adult felt both a little silly and reassured by the small pats the child gave her as the unloaded the confection from her windpipe. She offered a smile and a thumbs up once she was back to normal.
Oh waters, it seemed the child had cooked up quite the misunderstanding, in no small part directly due to the naiad's actions. 'Allie-okie' wasn't the bad one, the bad one was Asrun. Yeah... She was the one to lay the blame on. After all, she was the older one, she was the adult in the room (well, truth be told he was an adult too, but she didn't really see him like that). She couldn't face him or his family after what she'd done, so she hadn't.
"Nah, that ain't it," she lightly retorted as she accepted the second cake - how did these children put so much of the stuff away in those little bodies? "It ain't cause of Alioki that I'm not goin' over there. It's cause o' me." She reached over and ruffled the tot's hair. "'sides, where's he s'posed to eat if'n ya don't let him have dinner? It ain't good if ya make him go hungry like that. Growin' boys need ta eat all they can."

Giggling as her hair was ruffled, Pip made a 'show' of fixing it only to make it worse. Or better depending on the perspective. With a peel of laughter, she said, "Allie-okie is already big. Corazon teases him about getting bigger though." Everyone but Bestie were big, maybe her judge of it was off?
Puzzling over Asrun's delimia, the tot crossed her arms and pondered hard. This was usually the point right before 'it goes down'. This needed an expert problem fixer.
There was only one way to deliver that fix!
Clapping her hands she declared suddenly, "Story time!" Planting her hands to her side, she raised her chin up with pride, eyes closed as the moment lingered. This had to be the fourth best plan she'd ever had!
"Once upon a time, there was a naughty brother that broke a big wirly wheel! He rand oft, everyone was sad and the innocent princesses were blamed!" Theatrical horror followed every word, expressive hand motions really setting the scene. Now looking crestfallen, even the feather in her head piece drooping, "Everyone was sad." But, oh here was the good part! Practically vibrating in her seat, Pip proved that playing poker with her would be actually stealing candy from a baby.
"The innocent princesses helped fix the wirly wheel and all was better! Stupid brother never made up. Toad faced..." Where was he anyway? "See, if the wheel doesn't get fixed, everyone is sad." Moral of the story! There was no way Asrun wouldn't see it now.

"See, still a growin' boy then." She crossed her arms and nodded once.
A small smile came across the naiad's face as she brought her now-legs to her chest and wrapped her arms around them for the tot's 'story time.' It softened as the story winded down and she put her chin on her knees. "So everyone's sad 'til the wheel gets fixed, huh..." Asrun was musing mostly to herself, not asking a question, as her eyes wandered from Pip, to the water, and then back again. Then she abruptly laughed - look at her, she'd gone and worried a child over something that amounted to her pride - as she let go of her legs, crossed them underneath her, and reached over to pull Pip into her lap and a flurry of tickles. "Ain't ya kids gettin' smarter and smarter these days; Zofie doin' quite tha job teachin' y'all. Ya gonna be smarter than me 'fore I know it. Can't have that!"
As she finished her role as tickle-monster, she ruffled her hair once more before transitioning to some softer head pats. "So is this lil' princess askin' me ta go fix tha wirly wheel?"

Were boys supposed to grow wider? Asrun planted a question seed for time to water. Luckily her head was big enough for all the ideas!
Asrun earned a head tilt as she commented about the story. Oh no, the wirly wheel was all fixed up. This caused a pause as the story got investigated. Maybe adding 'far, far away' or 'long, long time ago?' Oooo, maybe 'Once upon a time?' Wrapped up in her story starting, Pip didn't notice her audience until a laugh caught her back to the real world.
Before a comment she found her self picked up and plopped in a lap. Naturally, she squealed and giggled. Sitting comfortably, her eyes turned up towards her friend. Opening her mouth, she started to say something about noises. Just then, Asrune reviewed herself to be a tickle monster! With completely different squeal, the wiggling child laughed and struggled to get away from the tickles. Calls for her mom, zofie and besty escaped between laughing.
Finally freed, the child fleed up and over a little bit. Catching her breath she shook her head before finally managing, "No, momma and daddy and blue daddy and all the others fixed it!" For the moral of the story, she added, "But the town would be very sad if the wirly wheel didn't get fixed! And two innocent sisters would have been blamed." Her pout is award winning, worthy of such an injustice. "Leaving things broken makes people sad, and gets others blamed.." Now she would see, the story was fool proof!

Oh, guess that story had been meant in the literal sense, not the metaphorical lesson Asrun thought Pip was trying to teach. Seems she'd given the young child a bit too much credits. Still, it seemed that had been her point more-or-less, if with a bit less finesse. With a wry grin, she acted like she'd misunderstood the moral and asked with a concerned expression, "Now Pip, what'd you go and break this time?" She maintained the façade while she waited for a reaction before smiling and placing her hands behind her head.
"So, long story short, you wantin' me ta go apologize an' make up with Aloki, ain't that right?"
