Darkness has at last fallen over the forest, and the last of the hunt's prisoners have been returned to their cages. All is not lost though. You and six others have elected to lay siege to the camp under the cover of nightfall, using all manner of subterfuge, magic, and sabotage available to you: stealing weapons, destroying tents, and distracting or knocking out guards. Your goal is to sew enough chaos that the camp's activities are disrupted and you can free the prisoners and escape.
Remember: stealth is key! Avoid an all out-brawl and work together to maximise your efforts.
You may only participate in this thread if you completed The Hunt!
Once per day, roll 1d6. This represents your success assaulting the centaur camp. (Higher is better!)
Input each day's result in this form. (If you do not add your score to the form, it will NOT be counted!)
If you assault the camp with one or more user, you may double your score for the day.
tab - When assaulting with other users, each user rolls 1d6 per day.
tab - Each user is responsible for submitting and doubling their own score.
To assault with another user, you must RP with them. Please list all users you are assaulting with.
A brief RP response should be included in each post, regardless of whether or not you have partners.
You can check the current Siege Progress here. It may take a few minutes to update. Progress is indicated in green.
When the Siege Progress reaches 100, the event is concluded.

RP Response: Raleigh crept up through the bushes on the perimeter of the Centaur camp. He couldn't very well leave here without the innocent people that the centaur were sure to try to eat. "Stay low" he whispered behind him, "we need to get a sense of their guarding routine. How many, how often and then we can establish a window of when the best time to attack is." He peeked through the trees, he was sure the centaur wouldn't be expecting them to come back, after all that would be crazy to most.

Amity shuffled through the bushes to the perimeter of the Centaur camp with the rest of the group, glancing around with a soft snort. "This place is bigger than I thought it'd be." She said, watching the few Centaurs visible from their stance. "I think we might be better served to split up around the bush and try to get a better sense of how big this place is, and where they're all movin'." She added, looking to Raliegh.
"I'm going to head this way," She nodded to the right of their group. "See if we can find anything interesting or helpful." Amity started to sneak through the bushes away from the group, glancing back. "Anyone's welcome to join me," She added with a sheepish grin. "But I think a couple'a smaller groups might be harder for them to track than one big one, y'know? And we might be able to confuse them if we strike in different places around the same time." With that said, Amity carried on in the bushes, keeping an eye out for any Centaurs that seemed to get too close for comfort.

RP Response: Raspbina listened to what everyone else had to say. "Several smaller groups could confuse them, if we have a good plan, so does anyone have a concrete plan?" she asked. She was so far out of her element here it wasn't even funny. She was a mechanic. She didn't know how to plan a siege. But she was good at following directions.

As they crept up through the brush closer to the centaurs' camp, Troy could hear his blood pumping through his ears. The adrenaline hadn't really left him after they found the islet in the middle of the bog and he saw the centaurs capture one of the stragglers before they all left them. To them, the hunt was over and their prey had doomed themselves to the denizens of the bog....but little did they know that the ones they had left behind weren't through with them yet. They were all laying low as they got closer to the perimeter, the naiad looking up at Raliegh when he proposed observation. "Agreed. Split up and check the perimeters, stay low and out of sight. Let's group up again in five minutes and discuss what we see, then we can come up with a stragegy." He looked to Amity as she directed which way she was going, nodding to her. "Yes, any loose weaponry that we may be able to take and anything you think we can use against them. Don't take longer than necessary or go further in. It's too risky while we're unprepared as we are." Troy looked around at everyone and addressed them. "They outnumber us, so a frontal assault is out of the question. This is a mission of stealth....and no lethal force. Let's not prove them right in their assumptions of us."

RP Response: "I'll group up with you," Tabi said to the Baphomet. After all, without her glasses, the archaeologist was not going to do any good on her own. "I think striking from many angles is a great way to accomplish our goal. And yes," she added, looking in the direction of Troy, whose voice she recognized from when he had tried to help her earlier, "more sabotage and less violence, I say. Once we're done scouting, I'm sure we'll find more than one thing we can mess up for them." She grinned, her smaller Neko fangs showing, eager for once to be the hunter rather than the prey.

RP Response: He'd remained quiet since they'd reached the island within the bog. Nods of confirmation or agreement were given when necessary, as the others spoke of trying to free the rest of their group. The idea of any of them getting eaten wasn't exactly... appealing. As it was, he had perked up considerably to the notion he could get his gear back. Though he'd nodded when Troy had specified no lethal force... well.
Cian wasn't about to place down his weapons again if it turned into a singular question of the centaurs or them.
"Any are welcome to join me," he said softly, keeping his voice--and body--low. He began to move towards the right, given others were heading to the left. The others had already given a sufficient overview of the situation--keep low, remain out of sight, and regroup in a few minutes to report what they'd seen. It was a solid plan for the moment. "We can come up with the next step after we get a better sense of what we're up against at the perimeters."

RP Response:
Amity nodded to Tabi with a smile, hunkering lower into the bushes. "Just stay low and quiet." She said, carrying on away from the main group to look over the camp from a distance. After a few paces, Amity spotted a selection of spears and a few bows, and slowed to a stop, glancing back to Tabi. "Think those might help?" She said to her softly, squinting a little. "Looks like a couple spears and at least one bow... Can't see any arrows, though."
"I'm gonna see if I can grab at least one." She said to Tabi, starting to move through the bushes into the camp proper. She barely took a step out of the bushes before she saw a centaur round towards them, and quickly shrank back into the bushes, scooting back towards Tabi quickly and covering her own mouth. Her heart was already pounding out of her chest. This... was not good.
"So maybe that was a little close..." She whispered through her fingers, clearing her throat quietly and watching until the centaur walked past them.

Raliegh nodded at Troy, he agreed completely with the plan. "Let's go this way" he whispered gesturing with his head to Troy. He then crept up closer to the camp peeking through the bushes at the edges, "I haven't seen any guards on the route have you?" He did see spears leaning against a hut, but the question was could he make it over there without being spotted?

RP Response:
Troy nodded to Raliegh and followed him as they headed off around the perimeter towards the back of the camp. "I haven't seen any, either, but that doesn't mean they aren't around." He replied in hushed tones as they looked through the brush to peer as far as they could. He saw the spears and possibly a couple of smaller blades, looking also at the tents and how they were constructed. If they could steal some of the weapons and cut some ropes to collapse the tents, that could cause some chaos and distract them. While they observed, he heard some twigs snap and rustling in the foliage, his head snapping in its direction before he grabbed Raliegh's sleeve and pulled him to duck down below the bush again. "Shh...incoming..." He watched through the leaves as a shadowy form of a centaur moved past them, very close to nudging against them, before it moved onwards back towards the forest. He waited till they passed before he looked back at Raliegh. "They're looking for us...."

RP Response: Tabi's heart was hammering. She was in awe of Amity's bravery - to go so boldly and try to steal the weapons. But it was too close a call. The Centaurs clearly patrolled their belongings well. The hybrid had a thought, and slowly turned to look at her seige partner. "What if we just destroyed the weapons?" she whispered.

Amity nodded at that, swallowing as her breathing finally slowed down, her heart no longer pounding out of her chest. "Yeah." She agreed, nodding a little. "Yeah, we should try again. Even if we can just snap a couple of those spears or bows, it gives them less to work with." Amity peered out towards the weapons again, exhaling, and looked back at Tabi.
"I'm gonna try to get over there again." She said, smiling tightly. Sure, she was terrified, and sure, they had no idea how many guards were going to rotate around that corner, but they had to try. "Keep an eye out, and don't worry." She smiled wider, and crawled forward again, peering each way before she left the safety of the bushes and bolted, quick and low, to where the weapons were standing.
Amity managed to grab a few spears, snapping the tips off of them, before she heard the sounds of hooves coming their way. Amity bolted back to the bushes, skidding on her side back under cover before another guard could spot them. She straightened up, panting, and looked at Tabi. "Well... Not much." She held up two spearheads, sheepish. "But it's two less points they've got to stab us with."

RP Response: The pair that Raspbina had followed seemed to be fairly stealthy, which she felt was a good idea. "Maybe if one of us made some noise in the opposite direction the other two could grab the weapons." Then at least they'd be armed just in case something happened, and if they were able to grab enough they could also arm the rest of the group.
