"I'm out of coffee." While a simple statement, it was the way Fawn said it that had given the evening it's wheels: 'I'm out of coffee and this is the worst thing to ever happen to me'. That poor Issac had already been roped into coming over while she worked on her homework (and perhaps he'd even get to look at his) meant he was now to be trapped with the workings of the young woman's mind. There would be no more writing until her problem was fixed. "Come on, we can hit up the All Night place down the street and be back before you know it!" For Fawn, it was an easy jaunt down the road, after all. But an outing with Fawn was never a quick venture, and she was practically out the door before she'd gotten his consent. It'd be an evening, at least.

He hadn't heard her at first.
There was an earbud in one ear as Isaac stared intently at his homework, working through his composition while listening to his classical playlist. It was the one he opted to listen to so that he could find inspiration. Instrumentals were lovely but he was crafting a lyrical piece too and was struggling over a particular rift.
It would have been something better left for home, because then he could test things on his keyboard, but Fawn had insisted that he'd come over and after the fourth text, he'd given in.
Now she was making a declaration, two actually, and by the time he realized what she'd said, she was halfway out the door.
Headphones were pulled out and set neatly atop his now closed composition book and he'd grabbed his wallet and hurried after her, not wanting to be rude and remain in her abode without her.
"Fawn, slow down."

"Hurry, hurry!" Fawn bounced from foot to foot at the door, keys in one hand and the doorknob in the other in an eager and very unaesthetic dance routine that punctuated nearly everything she did. He was barely outside when she pushed the door shut, still hopping as she locked the door (no unwanted visitors, thank you very much!). "How goes the music?" she asked, having not gotten much of an opportunity to listen in on his coursework - all the while she blazed on ahead. "Making a big hit? Gonna have your sister do something with it?" Fawn spun on one heel to walk backwards to face him as she spoke, her next question already burning in her mind as she struggled to shut up long enough to actually let him answer her.

Fawn's insistence was starting to overwhelm him, so Isaac did what he did best. He ducked his head, put his hands in his pockets, and made himself complacent. "I'm coming," he said in his softer voice, having to shuffle quickly to get out of her way when she shut the door and locked it.
How he had become 'friends' with a bulldozer like Fawn was beyond him, outside of well....the fact that Isaac was a push over who didn't like to rock the boat.
It was why he let girls approach him while he was working on homework or journaling.
"It's giving me some difficulties," Isaac admitted, falling in step behind her. "No, Jade won't have anything to do with this one. It's for class."

Continuing her backwards walk, Fawn nodded along in acknowledgement of Isaac's answers to her inquiries before turning again in an almost playful sort of march. It was a wonder what she saw in a boy like him - perhaps that he hadn't run away screaming after a week of her antics had simply been enough. "So you don't even get to do anything with it after class? That's kind of dumb," but music wasn't like food where she still got to eat things after being walked through technical preparation skills and spent her days reading about the history of garlic and how to hold a knife. Lord she owned so many knives. "What sort of difficulties?"

His pace was not nearly as quick as hers, though Isaac considered increasing his speed if only to hurry up this endeavor so that he could go home and return to his work.
Fawn was a presence in his life he couldn't ignore in the same way his sister was but sometimes he wished that she would leave him be.
"I could, if I wanted," he argued, voice soft. "It's just-- it's different when I write things specifically for Jade or I to perform." His shoulders shrugged because he didn't know how to explain it any better to Fawn who was a practical application kind of gal.
"Just issues making the melody flow."

The look on Fawn's face was as clear as any other - she really wasn't following what it was he was trying to say. "Off-brand for your restaurant, huh?" she offered in her own way of putting his words into something that had any semblance of sense before shrugging. Music was for listening as far as she was concerned. Turning, she stepped into the street - greeted by a loud honk as she'd been too focused on him (for once) to actually glance before she'd made the step. "Oi! Honk to you too, buddy!" she yelled after the offending car, tapping one foot impatiently - though there was a certain stiffness in her stance that was a usual tell to being horrendously embarrassed. Not that she'd have ever admitted it. A very kind hand gesture was also sent after the car for good measure before she again attempted to cross the street with a frantic run, spinning on one foot once she'd reached the other side to wait for him expectantly.

Isaac shrugged back, struggling to keep up with her as powered forward. When she nearly got hit by a car, he reached out reflectively-- her name on the tip of his tongue before she was yelling at the car and his arm fell back to his side.
He pushed his glasses up instead, pretending like he didn't notice the way she stiffened and held herself a little differently.
Fawn was already on the other side of the street by the time he got to a point where he could cross and he looked both ways before he hurried to catch up with her.
"Fawn, please slow down."

Fawn relented - though restlessly - to the request, half bouncing on one foot with her arms folded behind her back. "Sorry," it was given the same inflection as most of her apologies. Not that she was completely unapologetic, just that it would likely happen again. "So you working on anything besides music?" she asked, having slowed her pace down at least enough to fall into step with Isaac. It would likely only last until the next corner when excitement would grab her up again and send her running. ---- "That one has some energy to spare," she noted to the young agent she'd brought with her.

Isaac's sigh was soft in the wake of Fawn's apology. He knew that this was simply how his friend was and he wasn't inclined to try and change her, but he did wish that she was a little more considerate than she tended to be.
"No," he replied with a shrug. He had been coming up on the end of his degree which meant it was time to build pieces for his portfolio. "As I get closer to graduation I have to focus on workshopping pieces and fine tuning them." His lips pursed together.
"How is your cooking going?" Maybe if he got her talking about herself she wouldn't keep picking at him when he didn't have answers she'd find satisfactory.
Anatase was practically bouncing on her heels as she followed the intense seeming captain. The demeanor between Tantalite and Blondie was pretty startling. Tanta seemed like the type of gal to get right to business where Blondie was about showing off.
"Okay but like, T, she's not alone. Are we supposed to bag and grab 'em both?"
