Robots - Eli likes tinkering with little robots, be they LEGO, roombas, custom built, drones, what ever. Having a machine (probably a little one) do his bidding is deeply satisfying. He doesn't really know how to program, but muddles through in setting things up--he's bound to get better if he keeps at it.
Rollerblading - Go fast! Zoom, zoom! Sure, it'd be easier to just ride a bike or something, but there's something about having wheels on your feet and only our balance keeping you going. He'll do it anywhere he can, and use his scuffed up pair to get around as much as possible. A bit over the top? Maybe.
Virtues:
Driven -- Eli spots a goal: Eli shall secure that goal. He's not prone to putting things off or avoiding work when it is toward a goal to accomplish. Get him to agree to work on something, and by zod, it will be done if it's at all possible.
Easygoing -- Outside of goals, he's not too worried about things. What people think of him, what he thinks of others...no reason to get worried about these things. He'll treat everyone roughly the same unless there is very good reason to change that. It means he'll treat people he hates about as well as people he really likes...but for the most part, he's not hating at all.
Flaws:
Fixated - The downside to the desire to accomplish things is that he'll often ignore all else in the meantime. This can very quickly get in the way of meeting other commitments, doing things with people, or what have you.
Flippant -- Intentionally or not, he does not do a great job of considering what he says, and will rather often say exactly what he thinks about something, often in a joking or condescending way...but still definitely not very nice
