"Stage 3 is for those who are confident in their skills yet lack a combative ability, and they will be assigned to supervise battles and help students where needed. "
This area of the Arena is an area set aside for students to learn how to coach other students in using their powers in Stage 1 as mentors. This is so that the teachers can use their skills to protect the area and provide healing when needed. Students only move to Stage 1 as mentors when they have completed this Stage.
This stage is overseen by Jessica Deringer-Colm, as her shape-shifting abilities are for appearance and are not useful in combative settings. She teaches the students how to adapt to their skills and then use their own abilities to coach those with differing powers to their own. Students who show promise in this Stage are then promoted to Coach and given a student, or several depending on their determination, in Stage 1 fights.

Richard was sitting in his wheelchair, waiting for the students who would become Mentors to come over. There was a vast number of students there, probably close to 1,500 but he couldn't tell from just looking. These students would become the teachers, and he wanted them to know all the skills they needed. This would be a more theory-intensive class over practical, but their practical training would come into play before being officially labeled as "coaches". He would also work with the teachers of this class to put the coaching students with the right fighting students, giving everyone a chance to learn and grow.

Waylon was surprised by how many students were standing in Stage 2, but he was happy that he had Esmeralda and Meera beside him. He smiled brightly, doing his best to ignore the voices around him from ghosts and enjoy his time learning to mentor other students with a variety of skills. He had a thought of mentoring skills against his friends, and regardless of the outcome of the fighting match, he couldn't help but look forward to it. Helping others was all he wanted to do, and this would accomplish that.

I purposely stated Stanley being able to sense danger so he could mentor people like Jace, Kolya, and Alistair.

Chase waited in Stage 3 alongside a large crowd of students, but the sheer mass of those in Stage 1 got his attention. "It's going to be interesting to see who gets which students in that crowd," he joked under his breath. He looked around to see unfamiliar faces. He hoped he could make friends for the first time today, but it didn't seem to be going well. He'd have to make more of an effort to talk to people in his classes tomorrow morning.

Stanley was eager for the class, teaching being a big part of his dream job as a doctor. Danger Intuition could be used in battle, but not in an offensive way. He essentially had "Spidey Sense" and he felt more at home mentoring. He wondered if there would be anyone with similar powers to him, or those he could help. Faye knew that her power could physically alter reality, and she didn't want to cheat a match, so she decided she could use her power as a demonstrative way rather than literal. She would have to be creative, think on her toes, and she would be able to mentor properly. Mosiah, wanting to be a politician, was used to the idea of mentoring and teaching. Fighting was not his style, as he wanted to do more with his life than throw punches. This was the first class that Noelle thought she would share with her brother, and he wasn't there. She couldn't see him in the crowd, but she expected him to be standing beside her. She was always so loud and overwhelming on her own, which is why when next to her brother she seemed more gentle. All the grief she gave him and she missed him at this moment. She didn't know what she was going to do with herself. As for mentoring, she wondered how she could do so with something like technopathy, as it wasn't something for any kind of battle setting. She was unsure of how her mentoring would go after all.

Axel was ready in Stage 3 to learn whom he would be mentoring. His abilities, similar to Esmeralda's, meant he could understand any power and copy it indefinitely. He was patient and calm, knowing how things would likely turn out. But, knowing Esmeralda would be in the class he felt his cheeks grow warm. There was something about her that was so mesmerising and got his heart skipping beats.Lord, give me strengthhe thought to himself as he tried calming himself down.
Leora was eager to know who she would be helping, wondering which of her abilities she would end up using. Dream Manipulation was only best when someone was asleep, so she assumed her light manipulation would have to be used. She'd have to get creative in her teaching methods, but she knew she could do it. Wanting to be a Psychiatrist, she could do it if she put everything she learned into it. Helping people was what she was born to do.

Theodore was standing along the side, phone in hand, scrolling through as the teacher, Mister Devonshire, counted how many students were there and began calculating. Likely trying to even out who will be with which students, and some of us might be teaching in pairs or groups, he thought to himself. He adjusted his glasses with one hand before trying to see if anything had happened in the last ten minutes of class or whether this class would be organising groups more than actual work.

Vera didn't think she would be able to do anything for anyone with her abilities. They helped her and no one else, communication and memory. She hoped there would be some other role she could play, even if it was merely organising matches or acting as a volunteer for the teachers. Omnilingualism only allowed her to speak with all students regardless of a language barrier. Which worked in a way, but not as a mentor but just a volunteer. She sighed, unhappy with how things seemed to be going at the current time.

Noah made his way over to Esmeralda, who was standing alongside a reasonably tall, lanky guy with brown hair and a band shirt. He smiled and introduced himself before quickly asking Esmie how her day had gone. He hadn't seen her since lunch and had meant to text her in between classes but forgot. He felt bad and hoped she wasn't upset with him. He wondered who this guy was to her, but it wasn't his business. First and foremost, he was Esmeralda's friend and only wanted her to be happy in life. Whether or not he was potential, or they were together, he was happy.

Jessica was standing alongside Richard, both of them discussing which students would be placed in which section. She was in charge of the whole Stage 3, Richard helping her as assistant, so she had the final say. Some students had similar powers, so them teaching together made more sense than apart, although in the later part of the year they could always switch for more of an interesting match setting. There were many students who would be unable to help in any way, and they would likely be put on a panel to organise matches and keep an over-all eye on how the Magic Studies class was run. Event managers, if you will. She knew some students who would fit into that and others who would likely choose to be there after time.
#848482 // #BC987E “” Hunter was standing with Esmeralda and Axel when someone came up to talk to Esmie. Someone who clearly knew her before, but he seemed to eye Axel off slightly. A grin crept across his face, wondering how long sweet little Axel would hide his feelings for Esmeralda. They'd make a cute couple, he knew this already, but he was happy watching the pieces fall into place. He was the type of person to focus on something and ignore other things around him, so anyone trying to be his girlfriend would have a hard hill to climb. He figured it wouldn't hurt to look around, but art and music were too important to just let go.
#3EB489 // #006B3C “” Meera was mumbling something to herself, an Indian prayer for good luck. She wanted to get this over with quickly, as she looked to Area 1 and saw the Stage 1 students being grouped together. If they were going to mentor soon, they'd need to get started on....something. "𝓣𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓴 𝔀𝓮'𝓵𝓵 𝓽𝓪𝓴𝓮 𝓵𝓸𝓷𝓰𝓮𝓻 𝓽𝓸 𝓰𝓮𝓽 𝓼𝓸𝓻𝓽𝓮𝓭?" she joked quietly to not offend anyone else around her.
#A2A2D0 // #12048F “” Brycin chortled to Meera's comment, "𝓘 𝓭𝓸𝓾𝓫𝓽 𝓲𝓽. 𝓣𝓱𝓮𝔂'𝓻𝓮 𝓰𝓸𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓽𝓸 𝓫𝓮 𝓾𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻𝔀𝓪𝔂 𝔀𝓲𝓽𝓱 𝔀𝓱𝓪𝓽 𝓽𝓱𝓮𝔂'𝓻𝓮 𝓭𝓸𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓫𝓮𝓯𝓸𝓻𝓮 𝔀𝓮 𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓷 𝓰𝓮𝓽 𝓽𝓸 𝓭𝓸 𝓪𝓷𝔂𝓽𝓱𝓲𝓷𝓰. They were just standing there, scrolling through phones and having chats with friends standing in line. In fact, looking around, it was just a bunch of sorting going on. It was strange to see.
Alda was standing there with her headphones in, listening to Icelandic music, bored out of her mind. She wanted to be in her room, snacking away on what she bought from IKEA and enjoying her pole-dancing fitness routine she always did before bed. She wanted to be moving, or doing something at least, and she hated standing still doing nothing.

Kimora fixed her afro while she was waiting in line for the students to be organised to do something. Each and every student seemed like they wanted to be elsewhere and she couldn't blame them. She'd rather be putting in extra study to be on top of her assignments, even though they'd only been briefly mentioned in her classes. She was always the type of person to hand things in early, analysing each and every word to ensure perfection.
Esmeralda smiled as she followed the crowd to stage 3. She wasn't sure what use she would actually be as a mentor but she was willing to try and learn through this. She waved to Axel and Hunter as she approached him with Waylon an Meera and smiled when Noah joined them. "My classes have been really good. Noah this is Hunter, Axel, Waylon, and Meera. Guys this is my friend Noah" She said with a smile and shrugged to Meera's question. "Not sure. There seem to be a lot of us. I'm not sure how they plan on sorting us" she admitted.
#848482 // #BC987E “” "𝓟𝓵𝓮𝓪𝓼𝓾𝓻𝓮 𝓽𝓸 𝓶𝓮𝓮𝓽 𝔂𝓸𝓾," Hunter said. He was still grinning from watching the reactions before, but wanted to be nice. There were people around him reacting in one of two ways; disgust over his tattoos and clothing style, or attraction over his looks. He rolled his eyes and focused on his friends, as they were more important. Nothing was going on at the moment, no discussion, no nothing, so he wasn't in any hurry.
#3EB489 // #006B3C “” "𝓘 𝓫𝓮𝓽 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓲𝓽'𝓼 𝓰𝓸𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓽𝓸 𝓫𝓮 𝓰𝓻𝓸𝓾𝓹 𝔀𝓸𝓻𝓴," Meera teased. There was something that told her it was going to be the case and she assumed it was her empathy, as her astral projection had little effect on reading a room. She wouldn't mind whatever it was, but she wondered who she would end up with if that was the case.
Brycin laughed at Meera's comment, "𝓑𝓮𝓽 𝔂𝓸𝓾 𝓪𝓵𝓵 𝓶𝓪𝓰𝓲𝓬 𝓾𝓼𝓮𝓻𝓼 𝔀𝓲𝓵𝓵 𝓫𝓮 𝓹𝓾𝓽 𝓲𝓷𝓽𝓸 𝓰𝓻𝓸𝓾𝓹𝓼." Magic users were common across the campus, but the amount of magic was something vastly different. He had a limited amount of control, but others would have more and some even less than he did. He hoped one day he could empower himself more, but so far it seemed impossible. He had to love himself for who he was, even with the flaw of magic control.

"Alright, students. Let's get started before we lose too much time. We are going to group you guys up in teams of 3 according to similar powers, or those that work well together. Your groups will then be given 5 students from Arena 1 and you will learn their powers and strengths. From then on, we will teach you how to mentor them based on their powers, and they will fight on their own for a time. Once everyone is settled in to their roles, the real fun begins," Jessica exclaimed to the crowd.

Theodore looked to Miss Deringer-Colm when she began talking. Grouping people with similar powers together could work, or it might not, but it wasn't his place to say. He just wanted to pass this class, and to do so meant putting everything he learned into teaching correctly. Who would he be with when his power was learning the history of an object through touch? Would he even be able to mentor like that, or would be be put into a roll of supervising the fights?

Vera instantly knew she'd be getting the students who coudn't speak English, as her power of omnilingualism would come into play then. Who she would be paired up with, she didn't know, but she was willing to find out. She had a gut feeling she would have to drop her minors already, because hearing a language meant she'd know it. She told herself she would have to meet with the Admin team after class to discuss moving subjects.

"Oh, this should be fun. I wonder if we'll be in the same group. I hope so, it would be a lot of fun to do a group project with you, since this is the only class we share," Noah said to Esmeralda after Mrs Deringer-Colm spoke. He looked around at the groups of friends and knew most of them would be separated, but it was an inevitability. His powers of disease detection and mental healing couldn't be very useful, but he didn't know what else was going to happen. He wanted to be in a group with Esmeralda, but who knew what the outcome would be. Only time would tell.

Axel listened when the teachers called out the groups. He was a little sad that he wasn't going to be with Esmeralda, but there wasn't anything he could do about it now. He had been introduced to Waylon before, through Esmie, and Chase was a newcomer to him. He smiled and introduced himself, moving into his group and waiting for further instructions. They had not been told who they would be mentoring yet, so he was curious to know who he would know in that group.
Leora walked to her group and looked at the people around her. Fayelyn seemed to be normal, sweet and nice with feminine charm, but she was a little scared of Hunter. Tall and covered in tattoos and a tattered shirt, he didn't seem to have his life together, but who was she to judge. She introduced herself and realized they shared most of their classes together, knowing one another already. With the powers between them--future illustration, light manipilation, and ink manipulation/telekinesis--she wondered who on Earth they would be mentoring.
