 King had hunted and fed himself early in the day. Then he followed it with a nap on a stump. Now he was in the part of the woods where the rotting remains of two leg stuff and house lay. He jumped about on the cracked thunderpath over grown with weeds and batted a small rock about. " And take that you foul beast!" King shouted slamming the small rock with his paw at a metal trash. The sound echoed back at him as the rock hit the back of it. "You dare roar at me beast?!" King said fluffing his fur up even larger then normal and jumping at the trash can like he was going to fight it as he laughed a bit at himself. He was having fun but even he could admit this was silly, but he was alone right so no harm done!

Clang! Clang! Clang! That annoying sound kept ringing in her ears. Biting her tongue, the she-cat flattened her ears back and trudged towards the sound. Was it the foxes again? Her twolegs just recently caught a few and saw them get taken away back to the wild.
She circled her den, close to the thunderpath, but didn't see any of those foul beasts. Clang! Clang! Clang! Hmm? Kitty started following the sound, where it started getting louder and louder.
She was baffled when she saw the cat throwing rocks at the trash can. "...are you crazy?" She called out, jogging towards the stranger.

King jumped a bit and stared at the trash can a moment before sneaking up and batting it with a paw. "Did you just talk two leg beast?" King stared at it before noticing an extra shadow on the ground. He traced the shape of the shadow to a pretty she cat behind him. Well for once he actually felt silly and flicked his tail in a manner that would show just that
"I have on occasion been accused of being such...so quite possibly." If cats could blush this would be his time. He then swiped a paw and just slightly bowed to the cat before him. "Excuse my frivolities my lady. My name is King it is a pleasure to me you Lady........." King looked up to her waiting to her her name.

Kitty rose a brow when the tom stopped his horsing around and introduced himself. Just the words that he was using, and the way that he was presenting himself to her... pretentious. She however, decided she had the time to kill to play along.
"King. My, what a grand name to a royal tom like yourself," she said, taking a step closer to him. "I didn't mean to startle you, nor the beast that you were trying to slay, but if I may ask, where are your royal guards? Surely with a kingdom under siege, the mighty ruler had his comrades amongst him?"
She gave a quick look at him, and knew that he probably was not a kittypet. Unlike herself. "Kitty. Kitty's my name."

King's curled ears perked he was not used to others calling him anything past crazy honestly. He then gave a hearty chuckle. "Oh well thank you for acknowledging my royal stature." He puffed his chest out just a bit.
King then frowned at the mention of the royal guards and he turned a bit to look at the trash can he was fighting. He quickly recovered from his lonely feelings and laughed once more. "My dear lady I am a warrior King I will not send my cats to do something I will not do myself. This beast I can handle on my own so cats in my kingdom may rest with ease." He laughed though he wasn't completely mad he had only been pretending like a kit.
The tom before her then looked a little confused by the name. "Well my lady if you do not want me to have your real name that is fine you only have to say so not be so sarcastic." He laughed a bit. "Kitty is a two leg word for cat if I am not mistaken. I do not associate with two legs, but I have encountered them and their words." King said with a nod.

Kitty silently rolled her eyes when the tom started getting cocky with her praise, but then also noticed that he did hesitate afterwards.
"So what is it that you do in your kingdom? Seems like a big world out there. Do you have any interesting stories to tell?"
When he started commenting about her name -- doubting her name -- thinking that she was hiding her name -- her ears immediately flattened and tail poofed large. "No, my name's actually Kitty." she spat, curling her tongue, trying to avoid already attacking him. She then flattened her fur, trying to relax once more. "I too, have encountered them and their words. I have learned to communicate with them too. Quite the dumb creatures, but they do their share."

"Well...to be honest I am currently a wandering King, my Kingdom is where I set it up to be for now. But, I am questing for the perfect stump in which to place my final kingdom." King confessed and seemed to think for a moment. "My stories so far seem rather mundane. No heroic deeds have I come upon, no damsels to rescue, there had been fights but none were glorious. Most were me just defending myself." King frowned and his tail dropped. "The only stories I could tell you of note would be fairy tales. But I am quite good at telling those." He seemed to perk up just a little.
King flattened his ears and poofed a little at her suddenly show of agression but more out of surprise then anything. "I'm so sorry!!" King gave his paw a lick trying to get himself to unpoof a bit. "I meant no offense Lady Kitty. I was just confused." King explained.

Kitty slightly jumped back when the tom poofed. She really did not expect that! "No, no! I'm the one who should be sorry!" she pleaded.
A wandering king without a kingdom. So he was... just a loner? How dramatic he was being. "So... you have a stump fetish." She could not imagine that. "My kingdom is full of feather beds, some sort of soft dirt (carpet) to laze around in, and other comfortable things that are all mine," she purred. "That sounds way better than just having a stump, if you'd ask me."
"Don't you get tired of looking for your kingdom?" she asked, starting to sit down. She remembered many stories of the wild cats getting killed. It would be a shame if King was their next victim. Being a kittypet, on the other hand, gave Kitty a better standing with the twolegs. She was accepted by them.
Kitty eyed the trash can, and leapt on top of it. "Tell me about these tales you speak so high of. I don't have to be back home until sundown anyways."
