Stillwaterite’s arc, leading into her purification. Still’s a dynamic, entertaining character throughout the whole plots, with highs and lows on her journey to self-discovery. For a woman with a lost sense of identity, she nevertheless has a strong character that reads through in all of her threads, from the more upbeat to the feelsy gut punchy threads. My heart hurts for Machine, but it also soars for impending Sedna/Brr. A++ would heartbreak again”

Following Sedna/Stillwaterite's story has been amazing. I love that you've been able to see her develop from what was once an outgoing, bold person into a cautious one that keeps most of her cards close to her chest. I love the arc that she went through, and I honestly can't wait to see how her story continues.”

Faustite is a perfect example of all the visceral and terrifying things half-youma can be, and really sets the bar for the sorts of unsettling you can be in the Negaverse. That said, Strickenized always juxtaposes this portrayal with a surprising and raw discussion of the consequences of bringing a sheltered, spoiled child into war, and for all his smoke and flame he still has these teenage-boy moments that are highly empathetic. The combined effect is tragic and wonderful, and I admire the dedication to such a well-crafted narrative.”

“Scholomance- He’s got a fun personality and an interesting wonder, but I think the thing that stands out most about him to me is that he showed that seriously maiming your character can be a good option that can lead to interesting plot rather than stifling it. Like a ton of Nyx’s characters, too. Like with Kuro, I HAVE MAD RESPECT to Nyx for playing a ton of characters and making it a point and effort to cycle through them all so that they each get their time to grow. Off the top of my head, ones that stand out are
Mintaka for being a DMC veteran and for Nyx’s dedication to working with the DMC as a faction through Mintaka. Next is
Lace, because it’s a delight to read a character who is quite literally scared of her own shadow, shy, timid, but utterly sweet. Next,
Pyrophanite, because not at Negaverse agents are always completely competent and the perfect soldier. I have always loved how Pyro was a little thug with a bad attitude who skated by a lot, and then went through some drastic changes because of his merger with his youma. Also, the Zircon / Pyro dynamic is A+. My favorite hateship. Also my favorites: all the Vetrovs (but freezer Brrrn is the best). Enough said.”

Zircon~ I just find everything she does to be engaging and she’s so well written ;; Her story has come just a long way and it’s been really interesting to see it all unfold. From past-life stuff to present-day, I can’t wait to see what else she has in store and honestly Ami is just so great as a person that it makes Zircon even better somehow XD”

All of Ami’s characters. Like Ivy, Ami is also someone who has the capacity to make every character of her’s equally compelling and memorable. Big love for
Chauvet / Katie, especially as a character who struggles with coming out about her secret identity, and explores the pressure and burden of being a knight. Also for just how freaking hilarious she is. I love reading every Chauvet post.
Of course, also
Zircon. There’s so much to be said for Zircon, but what I admire most is Ami’s dedication to playing a character who nearly has 0 redeeming qualities at the moment. Zircon is the embodiment of bitterness, fear, drive, and dedication of a soldier who has long been in the service of a cut throat military and fights to stay there. That, is an incredibly hard thing to consistently play in my opinion, so I have much respect and love for it.”
“Zircon - What can you say? Flock mama is best mama. Her story is still going but man, it's been really fun to watch her get so ANGRY. I just love how quick she reacts to things.”

Sei’s
Encke. I think I was told Encke has been around for nearly 10 years? The fact he’s been around that long creates a deep history that has influenced his character greatly, and yet despite being around that long, he was in no way grown stale personality wise. Encke is an utter DELIGHT to interact with, from his sassy attitude, to his actions. I also admire Sei’s commitment to writing a character who has strong prejudices and continues to hold true and act on them. That’s hard to do sometimes!
Also
Nembus! I also just love the dedication to writing a corruption story that isn’t the character being content with memory loss and how they ended up there. I appreciate Sei’s drive to exploring the effects of coping with memory loss and the question of identity it brings up when one loses all memories. Super excited to read how Nembus’ story plays out!

Nembus[b]Shikora[b/], because someone taking the time to play a character who is an empathetic psychologist in DESTINY CITY is the type of hero we need.

“Xibalba- At first glance he’s just a loud Scottish man in a Mars themes kilt who likes to insult Negaverse agents while punching them, which is both hilarious and deeply satisfying in its own right. Then I read some of his other RPs and he also cares deeply for those around him which hit me in the feels a little.”
