Docs Log, backdated to late August 2018

Quote:
Nagyágite enjoyed stalking the back alleys of Destiny City. He hadn't bene best pleased, initially, about his transfer there from Hyderabad, but from everything he had come to find, it was the absolute best possible move. There were others like him here, other officers who had become half-youma through mistake or chance, and far more resources on the thing his General in India had made him into.

Here, there was no reason even to pretend to be Jaidev Vaswani, because Jaidev Vaswani might as well be dead. No one in America was looking for a missing Indian MMA athlete. That was....freeing. He could embrace everything he had become and not worry about what he had been.

Tonight, he prowled after a pretty blonde, in the hopes of draining her for the energy that fueled him now that he was no longer fully human. He could eat, of course, but energy was so much more...life sustaining. Perhaps if he was very lucky, he would even be able to convince her to give it up without a fight, one way or the other.

Quote:
It was a work night--morning?--the only reason Felicity would even glance at the creepy alleys and not mind walking the blaring lit streets alone. A dark leather purse was strung over her shoulder, wide and deep and full of her high heels, costume, and random bits that, in her humble opinion, anyone needed to carry in this city. That included a taser, though hers was cute and pink and attached to her purse in the form of a cute accessory that could be easily clipped off, flicked on, and used to pump an offending figure full of volts.

Denim shorts hugged her upper thighs and bared the majority of the snake's figure wrapped around her left leg, a baggy silky tank exposing the high-end sports bra underneath that had little business managing that load. Strappy sandals smacked the sidewalk as she fussed with her mass of waves and curls. Stupid heat. Stupid humidity. At least the club had the air conditioner on full blast. The nights were ok for now, but just... ew.

Sooner she got home, sooner she could recline in electrical powered cooling bliss.

But her pace wasn't as clipped and insistent as it always was. Passing alleyways, she slowed ever so much, glancing down towards the collected bodies of shadows that swirled in her vision and formed figures and made her perk up. She almost wanted trouble, really. Trouble meant she might see that badass lady again. Trouble meant she might get to ask more questions and see those pretty gems again.

Mixed feelings when she felt the hair at her nape prickle rebounded nonetheless. Never knew when that weird a** feeling of being watched was a creepy one, or a fun one.

Well. There were few things that gave Nagyágite pause in his aims to drain someone of energy, but a better look at the lovely blonde he'd been following did. Not that he was excessively weak to a pretty face, but he was frankly of the opinion that it wasn't weakness when the pretty face was attached to a body like that, and one that was clearly being shown off.

Besides, she didn't look afraid, and he was almost certain she'd at least caught a glimpse of something in the darkness. Anyone in this city who wasn't afraid if the dark was either very stupid or very brave.

For the sake of his own entertainment, Nagya hoped it was the latter.

He moved from shadowed alley into light, and gave a raised eyebrow to her back.

"Not to be cliche, but what is a pretty thing like you doing in a place like this? Especially this late and all alone?"

Shadows danced and teased, but they never detached or reformed into something solid. Not in front of her, anyways. The voice was loud enough on the empty street to make her pause. She didn't harbor the silly thoughts of, who, me?

Who else would they be speaking to? More importantly, who else would be accurately referred to as a pretty thing around here?

Felicity cocked a hip as she turned slightly at the waist to get a better look over her shoulder. Gave a small toss of her head to move the pale curtain out of her way.

She'd expected a figure that suitably accompanied the deeper tone of the voice. She'd expected a masculine sort. It was just her experience and, she'd admit, her bias. A coy little who me? look was placed delicately across her features, big blue eyes ready to bat lashes if she liked the cut of the figure and the face. Ready for all that to switch to civil chilly if she didn't.

The pouty pursed lips parted though on a sharp intake of breath. Innocently wide eyes turned to shock. Felicity stared unabashed at the being behind her.

"Oh," she said, the word almost entirely composed of an awed exhale. The idea of having check boxes in terms of preferences for eye candy was not an exclusive concept by far. Certainly, she was sure the wide shoulders and dense arms highlighted by the short vest would check a lot of peoples' boxes. Not to mention he was tall, so check. Dark skin, blonde dreads? Not a thing she thought she'd approve of, but oh, my, that's a new check. It looked wonderful on him.

But the main, and biggest check marks on her mental list danced along his hairline, cheeks, brow, shoulders, and cut thick and wide down his neck and abdomen. In the artificial light of the street lamp, the costume looked fantastic and she gave immense credit to whatever makeup artist constructed this.

Still blind-sighted, Felicity turned fully to face him, marveling yet at his state. "Heading home from work, of course," she answered with a dismissive wave of her hand and warm smile blooming across her lips. Her eyes took on a faux innocent gleam as she tapped the pink-glossed skin with a long nail. "Why else would you expect to see a pretty thing in a place like this?" She hummed and returned, "What brings a serpent to this part of the urban jungle? Surely you have prettier gardens to hunt in."

Well. It was good to see that even with his new, monstrous form, Nagyágite could still turn a woman's head and leave her breathless. Perhaps not so surprising; he still had the same handsome face and fighter's body he'd had as Jaidev, and frankly, if The Shape of Water was any guide, the monstrous additions might just be as much bonus as deterrent, if it was the right woman.

This, he hoped, was the right woman. He let his eyes drag over her figure, very obviously, and they especially lingered on the serpent tattoo he could see curling up her leg. The right one indeed.

He strode towards her, hands open to show that he wasn't armed and that she wasn't in any danger, because for the moment, she wasn't. He was more interested in seeing how long she'd be willing to dance with a serpent than in draining her energy, now. Energy could come from any idiot on the street, but the ego boost of the way this woman was looking at him was a rare blessing, and it would be a waste to drain her and disappear into the night.

Besides, there were genuinely terrible things in the dark. He'd hate to leave her at the mercy of something nastier than him.

"You must work a unique job, andaṅgā pāmu, to be walking home from work so late. You must also be a very brave woman to do it alone. Surely you're aware that there are terrible things in Destiny City." He grinned, broadly and more than a little confidently. "As for me....let's say I'm out hunting, and I found something more interesting than prey."

He gave her one more once over. "You can call me Nagyágite, and I would love a name to call you. 'Beautiful' will do, but only for so long."
