Chibi Sailor Cygnus no longer knew what it meant to be a hero. Maybe he had never figured it out, despite his best efforts to emulate the characters he loved so very much in his comic books and television shows. He did have powers, that was true enough, but he was useless.
With a sphere like Fear, he supposed it only made sense that he had no real business in saving people. He was probably better at running away and hiding, like he used to do anyway.
After all, even with super powers, he was unable to do anything about his brother going missing. He could not help his family and the pain they were going through. He could not do a thing to make his mom and dad feel better. All he could do was feel anger. Anger that he was gone. Anger that Cygnus himself was unable to do anything about it.
That he didn't even know why. Or what happened. Did it matter? The end was the same. He was gone, and the Finch family was down one member. The hole was impossible to ignore, and everything was different now. Painful. Nothing felt like it fit, and he certainly had no will to keep doing what he was doing, when it was proven to be pointless.
If he couldn't protect his family, then why should he care about anyone else?
Yet here he was, powered up, sitting on the roof of his favorite toy store, as if he was aiming to patrol. Maybe he would just ignore any chaos he felt, and tell himself he was making some sort of point. Spite was a motivator, if nothing else.
Just what he was trying to prove, though, was beyond him.

The captain's breath fogged in the cold air as he made his way along the sidewalk away from the busy hustle and bustle of down town and out towards the outskirts where the streetlights were fewer and far between and the restaurants and bars gave way to shops and other privately owned businesses. It was the end of his night, quota full and body tired and cold. He was making a last walk about as he waited to hear back from Amphitrite to see if she was up for company for the evening. He hadn't felt much by way of auras that night. It was cold, colder than it had been earlier that week, and maybe folks had opted to stay in rather than brave the chill. With his heavy jacket, lined with soft black fur, Nissonite was better suited to it than some. A throw back from his time as a Mercury knight. The appearance of an aura on the edge of his senses was an unexpected turn, but it made him pause, head turning in the direction the brightness seemed to be coming from. Curiosity propelled him towards the little niche toy store sitting on the corner of the far street, pale eyes turned up to the roof, because if it were him, that's where he'd be camped out and waiting.

Cygnus felt an aura approaching him, and it sent a shudder down his spine. Stronger than most, but not the strongest. Probably a second stage whatever they were called. He found he did not really care enough to put a name to the rank or the aura, but he did have a strong urge to go over to it and punch it.
Chaos was probably the reason everything bad that ever happened was, in fact, happening, so why not punch it like it deserved?
Sure, he was technically just a first stage Chibi senshi, but things like that did not really occur to him in his quest for justice. He leaped down from the roof of the toy story, landing half awkwardly on the sidewalk and wincing a bit . Could have done that better. He looked at the Captain, a little taken aback by the white hair and blue clothes.
But he didn't know this guy. Nothing in his brain clicked beyond the initial startle of familiarity. In fact, looking at him, it made Cygnus feel strangely... hollow.
"You're on my turf," he said, folding his arms over his chest in his classic pose of stubborn brattiness, "So go away."

A cold smile slid across the captain's lips as the senshi left their hiding place voluntarily to face him, but it faltered as he got a good look at him. Young, very young, with a shock of pail hair cut in a mohawk and bright blue eyes. Why do they have children fighting for them? What ******** up bit of space magic had allowed that to happen? And did he have to look so familiar? The smile was gone by the time the chibi senshi had confronted him, and Nissonite lifted both arms to cross them loosely across his chest, mirroring the kid, the soft glow of the never-go-out bright against the black of his shirt and the dark blue of his vest. "You think you've got the strength to keep this territory?" It was incredulous, half amused. "I don't." He hand't been looking for a fight, but there as something about him that rankled. Something the captain couldn't quite place his finger on.

Cygnus growled, clenching his fists and looking the Negaverse soldier over. Who did he think he was, anyway? It startled him to realize he...
No way.
"Who are you? Why are you here? You're just trying to upset me, aren't you? Some sort of trick?"
Why else would he look, and sound, and feel so much like the brother Cygnus had lost not too long ago. Long enough now to feel like an eternity, but in the scheme of things Cygnus was still the same, weak, helpless kid as he always had been. Still no better off to help anyone, or find him, than he had been when he first started. Except now he was just angry at everything.
And with good reason, if this...
No, it couldn't be. He was too strong. He would never let himself get caught. He would never betray them, either. No, this was a trick. Someone was trying to hurt Cygnus by using what he was most hurt by against him. Obviously. They could do that, right? They were evil. They could do anything.
Even take someone's family from them.
"Who are you?!"

Pale brows dipped at the allegation, his head cocking to one side as he looked down at senshi. It seemed he'd managed to strike a cord somehow, but Nissonite couldn't fathom what. He'd never seen this kid before, not to his knowledge. Unless they'd met before... "Captain Nissonite," he answered curtly, features cold and unrecognized. The scar on the side of his jaw standing out starkly beneath the streetlight that illuminated the circle of sidewalk they were standing in. "I don't know you, kid." Even if there was something niggling about him. "I don't care enough to bother trying to trick you."

Cygnus frowned, but he didn't believe this stranger with a familiar face. Even as he listened, he felt like he was talking to his brother. The voice, the hair, the eyes: even his outfit... it was all too much to take in. The more he looked, the longer he listened, the more he could not deny how very similar this Captain and the memories of his brother really were. Was he just that desperate? Willing himself to see a similarity so he could have some hope of getting him back? And was this really what he wanted? Could being corrupted be better than dying, or was it worse? Now he had to fight his own brother, after all: if it was really him, they were on the opposite sides of the war now. "You... you're lying!" Cygnus struggled to say through gritted teeth. He charged forward suddenly, pulling his arm back and yelling as he charged forward. "Give me back my brother, you b*****d! Give me back Axton!!!" He leaped into the punch, not just to compensate for their height difference, but to get the momentum and throw his everything into the attack. He swung is fist for Nissonite's jaw, screaming his attach while he did so. "Feel my fear, you big jerk!!!" Quote: Sailor Scout Attack: Feel My Fear Cygnus creates a cloud of smoke that evaporates in the air. The area around him becomes infected with this gas, which makes a person's body react like it is experiencing a strong dose of fear. The effect radius is immediately around Cygnus, branching out to about five feet in any direction, and lingers in the air for ten seconds before it vanishes. If breathed in, the effects of the gas last for up to twenty seconds.

The accusation the young senshi growled out through clenched teeth seemed sharper than the situation called for it, and Nissonite couldn't quite help responding to it. His arms loosened and lowered to his sides, cool features hardening as he stared down at the familiar kid standing in front of him. But it was the word brother dropped into the tension between them that had the bigger man's lips drawing back from his teeth. But the kid was on him, jumping to throw a wild punch at his face and Nissonite staggered back a step at the blow connected, snarling under his breath as he snapped a hand out to try to catch one of the senshi's arms through the sudden fog of magic, his weapon coming to chilly life in the other. The chain rattled as he closed his fingers around it but the ice ball at the end hit the pavement with a distinctive smack. He froze though, whether he managed to grab the senshi or not, body tense and chest tight. It felt like a wave of overwhelming fear had washed over him, but sourceless and infuriating. Who the ******** is this? How did he know his former name? Was this actually Victor? It looked like him, superficially. Sounded like him. But the senshi weren't above tricks. If the Negaverse had a database, then Order probably had one too, and he didn't doubt there was an entry in there about himself. All of this spiraled through his head as the fear held him rigid, and the thought of some callous senshi trying to leverage his family as a weapon against him just pissed him off.

Cygnus was stopped short when the much stronger Captain caught him by the arm, but at least he had managed to land a solid hit to his stupid familiar face. He hated looking at it, knowing there was Chaos painting it now. He was either a terrible impostor or, worse, actually Ax.
It was hard to know which was more painful in that moment, hot tears blinding him and streaming down his face.
"Let go of me! Don't touch me!"
He jerked his arm away with as much strength as he could muster. He was furious, but more than that he was hurting. He saw his brother in this guy, and it made losing him feel so much worse. The pain cut through him, no knife ever so painful, no magic hitting him as hard before. He was furious, he was miserable, and he was thoroughly scared.
What if this was Axton? What if the negaverse had taken him away? Made everyone think he was dead, but really just stole him away. It was impossible, his brother was far too strong for that, and yet... that doubt, that creeping terror. It clung to Cygnus like a parasite, and he could not shake it now that it had burrowed its way inside his heart and mind.
"I'm not afraid of you!" He heard himself yelling, but he was not listening to what he was saying. He just wanted to yell. He just wanted to scream. "I'm not afraid of Chaos or anything! I'll stomp you all out!"
To emphasize his point, he attempted to stomp on Niss' foot.

He didn't let go, not even as the fear finally began to recede. Instead his grip on the young senshi's arm tightened until it was bruising, and he jerked the kid in closer so they were face to face. "You need to learn when you're in over your head, kid," he hissed back at him, anger bubbling up inside him until he couldn't feel the early spring chill anymore. Until his skin ran warm and color crept up his neck and into his face. Then the kid was stomping on his foot and Nissonite swore loudly, twisting the arm he was holding painfully until he had it turned up against the young man's back. Then he shoved him, hard. Stepping back himself as he gripped the chain of his weapon and hoisted up the icy. "You've got one chance to leave before my patience runs out and I stop seeing you as a dumb kid and start seeing you as the ******** senshi you are." It came out like venom, and with a c***k of the chain the heavy ball started to spin beside him.

Cygnus felt a sharp pain in his arm and tried not to yelp as the Negaverse Captain twisted it further so he was forced to turn around. He had seen this in his comic books before, but had never quite understood why it seemed to hurt them so badly. Now he got it, and did not doubt how effective a hold it was when someone really wanted to keep someone else in place.
He was afraid to move his arm, in case he managed to snap it just trying to escape.
Thankfully, he was freed from the hold and being so dangerously close to his opponent when Nissonite shoved him away. He stumbled and failed to keep his balance, landing hard on his knees. It took him a stunned moment to get up, still favoring his arms. He turned to look at Niss, face scrunched up in anger and pain and hatred, but tears were stinging his eyes. His brother would never hurt him, no matter what.
"Whoever you are, you're not my brother. Ax would never become someone like you! You're nothing compared to him! And when I find him, I'm going to come back and crush you for your stupid tricks!" He did not believe himself as he spoke, tears running down his face, his words coming out between pained gasps. He felt like his chest was going to collapse, the weight of his discovery trying to settle there.
Shutting his eyes, not wanting to look at the Captain any more, Cygnus turned on his heels and ran as fast as he could away from the now painfully familiar face.
