It was a gorgeous, if cold, night out patrolling, and Cheomseongdae wished that the 'scarf' her outfit came with was a little more solid then wispy, and maybe that the outfit had SLIGHTLY LESS metal to it. It kind of was cold, really, all that metal, especially that part that held the shawl scarf thing together right over her... Well never mind. She needed to focus on her patrol, rather then how cold she was. She was moving through a park, keeping her senses open, seeking out signs that there were Chaos agents running around nearby... She really hoped not, she wasn't feeling at her most confident tonight... And also checking for signs of a civ who had already been unfortunate enough to meet one. The last thing she needed was a dead civ on her patrol route, and that would be a nightmare for her for the rest of her life, she suspected. She had enough nightmares, honestly, between her parents and the things she'd dealt with. She did not need more. She also had a feeling, like it or not, more was on the schedule, long term. She paused, and got a sense of a fellow member of Order nearby, and smiled a little, turning towards it. She found that she wanted to meet the others of Order, in the hopes of knowing who were her allies, who she could call on... And who wasn't the most reliable, too.

Cygnus did not find much to look at as far as the night went. To him, it was just dark and cold and that was the end of it. There was nothing pretty or wonderful about it, no matter what time of year it was or how clear the sky was or how bright the stars wanted to shine. Darkness was darkness, and it made him grumpy.
Moreso than he had been, as of late.
He had lost touch with a lot of what used to make being a super hero interesting and fun, and now he felt like he had a job when he was just a kid. It was stupid, and he felt a resentment building inside him that he did not really recognize. How could he hate a gift that was given in answer to one of his ultimate wishes? He had always wanted to be a hero, to be like the comic books, and yet somehow...
He failed. That was the only explanation. These powers were meant for someone else, or would at the very least be better used by someone else. He was a terrible hero. In fact, he was pretty sure he never really saved anyone.
So what was the point?
Grumbling to himself, he felt the aura of someone nearby and ignored it. He did not care. Let them come pick a fight with him if they wanted, or they could just go on their way and keep pretending to be making a difference in the world, or whatever it was they believed in. Like he cared. Just as long as they did not try to drag him into a patrol.
He did look up when he felt her aura get closer, though, and spotted her not too far away. He stared at her, arms folded over his chest, but he made no real effort to say hello.

Cheomseongdae almost pulled up and went back, when she saw the child ahead of her. Well, young teen, perhaps... But young, so very young, and she found herself aching to think of someone so young having to fight battles like this against evil. She had no idea of what all he had experienced, but just seeing him triggered the memories of when she took care of her brother, and protected him from nightmares and so on. There was a moment where she just wanted to run over and give the child a hug, pull him in and tell him it would be ok... That crossed arms pose was just so protective-defensive, and she hated seeing young kids feel that way around her. She would do so much to protect a child. She controlled that urge, too, and instead approached in a more slow fashion, a small, shy smile on her face. When she was in range to speak to him without shouting, and thus risking unwanted attention from civilians down below, she spoke. "Hey there... I'm Cheomseongdae, fairly new around here. I was hoping to... Talk maybe?" She hoped he would not just outright reject her. Maybe she could get him to open up, talk to her about why he was so defensive with her. Maybe she could help him, if it was anything like what she had gone through when she was younger... But first they had to talk, so she could try to help him open those walls up.

Cygnus watched her, frowning as she slowed and walked up to him. He glared at her, though he had no reason to be mad at her and she had done nothing wrong. He was mad at everything and nothing all at once, and that anger made him angrier somehow.
It was all very complicated, and he did not try too hard to understand it. Really, it just boiled down to him wanting one thing that he could not have.
"Talk about what?" He asked gruffly, eyes flashing. When older folks wanted to talk, it was usually to tell him that he should not be out so late on his own, or something else that was kind but condescending to the young, stubborn, inexperienced crime fighter. All he wanted to do was get away from how bad his house made him feel, and how empty everything felt when he powered down. Powering up offered very little, but it was something.
Better than nothing.
"What sort of a name is that? Can I call you something else? My name is Cygnus, but that's not very hard to say. It'll take an hour to talk about anything if I have to remember all that."

"Just wanted to... get to know you, I guess? We're both trapped in this messed up war, but... we're both Order, so I was hoping to get to know potential allies. Find out different perspectives on this war. So far, everyone I've talked to has had varying views, and I'm trying to figure out my own." She brushed a bit of hair back from her face, a little nervously, but she spoke to him with the same respect she would someone her own age. He was in this war, she would not treat him like the child he was just barely on the edge of being. Especially since he had probably been fighting longer then she had. But this was one of the child warriors that that goddamn Nega she had fought mentioned. He hadn't lied, dammit. "As for what kind of name it is... I'm a little confused, myself, as to how it is what it is, but... It's Ancient Korean, and the name of my Wonder, which is... not in Korea. I find this Wonder business confusing, honestly." She sighed a little, wondering if she was rambling. "But yeah, you can call me Cheom if you like. I know Cheomseongdae is a heckuva mouthful. It's nice to meet you, though, Cygnus. I like that constellation, it's very elegant."

"Get to know me?" Cygnus echoed, scoffing and shaking his head. He looked away, scowling at the floor. "There's nothing to get to know. I'm just a senshi, doing whatever it is we're supposed to do, and pretending to care about any of this but not really."
He was not sure he cared enough about the bigger picture, the war and the planet stuff, to be of any use to Cheom. And of course, even if he did feel strongly about something, one way or the other, he was in too bad a mood to even share with her.
She could just go bother someone else, as far as he was concerned.
"I've never seen the constellation," he said with a shrug, "and I don't really know what Wonders are. This whole thing is just complicated and dumb. I kinda wish I never even got these stupid powers and alter ego, so I wouldn't have to know about any of the Chaos stuff."
He shut himself up, realizing he was being a little more open with his feelings than the bratty side of him wanted to be.

Cheom's head tilted a little, as she considered his words and his actions... The scowling, the constant anger, the rejection of everything he was dealing with. She'd seen that before, in her own life. Whatever had happened, was happening, to this boy, he was dealing with some form of trauma, she was sure of it... This wasn't just teenage anger. She bit her lip for a moment,wanting to pull him into her arms. "You're not just a senshi. You're a person, and... you have a choice, you know. You could choose not to power up, not to continue to try. You don't have to fight, Cygnus, if you don't want to. What will happen to you if you don't? A Mauvian's gonna spank you?" She was being honest, from her perspective. Unless a Nega knew where he lived, if he wanted to leave this life... He did not HAVE to keep fighting. Who would force him, could force him? "Wonders are what knights have, instead of stars or planets. Not that important, I guess, if you are no longer interested in all of this. Of course, I can see why you might not want to quit. Quitting has it's own problems. You won't be able to forget, of course, and having all of that knowledge would be hard." She glanced at him. "Especially knowing about Chaos, and what they can do to civs, or even us. I spend a lot of time worrying about it, because what if I fail, and someone gets hurt, especially someone I care about? But if I don't fight, that could still happen. It's like... a rock and a hard place. I mean. For me, obviously. You have your own worries, obviously, and reasons for feeling that way."

Cygnus grunted.
"So I have super powers but I don't use them for anything? Or I could just do whatever I want with my powers until someone important notices and does something about it. But I don't think that'll happen, because they just let us all run around and fight for them. What's the point anyway? I'd rather just have fun."
Not that he looked like he was having any fun at all. He was also not making himself look like the type of kid who was capable of fun, so he doubted his argument held that much weight. Which was fine by him, since he wasn't even sure what he thought was fun anymore anyway.
Breaking stuff and picking fights was working for him so far.
Her words made him shut up, though, and he shuffled his foot against the ground. He was sure that something bad happened to his brother because of Chaos, but he had no idea what, or how to go about finding him. Everything he tried so far did not seem to work.
"You don't know anything about me!" he yelled suddenly, clenching his fists, "you can't just pretend to understand what it's like and then just get me to go back to being a senshi! I'm not some idiot kid any more, I know this war means a lot more to everyone else than it does to me. I just want my brother back!"
In his protests against telling her everything, he managed to do exactly that.

"It is your option, that's all I was saying. As far as I can tell, there's no one out there forcing us to fight, and... we're not 'visible,' if you will, when powered down, so how would anyone be able to find you to do so? Unless you told them who you are as a civ, anyways. But if it's fun, that's fine... It's about what you want." She was trying to be as agreeable as she could be, since he was... pretty clearly a teen on the edge of exploding, and even if he seemed miserable as all freakin' ********, she was not going to argue with him. She was about to say more when he DID explode, loudly and what he said made her freeze, her large blue eyes going wide behind her glasses. Those words made her heart squeeze and she stared for a long, silent moment after his words finished ringing around the space they were in... And then, completely impulsively and possibly not politely, she did what she would have done with her own brother, when he was that age, had he yelled words of that much pain at her. Before she had vanished on him, and she could see his face, and his pain, overlaid onto Cygnus' face. She moved forwards and engulfed him in her arms, hugging him and saying "Losing your sibling is the hardest thing in the world. No one deserves to loose someone they love, sibling or otherwise. I am so sorry, so so sorry, Cygnus. The loss of a sibling tears you apart, doesn't it...?" Her voice spoke of remembered grief, of honest sympathy (Not pity, never pity), coming from her own past, and the pain she had felt when she had had to leave her brother behind, when she had no real other options, not if she wanted to actually live.

Cygnus was startled when she hugged him, shaking in her grip but not immediately pulling out of it. If he were honest, he really needed a hug, and though his parents were trying to take care of him, he was not really letting them near him or past his defensive walls. He somehow felt a little safer here, with a stranger who seemed to understand. Maybe it was because they were both powered, or maybe he felt like they had an understanding beyond just the White Moon. "I didn't lose him," Cygnus said stubbornly, tears filling his eyes as he shoved her, feebly, away. He snuffled, the tears escaping and rolling down his cheeks, which were quickly reddening. "He's just lost. I'm going to find him, no matter what happened, no matter where he is or what he's doing. He's not dead. He can't be dead." He choked on his words, not sure if he believed himself. In fact, he was pretty sure he was lying to both her and to himself. He had a dark hole in his heart that filled him with doubt, telling him that he was on a hopeless search. That there was on brother left to find. People who went missing, powered people like him and his brother, usually did so because they were dead. People just stopped hearing from them, but they never knew it was because of a war. Maybe they would never know. "I... I just want to... to.. find..." he bit his lower lip, scrunching his face up with childish determination not to cry, only to lose the battle immediately and begin bawling loudly. He hugged her tightly, clinging to her in case she suddenly disappeared too.

Cheom held him for the moment he stayed in her arms, her eyes closing for just a moment, remembering the last time a small body had sheltered in her arms, upset, before she had to leave. It had been so long, and now that young man was an adult, attending college. At least they had re-found each other, but it had been a hard thing on both of them. She let go at his feeble shoving, for the moment, letting him decide, because she would not force him in anyway. His pain, his life, his body... His boundaries. "I did not mean to death, specifically." She said, softly, her eyes saddened for this boy and his pain. "I meant any form of losing a sibling. I... lost mine, for four years. I eventually re-found him. Well, he re-found me... But during those four years, I never knew what was happening, how he was. I worried, I was hurting and scared for him the whole time." She brushed her hand across her face, not going into the hows and whys... This child did not need to know about her abusive parents, or how she had fled just to live. All he seemed to need was someone who cared, who might understand. And when he hugged her again, her arms wrapped around him once more, holding him gently but tightly against herself, her face resting against his head as she rocked him, just a little, trying to offer what little comfort she could. "I hope you find him... I hope for your sake, you get the chance, the ability to find him, rebuild that bridge. I'm so sorry, Cygnus."

The idea that she had lost her brother, like he did, but had managed to find him again actually sparked a little warmth in Cygnus' chest, something he had not felt since the start of this whole ordeal. It was a small hope, but it was there nonetheless. After all, if she could find her sibling, maybe he could find his.
He was determined to try, no matter what it took.
Embarrassed, red faced and breathing heavily, Cygnus snuffled and took a few steps back. He rubbed his face furiously to dry it, leaving his cheeks as red as his nose, and his eyes looking sore. He folded his arms across his chest, though, trying to look stubborn and cool, but failing horribly. He mostly just looked like he was hugging himself.
Which was not too far from the truth.
"I should go," he mumbled, unable to really understand all the emotions attacking him, and though he wanted to thank her for her comfort and help, he could not find the way to. He really did appreciate her help, but he was not the most emotionally healthy kid on the planet. "Uhm..."

Cheom held him until he pulled back, and once again let go at once, letting this poor, sweet young lad have control over the situation to the level he could. She could not save him from the trauma he had suffered, anymore then anyone could save her... But she could at least do her best to give him comfort and support, while letting him have as much control as possible. She remembered what it was like for others to control her, and she would not going to do that to him, and add to his miseries. She watched him, wishing she had access to her purse in this form... She always had tissues, and wet wipes in there, just in case, and it might have made him feel better to be able to blow his nose and wipe down his face. She controlled the urge to sigh over her lack of forethought on this issue... She remembered a young senshi lady she had met, who took off her own backpack and changed, then put it back on, and made a mental note to get a backpack of her own, for things. When Cygnus spoke, Cheom tilted her head for a moment, wondering if she should offer to escort him home, given the state he was in. Finally, she decided he probably would prefer time to himself, to deal with how he was feeling. "Alright, Cygnus. If you ever need help, or... anything..." She tapped her ring. "Please feel free to contact me. Have a safe trip to where you are going." Her tone was gentle and kind, and she stepped back, letting him decide what to do from here. She hoped he understood what she was offering was more then merely 'if you need someone to battle alongside.' Lithiasaur Sorry I have been slow, omg. My energy has been PTHBT at me. Fin?

It was a lot for a young boy to take in, but he would try his best.
"Okay. Bye." He shook off his emotions and ran away, charging off in a random direction that was definitely not toward his home. But he did not want to go to that empty place, not just yet. He wanted to clear his head and, maybe, if he found someone that needed it, actually help someone.
