Versailles watched his breath as it came out, condensing in the cold. He didn't want to be out here. He wanted to be at home, underneath a warm blanket or something. And he would have gone about his merry way as a civilian if he wasn't so paranoid of something crazy happening again. That bottle thing was annoying he did not want to be caught unawares as a civilian. While he hadn't been in the Negaverse for long, he had learned that ignorance was bliss, and that he almost wished he had stayed as some lowly civilian.

Alas, that was not his fate. He watched another breath come out and moved his hair out of his face once again. He would need to start bringing hair-ties or clips or something. This hair is ridiculous. He thought to himself, moving it once again. If there was anything he regretted about being in the Negaverse, it was his usually short hair having to grow whenever he powered up and no way to keep it from falling in his face.

He pulled his coat tighter around him, trying to get back to his home before it got too cold outside, but before he was able to, he sensed... Order? He wasn't sure what it belonged to though. After all, when he had been in the bottle with all of the others, their signatures had mixed, making it hard to tell which one belonged to who.

But he was curious as to what type of signature it was, and decided to head in it's direction. A little detour never hurt anyone, right?

Watching her breath crystallize in the chill air, Nis found herself wishing that she'd brought a parka with her. Maybe some fleece leggings. At the very least knight cap. Granted, being powered up helped her to not feel the cold quite as much. But still.

Sighing softly, she considered powering down and heading home for hot tea and toast. Only an aura she wasn't at all familiar with was nearby. It didn't feel like other knight's she'd met. Chaos maybe? It seemed to have an underlying uncomfortableness to it...

Well, she had two choices then. Power down before whoever it was saw her. Or stick around and see what happened. If the unknown was friendly, she might learn some thing. If they weren't, well? Running was always an option.

Eventually he managed to find... well he was pretty sure that he had found the person that the signature was coming from. After all, no one dressed like that when it was so cold out. And by that he meant as though it was the middle of spring or beginning of summer.

The outfit was nice though he had to give the... well he didn't know what she was, but he certainly thought she was lucky for getting that outfit. He had certainly seen some... interesting ones.

"Well now, I certainly didn't expect to meet someone in the Order tonight. Though... you don't look like a senshi." He said as soon as he got within speaking distance of her. "And without a coat too. I hope your powers keep you warm, it's freezing out here." And reminding himself of the temperature, he felt just a bit colder, and wished that he could somehow add more to his jacket than was already there. Ah well, at least the long hair kept the back of his neck protected from the cold.

Feigning a calm that she didn't entirely feel, Nis watched the unknown approach and found herself wondering how he could even move with all that hair. It had to be heavy as hell.

His neck muscles had to be incredible.

Giving herself a little shake for becoming distracted, Nis allowed herself a tiny chuckle.

"I don't because I am not. And they do well enough, I suppose," she added blithely in spite of the latter being a complete lie. But she wasn't about to give up any edge she might have. "Now," she added, eyes bright with curiosity, "what are you?"

"You're not a senshi then? Interesting. What are you then?" He was just curious. After all, he hadn't yet been taught everything. "I'm a corrupt senshi. Usually my hair isn't this long but... apparently we're cursed to have our hair grow out or something when we power up." He wasn't sure what it was, but it was incredibly annoying. There were times when he even thought about shaving his head, if only so that his corrupt hair wouldn't be as long.

They weren't "cursed" but he felt like it was a curse. At least regular senshi got to keep their hair the same, if not made up a little bit.

"I just felt your signature and since I hadn't felt this type before I was... curious as to what it would lead to. But don't worry, I'm not in the mood for any battles tonight." He said, putting his hands up as a sign to show he wasn't hiding anything. "I'm well, new to put it lightly."

Well, corrupt senshi certainly sounded like rather unpleasant, if probably accurate packaging. And probably also explained why his aura set her teeth ever so slightly on edge.

"Well, I'm a knight. A Page more specifically. As far as I've been able to determine, all that means is that I get to look sparkly and useless."

Laughing a little at herself, Nis wondered if this senshi would take it amiss if she tried to do something with his hair to get it up out of the way. Especially if he was new, as he put it. How was anyone supposed to be able to fight with a giant target like that on them? It was practically asking to be scalped.

"Would you like me to braid your hair up out of the way," she asked abruptly. "I'm terrified that you'll try to run and trip over it or get it caught in something."

She paused and shuddered at her next thought.

"I do not even want to imagine the amount of peanut butter you'd need if you're ever unlucky enough to get gum in that mop."

I am so so so sorry for how slow I've been! Life decided I needed a thorough arse-kicking and then some.

"I'm pretty sure sparkles are a curse for those of us "lucky" enough to have them." He said, punctuating the word with air quotes. His uniform had them, and he was surprised that he had any left at this point. It was as though he was losing a pound of sparkles every time he powered up. Though he knew that wasn't what she was talking about, he certainly emphasized with her.

He smirked at her. "As much as I would appreciate getting this hair out of my way, and I do mean it, unfortunately, I believe it would unravel the next time I powered up. I'm not sure if there's some item or product that can be used to keep it a certain way, but as of yet I haven't discovered it. Though thank you for the offer." There was no reason to fight tonight. It didn't seem as though this... Knight-Page was looking to attack him immediately. Small talk was good enough for tonight.

"It is quite the annoyance. I'm more surprised I can keep my head up straight. And I've seen others with even more hair than me." How they didn't keep from chopping it all off the second that they powered up he didn't know. Perhaps their neck muscles were ten times stronger.

"A Knight though? Is that really different from a Senshi? I'm surprised that there would be two types on the Order side." Was he really surprised though? After all, they had Agents and Corrupts. But did that mean anything?

Trying to imagine people with even more hair than what she was currently looking at was on the mind-boggling side. There had to be magic involved to keep people from falling over.

"Well, I suppose if it only shows up when you're powered up that would help a little," she murmured. "Not sure I'd want the magic hair though."

Considering the senshi's words was at least a pleasant way to pass the time. And since he wasn't interested in fighting, she was more than content. And she was learning, even if she wasn't sure that the lesson had any worth yet.

"I believe there is a definite difference," she said, tapping her thumb against her lips as she mulled over her words. "I'm beholden to Sailor Cosmos and my wonder is nowhere near planet sized. And our magic is different. For example, I certainly haven't got any yet. You lot tend to have magic right out of the gate, no?"

Versailles nodded. "Yes, though it's nowhere near as powerful as well, Super and Eternal Senshi. But it is still useful." He did know that agents didn't have real weapons when they started out as Lieutenants either. It seemed that the two sides had a little in common. "I'm not sure how you guys do it without just throwing whatever it is you have for a weapon at the other person." He chuckled, having seen it happen at least once.

"Beholden? Have you ever gotten to talk to Sailor Cosmos?" He had gotten to talk to a General-King before. Once. When he had been recruited. But that was it. Were Knights beholden to Eternal? Or was there another stage higher than that? Like what the General-Kings/Queens?

"If you haven't, I would find it a bit... weird that you wouldn't have talked to them yet. I'm not sure I could swear loyalty to another myself if I couldn't at least communicate with them somehow. Or at least know they are out there even if I can't talk to them." He had quickly corrected himself, realizing that there were many reasons as to why one might not be able to communicate once they had met them. He meant it more in the case they had never met. How did one even know who they were swearing loyalty to? At least the Negaverse had that covered. Even if they were just Generals that one reported to.

"I would say that senshi have a slight advantage over Page's and Lieutenants. It's a bit silly that all of you have to struggle a bit more, without having the magical backup." He could only use his attack three times, but at least he had something.

"We run like fury," Nis said drily, cracking a smile. Then, face assuming a thoughtful expression, she did her best to explain how knights, well, worked.

"I don't think meeting them is important for a knight. It's nice, I suppose. But we just sort of know who we belong to. I know Cosmos is alive. But I also know she's busy."

A stray thought flickered through Nis' brain and she chuckled softly. "I mean, consider the Earth knights or those who belong to Mars or Jupiter or the like. I'm not even sure there's ever been an Earth senshi to swear loyalty to. And no one has ever met Sailor Mars that I've heard. But her knights are still out there."

Stretching and wondering if the reason no one had ever seen Mars or Jupiter was because they were dead or even busier than Cosmos, Nis smiled at the senshi's words. Shrugging, she couldn't help but agree to a point.

"Well, knights don't have to care for an entire planet, so maybe it makes more sense for us to have some limits right out of the gate. I'm quite content with my little island in space."

An eyebrow raised itself on Versailles face, but he decided not to say anything. There was supposedly a Senshi of Mars? Of Earth? The fact that they hadn't shown up to kick all of the Negaverse's behinds was something that caused Versailles to question their loyalty and would forever be wondering what was wrong with an Earth Knight every time he encountered them from now on. Even if the Senshi didn't have any direction, to swear loyalty to a planet that couldn't even guide you on anything was, frankly, ridiculous in his mind.

He still wasn't sure about the logic that the Page was using, but decided not to question it. Perhaps if he talked to more Knights and Senshi he would be able to understand it one day. "I just get to hang out in the Negaverse. Though I can't do much there, especially at my level. I haven't understood how other Corrupts like the place so much. Though I suppose with their higher power and rank they are allowed to do more, so it's easier for them. Me? I have to ask someone to teleport me there and let me just say that it is a pain." He was lucky enough to just be able to dump whatever energy he had collected on a Captain or General who was going there anyway so that he didn't have to go.

Not like he or any lieutenants or basic corrupts could explore anyway. There was the main building of course, and then everywhere else seemed to be swarming with Youma out to kill them. Apparently Metallia didn't care if they got killed or not considering the danger that she surrounded them with.

He moved his hair out of his face once again. If he could just power up without the long hair appearing with it...

Listening intently, Nis stored away little tidbits of information. Like that first level corrupted senshi couldn't teleport, but higher ranks could. Regular senshi couldn't teleport could they? Surely she'd have heard about it before now if they could!

"That sounds tedious, truthfully. What about your homeworld? Can't you go there?"

Thinking about her own little outpost, Nis realized how lucky she was to have awoken as a knight. If the Negaverse had gotten their claws on her, it sounded as if she'd have been forced to forgo things she enjoyed. And having been to her own Wonder, she knew that she'd rather die than lose access to it.

"I feel truly sorry for you if you don't even have the solace of your homeworld to retreat to," she murmured softly. In fact, she wanted to hug the corrupted senshi and have a little weep for what he was missing out on. If all he had was the Negaverse, how on earth could he feel whole?

Versailles couldn't help the wry smile that made it's way onto his face. "No I... can't. I'm corrupted so I don't have the connection like regular Senshi." He honestly wondered what the advantage was of being a corrupt. Long hair? Being on the "right" side? Power? Well, he had yet to achieve that last one, and he hoped that he would be able to get it eventually. Though his main motivation was getting away from his mother.

He waved a hand, showing that she shouldn't be sorry for him. "It's all right. I've never had the connection, so I don't know what it's like you know? I can't miss what I've never had." And he truly had never felt it. He had no idea what it was like. "But I would like to go and visit some homeworld one day. They sound interesting at least. Since I'm a corrupt though, it's not going to happen." And he didn't have the responsibility of maintaining it either. At least he had that much going on.

Okay, well... he had a point. But it still made Nis sad that he would never know that connection if he stayed the way he was. It was a pity.

"They're wonderful," she said, so tempted to offer to take him along to her wonder when she was strong enough. Only she knew what a foolish risk doing that would be. Sure, he was nice enough right now, but he was on the wrong side in a terrible war. It was entirely feasible that she could meet him a month from now and be forced to defend her life.

No, offering him a tour was out of the question.

"I hope one day you have a chance to see one," she settled on saying. It was safer and more diplomatic in the long run.

"Thank you." He gave her a genuine smile this time. At least she seemed to care a bit, even if it was about something that he had never thought about, or barely knew anything about.

It seemed that they had been talking long enough however. "Talking to you was... nice. I hope to have more encounters like this someday." He said, taking a moment to feel if there were any other auras out there. There were none that he could tell of. "It was interesting to meet a knight. Though I am sorry it had to be on such a cold night. Perhaps we can meet again when it's warmer and we can talk a bit more then. I assume I'll see you again at least. Hopefully not under worse circumstances." He said, giving her a nod before turning around and giving her a wave of his hand. "Thank you again!" He said, before getting out of the area, hoping that their little talk hadn't been caught by anyone else that he couldn't sense.

Still, it gave him something to think about. And he didn't like that. Joining the Negaverse was an easy decision. But leaving it? He wasn't sure...
