Name: Hinana Shimotsuki
(Hina is a cousin of Tochi/Aogashima and Morie/Hakodate)Nickname: Hina mostly, Tochi sometimes calls her 'Nacchan'
Age: 15
Birthday: August 23
Sign: Virgo
Gemstone: Peridot
Blood Type: AB+
Fav. Food: Roasted sweet potatoes, also Melon pan
Hated Food: Natto
School: private school, same one Tochi (and formerly Morie) goes to
Hobbies: windchimes -- Growing up in Japan, Hina grew up listening to the sound of the windchimes outside of her house, and wanted to recreate that when her family moved to the US, starting a windchime collection of her own. Possibly a weird thing to collect, but she likes the sound they make, and finds it calming. Hina mostly hangs them outdoors, but also keeps a windchime made of seashells hanging in her bedroom that Tochi gifted to her as a housewarming present.
cello -- Music runs in her family, with both of her parents musicians, her mother in particular being a former concert cellist. At a young age, her parents 'encouraged' her to pick up an instrument, which resulted in her picking up the cello as well. From private tutors to after-school programs, Hina has been enrolled in lessons since childhood, and while her parents have never been particularly overbearing in the matter, Hina knows they expect nothing but the best out of her, and so she’s gone along with it. Fortunately for them, she’s come to enjoy playing the instrument over the years, and has no intention of quitting.
sightseeing (for tea) -- Hina loves tea- both making and drinking it- and has even made a hobby of sorts out of it. She likes to visit the different tea houses and sample the teas there, as something of a ‘tea pilgrimage’, almost, and buying tea leaves in shops to take home as well. Her ideal vacation itinerary tends to be tea-related, and one of her travel goals is to visit some of the more prestigious tea houses.
Virtues: humble -- Although she comes from a wealthy family, Hina doesn’t let it get to her head, and is actually fairly humble, not considering herself to be above anyone else in particular, and treating everyone as equals. She doesn’t act proud or haughty at all, and tends to downplay her achievements, as well, insisting she can do better. Hina doesn’t see herself as having any sort of particular advantage over anyone despite her family’s status, and is accepting of people from all walks of life.
amiable -- Hina is very much a people pleaser, agreeable and friendly. She doesn’t object to much, if at all, and just wants for her friends and family to be happy and for everyone to get along. If they’re happy, she’s happy, and if they’re not happy… Hina will do what she can to make them happy. Otherwise, Hina is a rather good-natured girl and is very easy to get along with, possibly to the extent that it could be said that her kindness could potentially backfire on her.
Flaws: complaisant -- With her future more or less planned out for her by her parents, Hina is somewhat wishy-washy when it comes to making personal decisions on her own, and has trouble with it, tending to let others choose for her. She has no problems with agreeing with other people’s personal decisions, readily going along with their plans, but falters when the conversation comes back to what
she wants to do or what
her plans are. She’s uncomfortable with being in charge, or even taking charge of a situation, and is much more comfortable with taking a backseat position.
the fall guy -- Used to letting other people make decisions for her, Hina has grown accustomed to taking the blame for her friends’ bad decisions, or blaming herself for them. It’s largely on a subconscious level that she does it without thinking, but there’s a part of her that also feels guilty by association as well. After all, she was the one who went along with whatever they did.
