[Personality]
Virtues: Amiable - Treat others as you would like to be treated. Her mother told her it was a golden rule, that kindness and generosity were key. For as long as she can remember those tenements have been drilled into her head, and after so many years of it the young woman has taken them to heart. Where possible she's agreeable, compromising, sweet and giving. She wants everyone to be happy, and will bend over backwards just to see you smile, sometimes even at the expense of own happiness.
Studious - It takes a whole lot of hard work and long hours of research to reach a degree in forensic psychology--or even just a slightly over obsessive interest in true crime. There were mountains homework, tons of articles and case files, and
miles of microfiche that needed perusing. Ophelia poured over them, over and over, to soak up every last detail she could, because you just never new what fact or observation was going to be the last puzzle piece to something bigger.
Empathetic - Even as a small child Ophelia seemed to take the emotions of other's to heart. When she saw someone hurting or in pain she hurt in turn. It was very likely what had driven her to pursue the career path she was headed down. Reading about awful crimes and the depraved, sadistic wills inflicted on the poor victims, Ophelia could place herself in their shows, imagine the fear and the hopelessness. She wanted to do what she could to help, even if all she could do was help catch the ones preying on the weak.
Flaws: Impulsive - Behind the dutiful school girl, the loving daughter, there was a free spirit that rested just beneath the surface, ready to burst free at almost any given moment. She likes going out; dancing, drinking, experimentation. She isn't afraid to follow her flights of fancy. Always eager to see where the knight might take her or what lurked just behind the next corner.
Flaky - It's really not all that uncommon for Ophelia to get wrapped up in something and
completely forget the world around her. She's not proud of it, tries really hard to keep it from happening, but it still does, and more often that she'd care to admit. More than once she's made plans with her friends or potential dates and looked up from her laptop hours past the time they were meant to meet up. It's a problem!
Ups and Downs - When she's happy Ophelia doesn't have a care in the world. Everything is perfect, and absolutely nothing can cast a shadow on just how amazing she feels. Until something does. It's been speculated that Ophelia bi-polar. She has all the classic markers of it, but has never sought to have it confirmed in any professional capacity. Because she's
fine, and she can handle it. Never mind how overwhelming everything feels, or how difficult it is for the girl to drag herself out of bed to attend her classes. It's fine.
