Fresh snow has fallen over Destiny City for the third time this week; most people seem to have stayed inside today due to a particularly heavy flurry, but you find yourself outside tonight for some reason. The weather has faded, revealing a sparkling night sky. Much of the ground is covered in a crisp layer of snow--but more than that, beautiful flowers in the shape of snowflakes have sprouted in the ground. They grow in small patches and permeate a pleasant, sweet fragrance. If the flowers are not kept in freezing temperatures, they melt, but for the duration of their lifespan they are beautiful, fragile things. In such a busy metropolis, isn't it nice to take a moment to take a moment and appreciate nature? Even if there does seem to be something a little magical about this?
The wings were absoutely delicious, they normally were at this particular location. They were tender, not greasy and the sauce wasn't too heavy. The spicy ones for one of them were well flavored while still bringing a lip searing spice, and the more mild ones still carried a good flavor with them and could be enjoyed by either of them.
Service had been quick and while the waitress had perhaps been slightly over solicitous, that was more than likely because she was angling for a good tip. Such a thought could easily be supported by the cut of her shorts, and the 'quirky' socks she wore drawn up to her knees.
Probably given the normal crowd and any given night with people drawn to the ring of tv screens ringing the upper walls, this idea worked. Probably a good thing too given the terrible nature of pay that servers were granted because of the idea that they'd be better compensated with their tips.
Lucien wasn't quite sure why they'd decided to go out for dinner that evening but they had and, thankfully, had brought thicker coats when they'd gone out as well. The weather had said it might snow and while neither of them thought it looked like it would they'd brought the coats anyway. They'd come in handy when by the time they were done with dinner and left the restaurant to find the grown covered in a light blanket of snow.
"Well .... looks like it's going to be another chilly night." He shook his head, bundling his coat collar around his neck as he shivered for a moment. It wasn't as cold as it could be but it was chilly enough that it was going to be a long walk back.
They could call a car but that wasn't something either of them were all that fond of doing. Being in someone elses care was just a little weird and a little uncomfortable. "Think we can make it home before it starts to come down harder again?" The flurries were still coming down but they were a soft fall rather than the heavy snowfall that had to have happened while they were eating.
