Fresh snow has fallen over Destiny City for the third time this week; most people seem to have stayed inside today due to a particularly heavy flurry, but you find yourself outside tonight for some reason. The weather has faded, revealing a sparkling night sky. Much of the ground is covered in a crisp layer of snow--but more than that, beautiful flowers in the shape of snowflakes have sprouted in the ground. They grow in small patches and permeate a pleasant, sweet fragrance. If the flowers are not kept in freezing temperatures, they melt, but for the duration of their lifespan they are beautiful, fragile things. In such a busy metropolis, isn't it nice to take a moment to take a moment and appreciate nature? Even if there does seem to be something a little magical about this?

The date of her flight back to the UK had been slowly getting closer and closer, only a few days left, and whilst her trip back to the UK wouldn't be for long - no more than a couple of weeks - Ashley had known that there wouldn't be any opportunity for her to work on things on Negaverse quotas whilst she was back home–

Which was why she had made the decision to slip out tonight, a thick pair of gloves to cover hands that normally went ungloved paired with an even thicker and fluffier scarf and a set of ear muffs - and whilst it wasn't particularly Negaverse-y, the flurries of snow showers that had been on and off throughout the day had (at least in her opinion) made for a good reason - particularly given the fact that it had once again been snowing when she had slipped out as Ashley and made her way to first secluded-looking place she could find in order to power up as her counterpart Reinerite.

Even though next year would mark the third year since she had come to the States, flurries of snow in December was something that she was still not used to because - whilst it could and did snow in the UK - white Christmases weren't terribly common with snow tending to fall more in January and February time on the the occasions when it fell.

Reinerite's lips quirked up in a small smile - in fact the last White Christmas of any significance had been 8 years ago, back in 2010 - she remembered making snowmen out in the garden with Harriet and them both getting scolded by her mother when they had both slipped back in–

And her father had complained about the fact that pretty much all the trains down to London had been cancelled - although truth be told that was pretty common when it snowed in the UK - in fact if the UK saw the same amount of snow that Destiny City did then it would pretty much be maximum chaos all the time.

However whilst the latest flurry of snow hadn't lasted very long, it had appeared to have an impact on people being out and about, and Reinerite had found that she had had the crisp air and sparkling night sky to herself–

In fact there hadn't even been an Order aura to break up her evening - although she wasn't complaining.

Reinerite was seriously considering cutting her evening short however to return home, because with neither civilians about or Order auras to investigate it made little sense for her to be out - after all risking catching a chill wasn't part of her plans for the night - and there was a box of biscuits and some tea that both had her name on it waiting for her back home.

In fact she had turned towards the park with the intention of cutting across it and then teleporting from the alleyway closed to the small little cafe on the other side, but then found herself pausing at the sight of the flowers sprouting up through the ground–

Flowers that were in the shape of snow flakes, small clumps of them here and there with - and impulsively she plucked one up so she could sniff - a pleasant fragrance that was pleasing.

Reinerite found herself plucking up a few more to join the first until she had enough to fill a small vase, the scent one that she wouldn't mind having around–

And they had looked so pretty when she had arranged them in the vase that she - or rather Ashley - had rustled up.

They had been gone by morning however, with only a puddle of water left to suggest that they had ever been there.
