Everyone who has received a snow fairy figurine has noticed something is…off about their daily routine. They tend to head to bed a little earlier than normal and to sleep in later than normal. Regardless of their typical taste buds, and the weather outside, they seem to be cold things to eat and drink. Not to mention their energy levels seem to be low but that may just be all the shivering or the time change as surely there is enough sleep to be had.
The Snow Fairy figurines have also been extra peculiar as of late. With a beautiful gleam, they almost look as though they’re made of real ice whenever light touches their translucent forms. They never seem to be in the same place as they're left in and their poses seem different than they were the day before. While they look life-like, they surely aren't...right?

Jason wasn't the type of person to get hours and hours of sleep. Despite his normal lack of sleep though, he spent his days energized with coffee and work keeping him busy. At least school was out for now, a small break that he always desperately needed. Maybe that was why he was sleeping so much these days. He caught himself dozing off on his couch at home and even fighting sleep away at work. He usually kept himself warm with regular coffee breaks, but in an attempt to keep himself up he was getting his drinks cold. Iced coffee, in the middle of winter? As confused as the baristas were by his unusual requests, they were happy to oblige. Nothing seemed to be helping him out though.
Nischal had made some comment that maybe Xi, their new roommate, was rubbing off on him a bit. It was true that his friend definitely loved his sleep, but Jason was far too busy, had too many people to catch up with, and too much work to do to be caught up in napping. Still, he had to admit it was a nice change in pace. Maybe his body just needed some time to recharge and was taking advantage of the fact that it was far too cold to be outside running errands and catching up with friends.
The strangest thing wasn't even his new found fondness for sleep though. It was the mini-sculpture he had received from the carnival. It seemed like every time he saw it in his room it was out of place. He couldn't quite pin down what was wrong it it. Were it's winged always folded like that, was their hand always reaching out? Each one that had been handed out that day had looked different, so he couldn't even compare it to the one he had brought home for Nischal. One had wings stretched out to take flight, while the other appeared to be at rest. But which was was which again? It was hard to keep track, they looked so similar and he had left them together on his night stand. In an effort to sort out the mess he separated them in room.
But, when he finally made his way toward bed, way too early for his usual bedtime, he noticed that they were once again together. he had moved one right? Maybe he had just dreamed that he had moved them apart. Wait, were both their wings up in flight now? Surely one had been resting before. Or at least he thought they had. What strange little sculptures they were indeed. He reached down to touch one of their delicate wings. They were so cool to the touch, despite how warm it was in his apartment. His brain was too foggy to make any sort of sense at the moment. He really wanted to lay down. So, with his foggy head he curled up in bed instead. It wasn't long before his eyes closed and he was lost in his slumber once again.
