Everyone who has received a snow fairy figurine has noticed something is…off about their daily routine. They tend to head to bed a little earlier than normal and to sleep in later than normal. Regardless of their typical taste buds, and the weather outside, they seem to be cold things to eat and drink. Not to mention their energy levels seem to be low but that may just be all the shivering or the time change as surely there is enough sleep to be had.

The Snow Fairy figurines have also been extra peculiar as of late. With a beautiful gleam, they almost look as though they’re made of real ice whenever light touches their translucent forms. They never seem to be in the same place as they're left in and their poses seem different than they were the day before. While they look life-like, they surely aren't...right?

At first, Cynthia had wanted to throw the figurine away that she had gotten. She wasn’t into fairies or anything and really didn’t care about keeping stuff to decorate her room with. She already had a hard-enough time trying to keep the darn room clean, she didn’t need things that just stood in the way and took up space! But as of yet she hadn’t thrown it away, her mother insisting upon her keeping it. And unfortunately for Cynthia, she hadn’t yet found an opportunity to throw it away in the trash.

As it stood in her room, she had started to become tired much more easily and had a harder time waking up. Which was weird. She was usually an early bird. And even though she went to be earlier than most people, if she wasn’t patrolling or sneaking out to take pictures, she was starting to go to bed even earlier! Something weird was going on, and she wondered if it could be that seasonal depression was finally starting to settle in. She hadn’t yet gone through such a feeling before, but if it was the reason that this was happening then well, it sucked to be honest.

Another thing she noticed though was that the fairy figurine seemed to be in a different pose every day. Cynthia had even taken pictures of it the day before, but the pictures just showed the same pose as the next day, which made Cynthia start to question her own sanity. And it seemed like her room had become a freezer or something! The figurine certainly seemed to be keeping quite cold and Cynthia had tried to beg her mom to up the temperature in the house but had to settle for a personal heater. Or two. She would have gone with three, but her mother was worried about the house burning down.

Nothing seemed to help though! Except going somewhere else, which she now did more frequently than before. There was no way she was going to stay in her room when it everything seemed designed to make her as cold as possible.

Jason was happy to have his girlfriend around more often but was still concerned that something else was going on, something that couldn’t be explained even by the Negaverse. But unless either of them could get a degree or take a class in “Magic and How to Find It” then they would forever be at a loss, until whatever it was that caused the weirdness around December to finally make its appearance. They could at least blame the Negaverse when it came to the weird events in October, but for December, even if the events were dangerous, they didn’t seem as bad as those in the other month when weird things occurred.

Either way, neither of them were happy about the situation, but Cynthia had to live in the darn room and when she was able to, she finally convinced her mother to put the figurine in the living room or somewhere that wasn’t her room, hoping that she might be warmer and her mother would realize that there was a reason that she felt so cold.
