Near the outskirts of the clearing is a snow covered pathway leading into the adjacent forest. Couples and clusters of friends disappear into the shaded area, their delight in the beautiful scenery loud enough for any passersby to hear. Deciding to venture in to see what the fuss is all about, you (and perhaps whoever you're with) head towards the marked path. Twenty minutes or so in and you soon realize that you must have fallen distracted at some point because the path is no longer obvious and there's neither sound nor sight of any other people around. The sun begins to set and you can swear you hear quiet whispers among the trees. You'd better find your way back somehow - and fast - before the whispers’ owners find you first.

The soft crunch of snow under the boots and shoes of people were much more pleasing to the ears than the dull din of humans conversing amongst themselves. Not to mention they were rather annoying when it came to topic choices. Either they were all boringly about the holidays and plans for said holidays, or, it was complaints of this or that, usually also related to the holidays.

She just wanted to enjoy the scenery, but no- everyone had to be so noisy and loud and annoying with their inane babble over trivialities. Rolling here eyes, she looked down from her perch in the branches of a bare leafless tree. Her claws sunk into the hard bark just barely, the cold making it harder than normal for her to climb. As the people milled about, seeking to traverse into the forest nearby she scoffed at them ruining the tranquility of the day and what little daylight they had. Really, she would prefer to not have to share her space with them. After all, she had arrived here much earlier than they- but like all things, people moved in packs and ruined what they found. Scowling as she jumped from one branch to the next, slowly making her way back to the white blanketed ground, Enyo wondered what it was that was so appealing in the woods. Certainly nothing too grand or great.

Peering into the treeline, her tail flicked back and forth. She had time she supposed. And nothing better to do. Not to mention she hadn’t sensed one damn unwoken senshi in ages. Huffing as her paws landed in fresh snow with a tiny crunch she shivered from the sudden cold chill that raced down her spine and made the fur on her tail stand on end, making her look much more fluffy and larger than she really was. Eyes narrowed as she trailed after the people heading down the wooded path, taking in the not so tranquil sights and sounds. Really, she mused, it could all do without the foot traffic and people. You would think others on the path would know not to be so loud and rather be respectful. Shaking her head she went on, trying to enjoy herself and the path.

The path that eventually, she found herself off, a slight bit lost. A touch upset at herself, Enyo puffed up in frustration. She just wanted a nice walk to herself… and not to mention some strange sounds and whisperings were coming from here and there amongst the trees. It didn’t sit well with her. After all, Enyo knew very well just what type of nasties lurked in the shadows. The rift was full of such things after all. With the sun setting, and darkness encroaching, the guardian cat hissed when a whisper seemed a bit too close. Darting up a tree she looked as far as she was able, trying to find the path that she’s accidentally gotten off of. Unable to find it, and the whispers nearing she hissed a final time before retreating to the rift. At least there she knew what was after her.
