Quote: Walking home one night, you happen to come across a rather cozy looking holiday pop-up store. Sweet and wonderful smells waft out from its doors, and once you step inside, you find a rather jolly looking man in a snowman costume handing out free samples of what he would like to call “Frosty Frappes”. It seems trustworthy enough, as there are multiple people already happily sipping away at their drinks at nearby tables and you decide that you’ll take one and go about your way. It’s sweet and cinnamony with just a hint of something cold. Mint? Ginger? Well, whatever it is, your body feels cooler, and there’s an itch in the back of your throat. You clear your throat, and first it comes out normal… Then you find yourself humming, then whistling… And finally, you can’t stop, every word you say comes out in song. No matter how hard you try, your thoughts come out in song as if you were born to sing! An hour passes, and soon enough singing dies down and you can talk normally once again. For the next week or so though, you find yourself humming or singing softly to yourself while doing mundane tasks. Luckily for you, it also seems like you can hit the notes for now!
He'd never done this sort of thing and didn't know what to get for his family, well his aunt and uncle, and while December didn't know them well at least the other was likely better at navigating this holiday season than he was.
"Don't see the point in all this shopping...it's too much." Some people in the store seemed to be loaded down, to the point of sagging under the weight of gifts, and it didn't make sense to him. "We should get out of here soon - too warm Maybe find food or drink." Maybe both. He wouldn't mind the break from the shopping - it was a lot. He'd also already bought something for December...he just hoped the other would like it.

December, true to his name, adored the month and all the wonderful holiday cheer that came with it! The moment Boon-nam called for him to go out together, he was all for it!
His little job had earned him enough money that he could buy a few gifts for the little friends he had, even if it was just small ones, and he was far FAR more excited than he really should be.
Meeting up with Boon started the same as always, arms wrapping around the taller man in the jolliest of hugs before holding onto his arms as they traveled around.
"This really is all new for you, isn't it? I looked up a little online before I came about the Christmas traditions in Thailand, and there really weren't many. It's really really cool that you're getting into the spirit of things, getting gifts for people! I know it's tiring, but I like to think it's a nice time of the year since you can give a bit more than normal! It just feels like happiness is in the air!" Even the chipper boy had to admit he was feeling tired, and simply nodded at the idea of finding a place to rest.
"How about over there? 'Frosty's Frappes'? You like coffee, right? Something warm sounds good!"

"No...not a holiday for us. Other places around us celebrate." Otherr Asian countries but it wasn't a Thai thing, and he didn't see it changing anytime soon. Not enough people from other countries living in Thailand plus the major holiday of the season. It wasn't something he saw becoming less celebrated.
Holding onto the other he leaned down to press his face into the top of the others white hair. "Its a lot of work...and people seem....in a rush - mean." They seemed to lack manners and be ruder this time of year, but somehow they managed to smile despite it and wish people a happy holidays at the same time. It was rather strange to him. But it was new and something to explore he supposed, especially with December.
Petting the others hair as hhe stepped back, coming to stand at the others side and peer over at the cafe. "Yes, it looks good. Coffee would be nice." It was cold outside and a hot drink sounded nice, it sounded perfect.

It seemed like more and more Boon was getting cozier with him, showering December in affection that he still very much rarely felt. The gentleness of those touches was enough to make him blush, an unusual sensation, but it made him all the more happier to be with the other man.
"Some people get pushy, but I think we're alright! We've had a good time otherwise, right? Ooh! Yes, you wait right here, I'll be right back!" While the line wasn't exactly packed, Dessy urged his friend to find a seat, before rushing into the line. They were free samples, a nice large cup too, so he grabbed two and went right back to Boon's side, offering him one of the cups before plopping down beside him.
"They had other things, but this was the free sample! Here, tell me if you like it!"

He tended to shower his friends in attention, and affection, because they were his and they should know how much he cared about them. He didn't want to lose his friends, or have them find other people to like more than him. He liked December, as more than a friend, and he did his best to keep things within the friendzone and keeping the other close - very close.
Going to find a seat, as December pushed him off to do so, he sat himself down in the middle of a group of occupied tables, and waited. When December did return he reached out for his own drink and smiled, nodding his head. "Thank you. If it is good I'll buy for us both a drink." It was, he figured, better to go with samples and see if they liked the drink before purchasing bigger ones. It smelled good...interesting but good.
"Smells good....looks good too."

Perhaps to another person, how posessive Boon-nam was would a be a bit offputting, but December honestly enjoyed it! It was nice, being wanted... And when he was with Boon, it truly felt like they could just ignore all the bad that was going on around them, and just focus on one another.
It certainly eased the stress he felt so often.
Now that he was back beside Boon, Dessy took a a long sip of the drink, licking the whipped cream from his lips in a slow, contemplative manner.
"Hmm.... I think it's pretty tasty? What do you think? It's kinda... Refreshing, that's the word!"

"It is - is good. We can get another before we leave to shop more?" Not that he wanted to do more shopping, he didn't like all this crazy shopping, but he was trying to do the normal thing here for the holidays. It was, at times like this, where he wished to be back home as it was simpler and easier. But he was glad he was here - he really was. He had a friend like December and he made it worth it.
"Maybe ginger in drink?" He wasn't sure but maybe it was ginger, it seemed like it maybe. It was unusual but it was good. It was worth spending money on and getting a nice big drink, which they could then share. "Come home with me tonight? Can have some good and watch a movie...or tv." Or just spend time together, he really didn't care how. He wanted to spend time with the other, that was all that mattered to him.

"I think you're right... Something, but it's good! Sure, we can get some more. wanna come in line with me this time?" When December was with Boon-nam, maybe it was obvious, but he knew he was spoiled. Boon always went out of his way to make sure he was fed and happy. Just another reason why he enjoyed being with the other man so much. And being with him so often allowed Dessy to take the time to really study Boon and his reactions. It wasn't always he took a quiet moment, since he was such a naturally peppy and kinda all over the place boy, so it took alot of effort and alot of time to finally pick up on body language..
Boon's body language was saying he was done shopping for the day, his words reflecting just that.
"I think we're done with shopping for the day. I'm tired... And people are just so pushy, I'd rather just go home, somewhere quiet... Oh, um... I mean go home with you..." Very quietly, December thanked the stars that Boon wanted to go to his house together. Maybe, if he could word it right, he could spend all the way up until Christmas with his friend... It was the first Christmas since his family died, and while June was around now, it seemed far too awkward to impose on him already. He had his own life, his own friends, just like December now had.
"I'm just happy to be with you, so if you want me to stay, I'm really, really grateful for it."

"Happy to have you as a friend...first one here in this country." And one of the only ones he had, actually he considered December to be his only friend. He was happy to have December though, and he planned on keeping the other as his close friend. He just hoped December was ok with that...that the other wouldn't leave him. He liked to have a few close friends, he didn't need acquaintances, and right now he was happy with just December.
"I'll come in line, then we go home and can relax and watch movies or tv." Or whatever else December wanted to do, because he was ok with whatever the other wanted to do. Boon-nam was just glad to spend time with the other, the how didn't matter as much, so he'd take what he could get and enjoy it.
"To stay?" Staring at the other, as he'd already been moving towards the line so they could order, he wondered how the other meant that. "Mean tonight or stay...?" Stay longer. Was that what he meant? He wasn't sure, he doubted it, maybe he was just...picking up on some emotion or something which he was hoping was there. That there was more to the question and it wasn't a simple stay the night, like it surely was.

"That's really sweet of you, Boon. You're probably my closest friend, I think..." Kelly had been a close friend, for a while, but they drifted apart after time. It was mainly his fault, too scared to show her how much pain he was in when she seemed so often to be suffering herself... But with Boon, he genuinely felt happy in the moments they shared. Happy, without the burden of forcing it.
December smiled at the plan and nodded slowly, thinking it'd be nice to share such a sweet, tasty treat between them. Luckily neither of them had problems with sharing food or drinks so it was never awkward. Just... Nice.
"I.. I uh..." His face turned just a little red at the question, feeling like he had been caught too soon in his suggestion. "Well... Um... I'll stay as long as you'd like me to. But it's the holidays, so I don't want to be there too much... Your family may not like me being around, since I'm a stranger... I'll be alone for most of it, though, so if you want me to be around, I'm happy to stay with you."
