Everyone who has received a snow fairy figurine has noticed something is…off about their daily routine. They tend to head to bed a little earlier than normal and to sleep in later than normal. Regardless of their typical taste buds, and the weather outside, they seem to be cold things to eat and drink. Not to mention their energy levels seem to be low but that may just be all the shivering or the time change as surely there is enough sleep to be had.

The Snow Fairy figurines have also been extra peculiar as of late. With a beautiful gleam, they almost look as though they’re made of real ice whenever light touches their translucent forms. They never seem to be in the same place as they're left in and their poses seem different than they were the day before. While they look life-like, they surely aren't...right?

Ashley woke to the memory of a cool smile and strangely alluring eyes, grey eyes blinking groggily about her surroundings before settling on the alarm clock - and more specifically on the digital numbers on display:

11:05

Eleven o'five - again. For some reason she had been waking up at the exact same time lately - and whilst the preciseness of the time was a little unusual, the truly strange thing was that it was so much later than her usual wake up time - and that was with her setting her alarm.

She reached for her phone to check - and once again it seemed that she had slept through the alarm, and the three wake up reminders that were set half an hour before, 10 minutes before and five minutes after respectively.

Strange - although perhaps strange was something of an understatement - especially given the fact that Ashley had been slipping out to work on quota as Reinerite a little earlier in the evenings and also taking to slip to bed earlier as well.

Not that it seemed to help as she was still mysteriously waking up dead on eleven o'five–

And she'd found herself with a sudden craving for cold things lately - ice cream, frappuccinos, frozen cake, shaved ice with syrup - and whilst she did enjoy those things, they were things that she would normally enjoy when the weather was warm rather than in the middle of winter.

Nonetheless, she found herself wandering to the kitchen and digging out the half finished ice cream tub from the freezer and munching through it, a few spoonfuls in before she noticed that the snow fairy figurine had moved.

In fact she was sure of it, certain that she had placed it on a side table, a side table that a quick glance was enough to confirm was empty.

Ashley frowned, moving aside the box of chocolate that was on the table so that she could set the ice cream down and walk over to take a closer look at the figurine that was now next to the television.

Yes she'd definitely put it on the side table, she remembered doing so after picking it up from the kitchen counter.

Another glance, her frown deepening as grey eyes took in the way that the light hit it - because for a moment it had appeared like the figurine was made out of ice rather than crystal - so much so that she had ended up reaching out to pick it up.

It was definitely crystal, although there appeared to be something slightly odd about the posture to the point that if Ashley didn't know better then she'd say that figurine had actually shifted position at some point between last night and now–

But that seemed almost as crazy as a figure up and somehow moving across the room from the side table to the TV.

Ashley sighed and shook her head, too tired to actually think on it too much and rather thankful that she didn't have much to do today.

Maybe it would be worth having a quiet day today, a day in which she would potter around the apartment and not do much of anything - well at least after a trip to the shops to pick up a few more tubs of ice cream.
