You get the link in an email. Up and coming new star wants you to watch their new song they just posted on Youtube. It’s a holiday song and is terribly catchy, though after you listen to it, you find yourself getting quite sleepy. The tiredness persists, and you only want to sleep.

The first nap lasts an hour or so, but you wake up hungry with the song still playing in your head. After eating you again sleep, and you don’t wake again until the next day.

When you go back to try and listen to the song again though, there is no email. And Googling it shows no results.

Weird.

Sam was on her way home following a study session at the library. Not for anything school related, but more work on her senshi name and trying to figure out what her planet might hold for her, without actually having to go back to it. She was still too chicken to see it in person, scared that it might not be anything like what she was thinking.

So she was trying to visit what planets she could, if other Senshi would let her go with them.

She had notebooks full of ideas, of things she hoped it might be based on what she knew about her sphere and what the name Sinistra meant. But she also understood that no manner of research would really unlock the secrets of her magical past. Ultimately she just had to go see it for herself. If only she were brave enough to.

Feeling her phone rumble and hearing the chime of a new message, she frowned at the screen. Some sort of spam email from a famous singer, though she did not really follow music trends. Or... any trends, really. She opened the email, though, curious. It seemed harmless enough and she watched the link provided, smiling at the catchy song.

Maybe she would have to look up that artist when she got home. Of course, first off, she would have to finish her patrol. Right. Almost forgot about that. She had been walking while listening to the song and got a little off track anyway.

Might as well look for a place to power up and start the night's work.

Once she did power up, she yawned and stretched. Maybe that study session had taken more out of her than she thought... she was feeling pretty tired. She sighed, walking around for a little longer, until she found herself struggling to keep her eyes open. She opted to find a place to sit, just for a second, and settled on a bench near the shopping center. Everything was closed and dark now, which was fine by her.

Maybe she could just close her eyes for a few minutes....

It did not seem like the best idea to her foggy mind, even now, to let herself fall to sleep on a park bench when anyone could just walk up on her and find her there. Alone. Vulnerable. A Negaverse soldier’s dream target: a senshi not smart enough to keep herself awake in public. She never even took naps in her day to day life, and she had been up later than this on other nights with no trouble at all! Why, all of a sudden, did she feel like she had not slept in days?

Maybe it was the cold. Maybe she should get inside. Was this hyperthermia? There was no way she would have managed to get it just by walking from the library to here. She had a coat on the whole way until she powered up, after all. Her mind was working overdrive, thinking over anything it could, just in an effort to keep herself awake. For a moment, she thought it was working, until she took the time to congratulate herself on that fact instead of getting up and going back to patrol.

Soon enough, her head drooped where she was sitting, upright with her hands demurely folded in her lap, and she fell to sleep. It was not the deepest sleep, but she was certainly out like a light. Weirdly, she would almost swear, when she woke up, that she heard that silly new song playing around her somewhere. Or maybe she just had it stuck in her head. Either way, it went with her to her dreams.

Delaney had put a lot of thought into just where she wanted to patrol that evening. It wasn't always easy creating reasons to get into the city itself but tonight there was no need to make up reason, tonight she was going to pick up a special gift that she had ordered for her parents weeks ago. Instead of having it shipped to the house Delaney had opted to have it delivered to a local post office and wait for the notification that the item had arrived. Now she was on her way to one of the parks in Destiny City. She would patrol for a little while and then head home. A note had been left on the kitchen table explaining her absence and not to wait for her to return for dinner. She'd eat out tonight.

The small package was tucked away inside her carrying bag and Delaney sighed before spying the benches up ahead. It'd be nice just to sit and rest for a few minutes. Her gift wasn't heavy but the distance she'd walked already meant she deserved a break.

Glancing at the benches along the path Delaney's gaze caught on a figure on a bench in the distance. Figuring that company was maybe preferable to sitting by ones self the bluenette carefully shifted her bag and moved closer to the bench. It was then that her senses went on high alert. Judging by the outfit the occupier of the bench was a fellow senshi ... but something just wasn't right. What was going on? Was the senshi actually sleeping?

Taking a quick glance around to check for anyone in the vicinity, and realizing she was the only one around, Delaney pulled out her henshin pen and brought on her transformation into Sailor Meissa; senshi of Bobcats.

Now suitably attired Meissa sat down beside the sleeping senshi and sighed before poking her fellow warrior in the side. The poke was accompanied by a harsh whisper of, "wake up!"

Sinistra was not really dreaming, as deeply asleep as she was, and it took a few pokes and urgent whispers to get her to stir awake. She looked bleary and confused for a moment, then jumped when she saw the other senshi looking at her from so close. Where was she? How did someone get in her house, and why was it so cold?

Why was she so hungry?

It donned on her that she was not in her room, but instead sitting on a bench in the dead of night. She felt like she had been asleep for hours, but her phone told her otherwise. It had only been about an hour, though her fuzzy head was still refusing to fully wake up.

That silly christmas song from before was still bobbing around her brain, though, as clear as bells.

"Uh. Oh. I'm so sorry, I must have nodded off!" She eeped, thoroughly embarrassed. Her face turned red, which was probably a good sign since her blood was running hot enough to warm up her cheeks. She could have been in worse straights if she'd been sleeping out here without the protection of her magic and glamour, but even so she had been a really easy target for any Chaos agent to stumble on.

She was very, very lucky that it was a senshi that found her.

"Oh, I'm so stupid. I can't believe I fell to sleep powered up! And I must be taking you from your patrol and things you need to do. Such a bother, I'm so sorry."

Meissa hadn't been sure her antics of continuously poking someone in the side would have been welcome but the motions proved useful as the sleeping senshi on the bench began to stir awake. Sitting back the senshi of bobcats ran her gloved hands over her arms briefly before taking in the fuku design of her comrade in arms. As she listened to the other girl apologize Meissa waved her hand in dismissal. It was just common sense to look out for members of the same team. Itsuki would be proud of her, wouldn't he? She was reaching out to others and trying to be a good senshi.

"It's okay. I wasn't actually patrolling yet just taking gifts home. I saw you though and was worried that something had happened," here her eyes glanced around the area but she couldn't detect any other power signatures except for hers and the senshi beside her. She continued softly, "I am curious though about what caused you to actually fall asleep. I'm glad though that I came across you and not one of our enemies instead."

Here Delaney offered her hand to the other senshi - hoping to at least make yet another acquaintance. "I'm the Senshi of Bobcats, Sailor Meissa. Who are you?"

Her trip home would just take her a little while longer if she wanted the full story about what had led this senshi to fall asleep in such a public place.

Sinistra could not have been more red in the face, blushing furiously as she gathered her hands into her lap. Her shoulders were shrugged up, tight, and she was staring intently at her knuckles as she gripped her skirt. She was so embarrassed it was difficult for her to even try to look at the other senshi again, though she knew how terribly rude it would be not to while trying to thank her.

It was a difficult place to be in, for the socially awkward senshi of brooms.

"I..." she could not introduce herself without looking at the other senshi, damn it, and she forced herself to do her best. She managed to lift her eyes for a moment, locking eyes with the other senshi for a brief moment and offering a very tiny smile before she looked back down at her hands. She then lifted one hand and touched it to Meissa's, which only made her cheeks burn hotter, to offer her best approximation of a hand shake."I'm Sinistra, Super Senshi of Brooms. It's very nice to meet you, Meissa. I'm... I'm just so surprised I managed to nod off. I've not encountered any Chaos soldiers, or done any fighting today. I slept very well last night! It's ridiculous, it really is, and I'm so sorry. Ah... i-in any case, can I at least help you carry your gifts?"
