What the heck? There's some mischievous magic afoot here but as hard as you try to tug it off or stop breaking into song, you're unable to remove the sweater for one full day and any word out of your mouth happens to have a cheerful tune to it. Hope you didn't have any major plans for the day! It had been nearly a month since Tochi and Runelucia had finally met in person, after adding each other as friends on YouTube, and months of back and forth messaging. Most people would have never believed that Rune was an actual, real, live talking cat, but Tochi had always readily believed her, and had even gone as far as to declare that, should Rune ever do a face reveal, she would defend her against anyone that tried to insist that she was CGI. Today, Tochi had invited Rune to come spend time over at her house for a few hours or so. With some careful planning and convenient timing, she had the house to herself, so they didn't need to keep their voices down... which was a good thing, because Tochi had wanted to record a collab with Rune, for her own fledgling channel of song and dance covers of her favorite idol songs. Kalani, the girl Rune was living with, had dropped the Mauvian off, perhaps happy to be rid of the cat for a few hours, and, once she was gone, Tochi revealed to the Mauvian that she had a gift for her. "I found the cutest cat sweater," she informed the little cat, pulling the afformentioned garment out of a shopping bag for the kitten to see, "It's my gift for you- Merry Christmas!" "Do you want to try it on now?"

"Wow! How thoughtful and kind of you! Thanks, Tochi!" Rune exclaimed happily, making slight hops amid her rising excitement. Ever since the two grew acquainted, Rune dearly fancied meeting with this like-minded page in person. She even hoped that Tochi and Kalani could become friends, but it appears that Rune befriended Tochi sooner... which isn't a problem since their interests aligned much like how two star-crossed lovers reunited. That was probably a rather poor comparison, but the rarity of these two enthusiasts getting together for a good time was that rare? "And yeah! I'd like to try it on!" Rune assented, not knowing what mischief lay before her....

Tochi happily helped Rune into the sweater, as it was a little impossible for the kitten to do it herself. Personally, she was pleased to hear that the Mauvian seemed to like it so far; she'd spent quite some time shopping around, trying to find the perfect (and cutest!) sweater for her #1 favorite cat idol. It had been somewhat difficult, seeing as most of the pet stores she went to mainly carried clothes for dogs, but then she had finally stumbled across one, not only the last one remaining, but on sale, too. Once she had made certain that the sweater fit Rune, Tochi waited eagerly, awaiting the Mauvian's feedback. "Well? What do you think?"

Rune circled herself around and marveled at herself once she found a reflective surface in which she could stare at herself at. "It's lovely!" Rune gasped happily, her eyes twinkling in excitement and awe and tail swishing in excitement, "It fits me so well! Thanks again, Tochi!" Rarely would she be given clothing that contained the amount of thought and kindness, to begin with especially since to the world at large... she was but a mere kitten after all. Seeing Tochi rise to the occasion was highly gratifying (Kalani could stand to look at Tochi as an example of an exemplary person, probably?). Moreover, Rune could not help but think that Tochi has a very good eye for fashion (and just may give Kalani a run for her money... not that she would ever tell that to her openly). Rune was enjoying the vivid red of the sweater and the striking striped bow of the sweater and how comfortable it felt wearing it... Although, as things go, Rune mused that this sweater should best be worn during appropriate occasions... such as caroling outdoors or out and about together with the likes of her friend Tochi. Therefore, after coughing a bit to stir away the silence that permeated the room, Rune cast her gaze upward towards Tochi and meekly asked, "Do you think you could help me out of this sweater? I think I should wear it whenever we occasion to go out, which isn't why I am here in the first place, of course." After all, Rune was here to chill at Tochi's place and marvel at Tochi's... "shrine" filled with various idol paraphernalia, CDs, magazine cutouts, and so on... such things that Rune could only dream of owning as Kalani generally forbade her to produce her own miniature fort of idol merch of her own. But hey, at the very least, Rune could keep dreaming of it and more... Merurulince sorry that this took me so long to get back to this thread...

"You're welcome! I'm so happy you like it!" Tochi exclaimed, absolutely delighted to get approval from the kitten. Shopping for her siblings had been hard, especially Morie, but Rune? She and the Mauvian were practically kindred spirits, two halves of a whole; until Tochi had met Rune, she had known no one else who shared her love of idols on the same level as she. It was really great, and Tochi looked forward to their future collaborations as they made their adventure into the world of idols together. Briefly, Tochi was a bit distracted by her daydream scenarios of the two of them as famous idols, but was soon pulled out of her daydreams by Rune's voice. "Oh!" came the initial reply, because she had been hoping to snap a few photos of Rune in the sweater, "Okay, good idea! You can wear it when we go sing karaoke together." Tochi then moved to help the kitten out of the sweater, wanting to be careful so as to not accidentally damage the garment, but quickly ran into a problem. "Um... I think it's stuck?" Asashikka i forgot to write this in, but tochi thinks morie would have been proud of her for being thrifty... but also would wonder why she was buying a sweater for a cat lol

"W-what do you mean it's stuck?" Rune blinked apprehensively. Rune tried to wriggle out of the sweater, gently pawing at it slightly by herself but to no avail. She shook a bit briskly and gazed upwards at Tochi with plaintive and confused eyes. Perhaps.. the sweater was simply attached to her fur? It didn't feel uncomfortable, but perhaps her exceedingly fluffy frame may be what is keeping the sweater from being removed... in theory. "Um... how about.. trying again? Maybe a bit differently?" Rune was unsure if there was a different way of removing the sweater.. but it was worth asking at the very least. Merurulince omg I am so sorry that I took forever to get back into this ;;

Tochi was trying really hard not to damage the sweater, because she really did want to see Rune wear it for future outings, but try as she might, she couldn't get the sweater off of the Mauvian. She didn't really understand it- it had gone on without any troubles, but now it wouldn't come off? "It's... stuck," she repeated, unsure of what else to say. What did they do now? Tochi pondered maybe texting her sister, but... she was also pretty sure Morie wouldn't believe her.

"It's... stuck..." Rune helplessly repeated. She deflated on her haunches and sighed to herself, "This is such a nice sweater too... and I really like it so much... so why won't it be nice enough to come off of me, too?" Rune tried not to get overly worried, and she certainly does not feel any less grateful for the gift. However, like Tochi, she too believed that there is a time and place for as sweater such as the one that is persistently worn on her. Yet, she also cannot help but wonder how much of a problem this sweater would pose if it couldn't be adequately removed. Rune loathed to think of complying to more forceful means of removal, but fortunately, or so Rune hoped, Tochi could.. well... possibly get it mended if it boils down to it.

" I don't know," Tochi replied, sounding quite defeated, "Do you think the sweater... shrunk? I thought it was the right size, but maybe it wasn't..." Could the sweater be enchanted, somehow? Tochi wasn't one to think of such things, but this was such a mystery, all in all.

"You know Tochi... I highly doubt it could shrink right after I put it on... I bet... it's enchanted," Rune scrunched her brow a bit while she continued to softly paw at her sweater before softly sighing again. She was... no stranger to enchantments, but this sure is one kind of prank that she would not miss once she is free of its spell. "Do you think... we ought to try to deconstruct a part of the sweater to see what happens next? ... I am sure that we could put it back together if we do find that it works," suggested Rune. Merurulince I wonder what will happen next...

"Deconstruct? Like... cut off a piece of it?" Tochi asked, wondering how possible this was, "We could try..." Certainly, if there was anything they could attempt to do, they should do it! Tochi certainly hated to see her Mauvian friend suffer, even if it seemed harmless enough, with Rune simply being... a little more musical. "I'll go get a pair of scissors- be right back!"

Runelucia waited pensively for Tochi with bated breath. The sweater being unusually stuck on her was not quite what she had in mind when it came to this sort of thing. What she was worried about was how it would affect her fur. She placed a lot of value on her fur, so this situation was quite worrisome. Not a moment too soon, Tochi returned with scissors and they both watched and see if the scissors could deconstruct the sweater. Unfortunately, it was beyond their understanding as the scissors failed to penetrate the sweater at all. Rune attempted to "loosen" the sweater by rolling about here and there, but she wasn't able to bend the sweater to her will. In the end, both Tochi and Rune agreed to wait a day and see if anything new happens to the stubborn sweater... As dawn broke, Rune woke with a stir. She pawed her sweater groggily and lo and behold... it was loose! And, without further ado, she was able to remove her sweater without trouble. She felt confused by this strange and unusual phenomenon and almost felt that she should pursue this curiosity... Yet, at the same time, Rune felt that it was best that this mystery, harmless as it was in the end, was best left forgotten.
