Among the nearby winter wonderland festivities sits a natural-made skating rink, constantly covered in men and women of all ages and all range of skill - some skate like pros and some are clearly new to the sport. As you make your way onto the ice, you seem to be doing fine… that is, until a wayward snowball comes hurtling in your direction -- look out! Hands find their way around you… have you been saved by a friend, or perhaps a good Samaritan that was skating by? Do they manage to keep you standing or did you manage to take them down with you? One thing's for certain...not even the most professional of ice skaters could have prepared themselves for that!

In part of her ongoing efforts to Become An Idol, Tochi had taken up ice skating, spending some of her funds on lessons, funds she had saved up for flying to Akihabara to visit the AKB48 theater... among other things. Truthfully, she didn't know of any idol groups that performed on ice, but it didn't seem too far out of the realm of plausibility, given that her favorite idol anime had idols that traveled through space and piloted giant mechs, so... it was possible? In any case, Tochi had figured that it wouldn't hurt to add another talent to her list of things that definitely would get her noticed and recruited to be an idol.

So far, she was far from being anywhere near 'pro', but Tochi was a fast learner, and had at least mastered the basics. At the very very least, she had mastered not falling, and maybe even started mastering some of the really basic skating moves! So she was getting there, slowly but surely.

News of a carnival in town eventually made their way to Tochi, as well as the discovery of there being an ice skating rink, and naturally, she had to go check it out. In another place and time, she might have opted to go in full idol cosplay, but for today, she still managed to dress up in a cute and warm outfit despite that. She had tried to get her sister to come with her, but Morie was busy as always, studying for finals, and had declined; it was probably only by pure luck that her big sis was too busy to inquire as to if Tochi herself had finished her own homework (she hadn’t).

Making her way out onto the ice, Tochi kept things simple rather than attempt to do any showing off, skating in circles around the rink, like most everyone else was doing. It was fun even if it was simple, and she found herself humming one of her favorite idol songs. If she pretended not to notice the other people around, it could almost be like a scene out of an idol music video, even... though sadly there weren't any other fellow idols to perform with. She could, perhaps, pretend the other skaters were background dancers… maybe. True, it would have been nice to have friends to skate with, but perhaps eventually, she could take Rune with her, even though she wasn’t certain as to how to skate with a cat.

Well, she could always ask the Mauvian later, when they met up again; Tochi was pretty sure Rune’d love to go on an idol ice skating adventure with her in some way or another. In the meantime, she continued to skate along, humming her idol songs as before. It’d be nice if she could make a new friend or two today, she thought, and it would be even better if they were as into idols as she was.

It’d also be nice if she could convince Morie to ditch her books for once and join her.

hope this is okay to start with!
