Quote: Fresh snow has fallen over Destiny City for the third time this week; most people seem to have stayed inside today due to a particularly heavy flurry, but you find yourself outside tonight for some reason. The weather has faded, revealing a sparkling night sky. Much of the ground is covered in a crisp layer of snow--but more than that, beautiful flowers in the shape of snowflakes have sprouted in the ground. They grow in small patches and permeate a pleasant, sweet fragrance. If the flowers are not kept in freezing temperatures, they melt, but fur the duration of their lifespan they are beautiful, fragile things. In such a busy metropolis, isn't it nice to take a moment to take a moment and appreciate nature? Even if there does seem to be something a little magical about this? After the third snowfall of the week most people avoided being outside as much as possible but Pat wasn’t most people. He enjoyed the outdoors, not that he would go camping in this weather… he wasn’t stupid. No, what he was currently doing was going on a nighttime walk with his girlfriend. A romantic, if chilly, walk through one of the larger parks in the city. The sparkled above them, the few strong stars bright against the black velvet of the clear sky. If only the city was dark, so many more stars would be shining above them. He tugged his coat a little closer even as he stretched out his gloved hand and snagged Fi’s. “It’s not much of a date but then again I get to spend a beautiful night with a beautiful woman so there isn’t really anything to complain about.” He grinned and tipped his hat covered head forward, deeper into the park, “Shall we?”

Making time for dates was something that Fiona had been attempting to prioritize. Life kept her, and her boyfriend, busy but if she didn't make time for the people she loved then the relationships would fall apart and she had long since decided that wasn't something she was willing to accept anymore.
It helped, certainly, that the people she kept close to her heart now were always eager to make time for her-- they didn't leave her high and dry no matter what the circumstances were and she was eternally grateful for the small family she'd built.
And it helped that she was resilient, as was her boyfriend, and she didn't mind the brisk chill of the winter air as he took her on a nighttime stroll. Gloved fingers welcomed Pat's hand easily, Fiona tugging her scarf up to warm up her nose.
"After you handsome."

With a grin Pat bowed dramatically, “As my lady commands.” He tucked her hand into the crook of his arm, conveniently placing Fi right at his side where he promptly stole a kiss on her cheek, before they started to just stroll. The chill was nipping at their faces but the silence almost made it worth it. They were like the last two people on earth, or maybe they were on some frozen wonder out in space. Alone in their little bubble. It was a comforting feeling, at least for him. He didn’t feel the need to chatter to fill the void, just being with Fi was enough. It was moments like this that had him wonder, quite seriously, if he wanted to go further with her. He liked Fi. He really liked her. He might even feel something more then just like. His ceann daor, his dear one. As the strolled along the quiet path, their steps the only real sound, he just took in the scenery. The white dusted trees and bushes, the untouched snow, even the madness that was an obvious snowball battlefield now softened by a fresh layer of snow. The local kids would be having a ball come morning. Pat was pretty sure there would be a whole army of snowmen, countless snowball fights, and more than a few runny noses before the next day was done. As much as he disliked this city, with all its magical and mundane darkness, it was moments like this that reminded him why he was here. Why he fought. “Fi. Look,” the redhead pointed to a patch of flowers shining in the pale moonlight. Snowflake shaped flowers. Unearthly flowers. Beautiful, yes, but he still wasn’t going to go tromping over the snow for a closer look… not with his track record when it came to this city. “You don’t think they are anything we need to deal with do you?” He asked quietly, hoping that she wouldn’t think so. She was the senior of them both, she had more knowledge of the s**t that went on in this city then he did. He honestly didn’t think so but he wasn’t entirely sure.

Fiona liked the quiet.
It wasn't very typical of Destiny City, where she felt like anything could change in the blink of an eye and while it often made her apprehensive, it was something she enjoyed in this moment. Just like she appreciated that she could simply enjoy being with her boyfriend instead of having to fill the air with chatter.
There was a lot for them to talk about, but she liked that they didn't have to do it. They could just be, together.
"Hm?" Her head turned, blinking slowly when she turned to look where he pointed. She could almost smell them and that led her to slowly approach, brow furrowed. "They seem harmless," she said, letting go of his hand to give her the ability to crouch and touch one of the petals.
"I think it's okay, but we can keep an eye out tomorrow."

Pat followed Fi, hanging back slightly when she pulled away to crouch by the flowers. He looked on curiously but weary as she lightly touched one of the icy little ‘plants’ but didn’t really relax any until she gave her verdict. “That's good for a few different reasons, primarily because it would interrupt our date.” He grinned at her and stuck out a hand to help her up. “I’ll make sure to make a pass around here tomorrow just in case but for now,” With a mischievous smile the tall redhead pulled his girlfriend close, tucking her snugly against his chest and after a moment he kissed her. He kissed her the way he always wanted to. A way that would likely have people glancing away in embarrassment if they hadn’t been alone in the park. Had the kiss generated any more heat they might have started to melt the snow surrounding them, as it was his breath burst out in a cloud of fog when he finally broke the kiss. His breathing was a bit ragged, and he was more than a bit uncomfortable below the belt, but still he pushed for a nonchalant air as he asked Fi, “Want to build a snowman?” He waggled his brows and hummed a few bars of that incessant ear-worm of a Disney song, a wide grin plastered all over his face. Building a snowman really was one of the last things he wanted to do right then. He wanted to find a warm, private place where he and Fi could have a little fun but inside was quite a distance away. Besides he really had just brought her out here to walk… no funny business. It was just so good kissing her. So building a snowman, or snow angels, or a snowball fight… anything to help cool the urge to just pick her up and find a secluded spot. He wasn’t a damn neanderthal after all. But he wouldn’t stop her if Fiona herself suggest they head back inside. No, he most definitely wouldn’t.

Her hand slid into his easily enough and Fiona didn't waste time getting cosy at his side once again. She liked the way she fit against him, that hadn't changed in all the time they'd been together. She also was fond of his kisses, enjoying as he stole several from him and didn't mind that they were a little unfit for public because, well, there was no public to be found in the snowy landscape that made up the park for their date.
Her own breathing was shallow after the kiss, the woman pressing her fingers against the nape of her boyfriend's neck when she rested her forehead against his, eyes closed so she could catch her breath.
"Do you really want to build a snowman?" Fiona asked, trying to decide if it was worth pushing for a completed lap around the park or to say nevermind, let's go back to my place.
But it was cold and he provided a very tempting distraction from it.

“Honestly?” He winced slightly, “No. I would rather scoop you up and find a more secluded area before breaking a few decency laws.” Pat blushed slightly and grinned slightly, like a little boy who knew he was doing something naughty but still found it amusing. “But I said it was going to be a simple walk. Nothing special,” Purple eyes flicked over to the flowers that he was the one to point out and shrugged slightly, “well nothing too special. Wasn’t expecting that but nothing I can do about that.” “Just wanted a relaxed and simple ‘date’ so as much as I want to take the kiss further,” and he really, really wanted to, “I figure playing in the snow would also be a good way to work off the heat and something I have a feeling neither of us have done in a while.” He gave her a look, a ‘when was the last time you just let go’ kind of look. He honestly hadn’t built a snowman in quite some time. He had helped some neighbor kids once or twice but that was mostly to lift the top parts up, not build one from scratch. Besides it would be fun to do something so childish for a while… even if the main thoughts in his head weren’t so pg rated right then.

After Pat admitted he didn't actually want to build a snowman Fiona drew her bottom lip into her mouth and contemplated how much she wanted to build a snowman.
The answer was: not very much at all.
"You know..." Fiona trailed off, reaching for her boyfriend's hand before deciding to tug him back the way they'd come, back towards her house. "If you don't want to build a snowman and I don't want to build a snowman, it seems silly to build one." She let the words settle for a minute before she gave him a look.
"We should just head back, I want to know exactly what you're wanting to do instead. Decency laws unbroken."

Nuxaz I would say this is either a good Fin or your next post can officially close it ^.^ Pat raised a brow as Fi started to tug him back the way they came, a grin slowly blooming across his face. Apparently she didn’t want to build a snowman either. “Yes ma’am,” He tossed her a slight salute and caught up to her so they were walking side by side once more, this time heading out of the park rather than in it. It might not have been his plan but he wouldn’t turn down spending time with Fiona no matter what they did but considering what he really wanted to do right then it would be best if they were in the privacy of her house. “Lets see… I’ll have to raid your fridge once we are back but then I can show you just what I was thinking.” His eyes sparked with desire even if his smile was teasing. As long as they remained indoors, and away from windows, no laws would be broken. That didn’t mean they wouldn’t have a fantastic time though.
