Quote: Fresh snow has fallen over Destiny City for the third time this week; most people seem to have stayed inside today due to a particularly heavy flurry, but you find yourself outside tonight for some reason. The weather has faded, revealing a sparkling night sky. Much of the ground is covered in a crisp layer of snow--but more than that, beautiful flowers in the shape of snowflakes have sprouted in the ground. They grow in small patches and permeate a pleasant, sweet fragrance. If the flowers are not kept in freezing temperatures, they melt, but for the duration of their lifespan they are beautiful, fragile things. In such a busy metropolis, isn't it nice to take a moment to take a moment and appreciate nature? Even if there does seem to be something a little magical about this? In the end, this...date? Oh god, yeah, it was a date huh, had been Glen's idea. He felt like he knew Andy well enough, and told him so, and he never really did thank him for that summer day he passed out on him since well, hecticness of his final year of college, Halloween was out to kill him this year, and the first time he actually admitted he liked him, Glen managed to throw up on him because he had gotten food poisoning from thanksgiving (Which he still considered an attack by the negaverse thank you), and god, he didn't even want to get started on entering senshidom full time. It was grueling, awful, but alot more enjoyable than it had been those awkward, lonely and angry teenage years. In this chaos, he was only able to hang out sparingly with Andy, but had come to really like his personality, and wanted to see if they could work. so the other week, he had finally bit the bullet and asked him out. It was awkward, moreso on Andys end it seemed, Glen was only awkward because most dates he had lately never went through the sitting and candlelight anymore, and Glen kind of liked this too. That was until it snowed for three ******** weeks and they had to keep postponing of ******** course! And today, Glen had had it, screw the flurries, he had called Andy up, asking him to meet him at McDonalds because damn! he was getting his ******** first date and if it had to be over chicken nuggets in the freezing cold then so be it! He glared at everything around him, making his way to this fateful meeting, so wrapped up in his thoughts he never paid attention to the fragrance in the air.

For as many times as they had hung out thus far, Andy didn't really think Glen would ever ask him out on a date... When Glen had asked, the poor magenta-haired boy was beyond flustered, studdering his "yes" and over and over again asking if Glen was sure. To himself, there was nothing special. He was just some strange, lankly boy who often felt too shy to even look up from the ground.
No, he was nothing compared to Glen, who he quickly came to admire from the moment he had found him near-death caused by heat exhaustion in the summertime. When not dying, Glen was this amazing, vibrant, wonderful man who seemed to light up wherever they were at together. Andy's heart raced at the very idea of such a handsome person as Glen even bothering to look his way for even more than a moment. So the very idea of this date? Well, embarrassingly enough, at the question he nearly fainted.
He quickly became discouraged, though. Day after day this week their first date had been pushed off thanks to the weather. While he was more than happy to trek through the snow to hang out with the boy who asked him out on the date first, he truly didn't want to put Glen through that...
So he waited.
And waited, and waited, til finally they could meet... In a McDonald's parking lot.
His very first date... And it was going to be at McDonalds... Well, atleast they would be together.
Something wonderful filled his senses as he headed towards their meeting place, Gorgeous flowers, icy to the touch seemed to come across his path... At first, he thought about picking it, maybe as a gift for his date but... Did it even have a place with him...? Would it seem last minute to pick a random flower that he found...? It was so beautiful, much like the boy he was meant to meet, so he caved into that urge and gently picked a few of the flowers, binding them loosely with the ribbon he had used to tie back his hair. And for once, he smiled to himself, happy with just how lovely they were, and hopeful that Glen would think so as well.
Soon enough, he was there, shivering in the cold infront of the McDonalds but too determined to greet his date in person. And when he did see him, well, that same, shy smile reached his lips.
"H-hello Glen! I'm glad you made it here safe! Are you alright?"

Glen stood, shivering, turning when he heard his name, smiling at the other man. "Andy!Thank god you made it. " He took his hand, kissing him on the cheek, smiling when he pulled away, all together used to being forward on dates, so letting that guide him. he noticed the way Andy's hair was down, thinking that made him more dashing honestly, and the way his other hand was clutching flowers. "Are those for me?" He asked, looking up at the other man, hopeful. He did secretly like flowers...

Andy had thought maybe it would be a simple smile when they greeted one another. That was more than enough for his simple, shy heart, but the kiss immediately made him flush red and want to hide inside of his scarf.
"O-oh... I.. Y-yeah, I'm happy I made it too! I... I'm really, really happy I finally got to be here with you..." Was that too forward? Oh gods, that was too forward, wasn't it? Glen didn't seem to mind, so he tried to push the thought to the back of his head and focus on the fact that the most gorgeous human to ever walk on the face of the earth was standing there in front of him, looking so hopeful... and Looking just at him.
Oh this was going to be a terrible day for his heart...
"Y-yes, they are for you.... The way they glisten... Their beautiful blue color and how lovely they seam... Well, they made me think of you... I hope you like them." The panicked smile finally melted away into another gentle one as he held out the flowers, and maybe, just a little bit, he hoped for another kiss.

The flowers made Andy think of him? Glen could feel the blush on his face, at his ears. "Th-thanks." He replied quietly, taking the flowers gently. He was an adult now, but compliments like that threw him for a loop most times. He coughed, taking Andy's hand. "W-wanna go in now? We can warm up with peppermint mocha?" He really did want to be warm, and he did like hot chocolate, it called to him in this freezing weather. He pulled Andy inside, enjoying the warmth he couldn't seem to grab since the incident a week ago, and headed to the counter, getting fries and the long awaited chicken nuggets, as well as hot chocolate and a coffee. He....he really missed being entirely warm. He thought of the flowers Andy had got him, he loved them, despite his new dislike of the cold, as they seemed to just radiate an aura of cold, but he supposed that was due to them growing now he supposed. At least, they looked to have been grown now. Kapoodles we can skip thru to after they've ate if you like, feel free to say Glen had certain reactions

It wasn't a kiss, but holding his hand was just as fluster causing! Lucky for him, his ears and nose were already red from the cold, so Glen couldn't see just how hard he was blushing.
"That... Sounds really good..." And with a smile, he allowed himself to be led inside by the hand.

Glen... Well, to Andy, everything he did was wonderful. That sheepish smile from the compliments Andy gave him (he couldn't help it, they came out so naturally when talking to the other man), the way he grew flustered when Andy mentioned the scar and thinking it very cool looking... Yes, it was all over chicken nuggets and fries, but honestly, Andy couldn't think of any other way he wanted this date to go.
Towards the end of their meal, Andy decided to suggest to go for a walk in the park, maybe towards where they were setting up the ice festivities... But as they walked, he noticed just how cold Glen seemed to be, so he slipped his gloves off, tucking them away in his pocket, then took the blonde man's hands between his own, slowly bringing them to his cheeks and pressing them flat.
"M... My face is pretty hot right now... Maybe you can leave your hands here to get warm for a while.."

The fast food place warmth had been bliss, but all too soon it was over, and Glen was back to freezing, by the time they made any kind of stop, he was close to shivering, at least until Andy took his gloves off and put Glen's hands on his own face. His very warm face.
Glen felt his own face warm up, not entirely used to this at all. "Ah, ah yeah. Is there...are we looking at something specific?" He asked, trying to ignore the lump in his throat and the flutter in his stomach. If this kept up, or his hands stayed any longer well, well he'd probably need to run home.
And maybe, just maybe, take Andy too.

The longer he lingered close to Glen, fingers pressed against his cheeks, the more overwhelmed Andy became. That redness only grew more at the sight of the other man warming up as well.
It took a moment to actually register what was said, and he blinked away the confusion, slowly shaking his head.
"I just wanted to walk with you.. To spend more time by your side... Is something wrong? Do you need to go home?" It being too cold for his partner didn't quite register in his mind. They did say idiots don't get cold, and Andy, personally, felt quite cozy in the cold, especially with Glen beside him.
"I'll walk you home if you'd like... Just let me hang out with you a little longer... I-if that's alright with you.."
