Quote: Fresh snow has fallen over Destiny City for the third time this week; most people seem to have stayed inside today due to a particularly heavy flurry, but you find yourself outside tonight for some reason. The weather has faded, revealing a sparkling night sky. Much of the ground is covered in a crisp layer of snow--but more than that, beautiful flowers in the shape of snowflakes have sprouted in the ground. They grow in small patches and permeate a pleasant, sweet fragrance. If the flowers are not kept in freezing temperatures, they melt, but for the duration of their lifespan they are beautiful, fragile things. In such a busy metropolis, isn't it nice to take a moment to take a moment and appreciate nature? Even if there does seem to be something a little magical about this? The freshly fallen snow was a gift upon the city and the fact the clouds had parted just so, leaving a brilliant peaceful sky led Dubhe out into the night, the senshi delicately moving about soundlessly as the soft powder cover soaked her sounds and cast nothing but serenity. The city seemed sleepy and quiet, far fewer cars out and about as she walked to the park gracefully, the senshi moving. It was cold, and her fuku offered no warmth for her arms past her collar, but like last year she endured, standing almost like a deer in a patch oif moonlight to admire some rather surprising flowers on the ground, the senshi kneeling to pick one gracefully. It reminded her of Laodica, she supposed. The corrupt senshi was gentle like this, soft and kind, and Dubhe was grateful to have her friendship, the blonde smiling. It was gentle and soft, but alas, heat was melting it readily, and Dubhe felt a sense of wistfulness. She did hope Laodicca was enjoying snow, but a chaos aura drew her to her feet if breifly, anxiety on her face as she glanced around, finally, and hummed. "Hello?" She greeted. Hopefully, no fighting?

Laodica hadn't gone out more than she had to, of late. Oh, she still had to do her job and she knew it, but it... it wasn't fun. A lot of things weren't fun any more. She knew she wasn't... really at her best, and hadn't been for a while, but she did have her sister. That should be enough, shouldn't it? (It didn't really feel like it, but... she was trying to make it be enough.) But today she'd gone out and about, and there was someone from order in the area. She... really didn't want to fight, so hopefully it was someone nice, but there was no way to know without approaching and trying to look. So that's exactly what she did, creeping through the snow-covered city to try to get a glimpse of who else was around in this area. If it was someone who wanted to fight, then she'd run away --- it was that simple. Fortunately, once she was close enough to make out details, she recognized that senshi. Recognized her --- and relaxed a little. Dubhe wasn't dangerous. Dubhe was a friend, or at least the closest she could come to having a friend on the other side of the war she'd ended up caught up in. So she didn't mind approaching the rest of the way, offering the blonde senshi a tired wave. "...Hi, Dubhe. I didn't think I'd run into you tonight."

When it drew close, Dubhe felt herself pani9c-- until the delicate form of Laodica emerged and Dubhe was on the move to the corrupt, hugging her tightly and hiding in her only magic friend in the world, releif sweeping as she hugged the senshi tightly.
"Laodica! I've been missing hanging out with you!" Dubhe greeted eagerly -- possibly desperate to see and talk to her friend, and it was clear she needed the company quickly as she sniffled.
"I thought you might be someone who'd try fighting me again!"

Laodica returned the hug, pulling away after a moment to try and smile at her. She wasn't sure what had Dubhe upset, but hoped it wasn't anything as bad as what had been dragging her own spirits down for too long, now. She frowned at the mention of a fight, biting her lip as she stepped back. "Dubhe? Did, um. Did something happen?" Had she run into the people who only wanted to fight? Had they hurt her? Oh, she hoped not, it as so awful that people kept getting hurt, and she really juts wanted it to stop. Shaking her head a little, she sighed, then looked around to see what had caught the other girl's attention. "Are those--- are those flowers? Or snow?" Whatever they are, they're terribly pretty...

"Someone from your side made me fight with them." Dubhe admitted, staying close to her friend, asnd she lookec sad -- painfully sad as she leaned in seeking to apologize and comfort and seek comfort. "I didn't like how mean it made me. I never wanted to be so.... scary. I'm scared someone might force me to hurt them again. And I don't want to hurt someone you're friends with and make you sad. You're my Best Magic Friend." She clung to the corrupt gently, shivering before following her thought gladly. "I don't know. But there they are, and they're so pretty I'm wondering if you can turn them into flower circlets. That'd be fun!"

"There's a lot of people on both sides that want to fight," Laodica said, and shook her head with a sigh. "But I guess that's what comes from having sides at all, and there's no way to make it stop because they're too opposed." She hated it, really - hated the fighting and hated how unhappy she was and it was... well, she'd been tired for over a year now, and it didn't seem like it was going to get better any time soon. "You, um, don't have to worry about hurting anyone if you have to fight. I don't... really have any friends on my side." Which was true enough, but what was she supposed to do about it? Especially when switching sides would just mean losig things again, and she was so tired of that. Glancing at the snowflake flowers, which were very pretty, Laodica shook her head and frowned. "I don't know, they're lovely, but... I think they might melt if you tried to o anything with them? Maybe it's better to just look at them, for now."

"But you might make friends and when you do I don't want to fight them either." Dubhe affirmed. "Not unless they make you cry. If someone makes you cry, I'll fight them for you. You're my best magic friend and I wish we could just be best friends and ignore this whole dumb war thing, and I want to be a good friend." A pause, and she lit up. "Oh, but-- maybe we can work together to help people anyway. Someone on your side -- the bad person who I had to fight -- took some glowey stuff and it made me tired, so maybe you can do that to bad people. And we can look for bad people together and you could take that from them so they don't hurt people, and if you get hurt I could use my magic to help you!" Dubhe nodded eagerly then, lighting up. "And then if someone gets mad.... On eityher side.... Neither of us has to face it alone and nobody has to make ups fight. Because if people on my side get mad at bad people getting hurt then they're bad, too, and if people on your side get mad at you for letting me follow youto protect you, then they're also bad and I'll fight them for you. Then... Then maybe we'll be able to show people we can be the best of friends and help people fight less, because we found a comprimise." Dubhe hugged Laodica tightly, offering a hopeful look. It wasn't much but.... Maybe it might be enough for her Best Magic Friend? At the flowers, she hummed, head tilting as she looked over the flowers before plucking one and handing it to Laodica delicately. "They do melt, but smell. They smell so pretty it's amazing!" Dubhe cheered. "I wish they didn't melt,I'd bring some home for people." Like her cousin Zayne! Her papa! Her uncle! Her step sisters and her best not-blood family brother too.... Who she suspected was making kissyface with Alana, actually. Hmmm.

"I.. don't think I'll be making any friends on my side," Laodica said, shaking her head and wrapping her arms around herself almost protectively. "Not after..." She took a breath, then smiled, "Well, that's not something that's important, because we have pretty flowers to look at!" Dubhe's offer was nice, though somehow even more naive than Laodica herself was, and she had to bite her lip. "It's a nice idea," she said, not wanting to upset her fried but reasonably sure that it isn't something that could work. How could you really know for sure who was good and who was bad? She wasn't even sure who was what! ... Still, the flowers were pretty. She accepted he one held out to her, sniffing it carefully. "They really are very nice," she said, smiling. "But it's okay that you an't bring them home - it makes them a little more magical, don't you think?"

"You don't need to tell me anything you don't want to, but I'm sorry." Dubhe hugged her again, staying close to the other senshi. She wanted to help -- she did, but she didn't want to force, either, so, she offered all she had -- her presence, support, and the quiet strength of her convictions, the blonde offering the blue haired senshi a gentle smile. "They are pretty. I just like sharing the magic. Making people happy, making them smile. Like you!" Dubhe then beamed. "Your smile is like a big ray of light! Or Sunshine!" And she beamed, sticking another flower in Laodica's hair playfully. "Suuunbeam!"

"There's nothing to be sorry about!" Laodica was quick to counter, blue eyes wide and a little sad "You didn't do anything, and besides, it, um.." She bit her lip and trailed off with a shake of her head. "Thanks for not pressing, though, I don't like thinking about it." It made it hard to even want to get out of bed if she thought about it too often... The corrupt touched the flower in her hair, then shook her head again - she managed a smile this time, but it was still small and not entirely happy. "I think you described yourself more than you did me, silly," she said, expression fond. "You're the sunbeam, not me." She used to like to think sh was a butterfly, or would like to be one - they were so pretty, and never hurt anything, and nobody disliked butterflies! Now, though... well, now she isn't so sure. But at least she can have a nice conversation with a friend, and know that someone she knows is doing okay.

"Well I was describing what you are to me." Dubhe smiled, and snuggld the corrupt gently, petting her hair. "But you still make me happy to see. You're smart and fun to be around. And Lao? Don't dwell forever on the bad things. There's still a whole world and it'll be alright again one day. But small stuff? That's good to focus on to help. Like how pretty these flowers are. Do youthink anyone else has seen them?"

Biting her lip, Laodica sighed. It wasn't like she was trying to dwell, but everything had been so bad for so long... "I'm alright, Dubhe," she said, catching the other girl's hand in hers and smiling. It wasn't a real smile, not entirely, but she didn't want her friend to worry! So she would be okay. It was that simple. "I don't know if anyone has, but it would be really magical if they were like those fairy stories where they're only here for a night, wouldn't it?" And a little sad, but - fairy snowflowers! "Snowflowers don't seem like they'd last very long, after all."

"Made for a night." Dubhe thought about it, then looked at Laodica. "But then we'd be extra special. We saw them, if we listened to myths like that." Her voice trailed then and she pondered. "Maybe they're here to wish on. Maybe we can wish on them and it'll come true." She pondered then, clasping her hands together and closing her eyes tight. A wish.... Wish.... Shw wished....!

"Maybe, but I think they're what's really special," Laodica said, then blinked. Dubhe's idea was --- well, it wasn't a bad one! But she'd certainly never considered wishing on fairy flowers before! Were there special rules for it? How did she find them out, if so? "Wait wait wait, you don't want to mess it up, " she said, frowning. "There might be a certain way you have to do it. Like... like picking the right one out of the bunch, or making sure your wish isn't selfish." The corrupt senshi frowned and poked her friend in the shoulder. "Wishes can backfire if you're not careful." And it really was true, wasn't it? No matter what the wish was... "Please be careful, if you're going to?"

"Well, if there's no instructions, maybe as long as the wish is good, it'll come true. All we can do is hope and try, and wish. Besidres, I'm not making a wish for me." And Dubhe looked shy, smiling. "I'm making it for my best friend who I'm hoping feels better soon." She smiled sheepishly at Laodica. She WANTED the other senshi to be okay! To smile and feel self confident again, and maybe even get hugs. Hugs were important. "I just worry about people I consider friends and family." Then she looked at her sparkleboots. "I'm-- I'm sorry if I'm being dumb..."
